Thanks for highlighting my local hobby shop. That goofball at the end talking about his semi truck looks familiar. All kidding aside thanks again for the time you spent at RC plus. You’re always welcome to take one of my semi trucks for a spin when in the area.
This is my hometown hobby shop. R/C Plus! Purchased my Futaba FX10 from Ron and the guys back in '88! Raced the Traxxas Eagle on the outdoor dirt track and later the T3. It's a little sad to see Ron go. But he earned it and was always super friendly and helpful. Thanks for the video!!!!
Very cool hobby shop, the free track time is very generous of the owner, that shows he is not there just to get every dollar he can....wish I lived near him, R/C plus would get all me business.....I am very lucky to have a awesome local hobby shop also...👍👍 to R/C plus
Super awesome tour! Really happy to see this kind of experience in different places! Very important to support the local community and the deal with the schools is epic!!! Great video!
With my armor models I do have several R/c tanks in the 1/25 scale. With many that I had to modify so they could be R/C. Great hobby shop tours, thanks for the trip of shops
i'm taking the adventure bike down here tomorrow to grab one (or two haha) cars, can't wait to take it on the track. thank you for these tour videos, i've made it a point to make a trip and support these local family owned businesses, i'm about 3 hours from all these shops on your tour
free practice on the track... now that's a customer orientated shop!!!! wish we had a shop like this near me... especially if it had a crawler course outside open mist of the year...
That's where I bought my TRX4 kit and accessories. I'm just getting back into R/C and decided to by a TRX4 to bring with me on my motorcycle to record some video footage when I find cool little places up in the mountains on the Forest Service Roads using my GoPro Hero in the cab (bought a Proline 1972 K10 truck body), and my GoPro Fusion for exterior footage. So it's nice having a local shop like R/C Plus in the same city.
Awesome looking shop and great video, Hayley! I'm going to watch Part 1 tomorrow and continue watching the others later. Great idea to visit all these shops!
Being from the area I will say these guys are awesome! I highly recommend them. It's the only RC shop in Oregon that I go to. Customer service is second to none. It doesn't matter if you're a Newb at the hobby or an avid RC fan. These guys will never steer you wrong. No B.S.. They always shoot it straight. ( Whether you want to hear it or not.) But, it will always be in your best interest.
Have you ever been to Tammies in Beaverton? They are worth checking out too. Especially if you like other stuff. Like airplanes. Their car counter is huge....
I love that you brought mom! Family inclusion is one of the major draws for the hobby. Also, I really appreciate the shops attitude about the track practice. It makes a newbie like myself feel like I don’t have to be a pro, but encourages me to improve. Appreciate what you do Miss RCG.
I loved racing the outdoor track. The shop in that location doesn't look much different than it did when it first opened. If that old Kmart behind them is vacant that would be awesome to rent. Have tracks of all kinds. Start some carpet racing.
I recently joined your channel and LOVE this travel series you are doing, GREAT WORK! I have been into R/C for over 35 years racing and bashing for most of them. Still have my very first hobby grade R/C Tamiya Hornet and my gold pan Champ edition RC10!
Great shop , I like that offer free practice time. Enough of the hobby cost money, good idea on their part. Loving the series, even though I’m an east coast guy.
What an awesome shop… You really are proving that ‘a local shop’ is the way to enjoy the hobby to the fullest… This again is an awesome peak/video into a top notch shop… Keep’m coming…
that's awesome i loved the tour..hey if your in california this sunday in folsom is a huge event with over 700 vendors. would love to meet you and talk crawling sometime. then in july is axial fest west in polluck pines. that scx6 and boat was dope. i have a scx6 and a super baja rey brenthel.
@@RCGirl of course not your fault there are shady people out there. Does help that you addressed it in one of your videos I am sure it is saving a few people at the least.
I see your next stop is in Albany at Northwest Hobbies. I hope you will stop in at Eugene Toy and Hobbie on your trip. It is a fifth-generation family business, I'm sure they would love to give you a tour.
That place sounds a lot like my local shop which unfortunately just shut down. I have social anxiety or I would have been there more. I liked the few times I raced 2 wheel drive on carpet. I built a sweet M05 to run too but they stopped doing onroad by the time I was ready lol.
Ron ran the shop for 30 years and hes a friend. It's too bad you couldn't meet him. He was that shop, everything in that shop was there because of him. The new guy I'm not so sure about but I don't know. I haven't gotten to know him yet. I just miss Ron i guess.
Did you come all the way to Oregon and not go to Tammie's hobbies? What a missed opportunity. They've been around for fifty years. I've been going there myself for forty five.... They have literally everything there for any hobbiest. Next time you come up you have got to go see them. In fact, the kid that sold me my stuff. When I was a kid, my very first airplane is still there. Of course, we're both old men now. I'm pretty sure I kept them afloat on lawnmower money myself that first couple of years.
im curious, why is the nito scene so small now? in the mid 90's it was huge. i still have the Losi XXXT(Nitro), Ofna Hyper 7 and Losi LST Monster truck.
Battery technology has improved a ton. He mentioned if you wanted extended run times in the 80s/90s, it had to be gas. Lipos nowadays last a long time and have high discharge rates making them preferable. Gas is a lot noisier too and you can't travel on an airplane with them.
@The RC Girl thats true. they wont allow it on the plane. a person's best bet is to see if a hobby shop has it where ever a person but u wont be able to bring it back home......electric would be the way to go now but to be honest i still like the sound of an engine running. i would think u can take a 1/5 scale gas(the gas u get at the pump)car on the plane as long as there is no gas in it. cause u go to any gas station for that type of car, just cant with nitro.
Watch the other tour stops!

They are putting something in there now. That's been vacant for YEARS.
This is one of the coolest series. Glad you went out to just showcase local stores.

Amazing friend
Very good video showcase of that RC shop, that shop is amazing. When they get the crawler course complete a second video would be nice.
Another nice facility, thanks to the crew there for sharing with us. Wish we had more tracks in Eastern NC! Btw Hayley you are super awesome!
Fun episode. Would you consider also showing in your videos what parts and items you might've picked up? Really curious what you found.
Very Nice😊🤙🏻

Bought my Losi LXT there back in the day 😊
Love this content! So fun to see the epic shops you have over there! Nothing like this in Norway :(
I wish NW Montana had shops like that.
So so very cool
Oh cool never expected one of the little scams to happen to me too. Reported!
@@creelus3983 thanks i'm trying to delete them all.

Nitro for life!

I wish we had RC shops on that scale here in the U.K. My local shop is great, but tiny by comparison.
❤the channel
really cool to see some local shops in Oregon. Are you also from Oregon?
I miss the 90's real outdoor dirt off road racing ,race now on small indoor concrete oval
I had a b3 I wish I still had it.
TAH-MEE-YAH😄
Beautiful video from a beautiful girl 😊
Come on out to Japan next.
Would love to. Any shops you'd recommend?

Genial
Did they look for the vintage parts you need
Na I found them at another local shop near me a while back but they would have if I needed it!
But you never said if you got your vintage parts or not...
😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Where’s the northwest hobbies video 😐
RC svxxx!
Fly the sim
Crash all you like
Cost and stress free
No rc shops for 200 miles, nearest hobby shop is a 100
Bummer!!
Wish I find a woman like you !
