  • Among the trends today is Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman -- but it's not tied to his overtime goal, providing the Oilers a big win last night. What everyone online is debating is Hyman's so-called "privilege". A video from a journalist has sparked quite the debate after his take on Hyman following the wingers major milestone 50th goal of the season. The video has caused quite the stir online -- while some agree that there is privilege in sports, many were defending Hyman saying his accomplishment shouldn't be downplayed.

The really dumb part is I’ve heard him refer to his youth as being very fortunate. He’s a quality human being and it’s great that everyone has came out and said so.

Let’s give Andrew twice the “opportunity” and he would still be working at Taco Bell. Stop this insanity! Hyman has worked hard to achieve everything he has. Congratulations to him even though his parents were space aliens from the future who could afford a time machine and alter space time to help their son be successful.

Is it true though? Did his parents buy an entire league? That's not a regular joe situation.

Just look at all the sons of NHL players that are playing now. They all came from mega hockey backgrounds with the access to anything,in they needed. The guy who made these comments is so offside. I love Zach Hyman and as an Oilers fan I can tell you he was NEVER the best player on his team. He’s all grit, hard work and dedication.

Hello, Berkshire.... here's a newsflash for you: NHL hockey is entertainment nothing more nothing less. For you to take it SO personally as to make a VIDEO disparaging Zach's accomplishment reflects badly on YOU not on Hyman

scoring 50 goals has nothing to do with how you were brought up and it's unfortuate that this guy had to use one of NHL's best to make himself look good.

My god, he’s supposed to acknowledge his privilege? Hyman is a genuine good guy, damn ,him and nuge do roadside assistance in Edmonton. The guy destroyed me in hockey pool playoffs and I still couldn’t stop cheering for him. Some of these leftists need to stfu.

It truly is a rich kids sport. With kids in hockey I can tell you this. We won’t be able to afford league fees in the coming years. He is a hard worker no doubt about that.

Perfect!! I am rich!! My son can also score 50 goals!!
❤ Next year, he'll go hit 70 homers a season in MLB.
❤ After that, he'll score 30 touchdowns a season in NFL.
❤ After that, he'll get 4,000 points in a season in NBA.
Hmmm ... I wonder why Bill Gates's son cannot do any of the above ...

It’s not the time to bring it up, it was stupid to bring it up in regards to 1 player hitting that milestone but that being said he’s absolutely right what he said. Hockey is an extremely expensive and has a lot of financial hurdles you have to clear to successfully play hockey growing up . That’s just a reality . There’s a reason poor kids growing up in the hood don’t generally play hockey . All sports obviously have some level of financial necessities to play but hockey ESPECIALLY so. It would grow the sport if there wasn’t all those hurdles which would be a great thing. It’s the greatest sport human beings ever came up with in my opinion . But yea either way it was stupid of him to use Hymans milestone as the time to bring it up. Do it separately without focusing on one player .

      But that’s the whole point.
This video is of a pro Palestinian protester (basically) that is being Anti-Semitic towards Zach Hyman because he is Jewish
And 4% is not a “Genocide”..
Only 40%-50% is considered a “Genocide”

    • @NatsdadsamI
      @NatsdadsamI Месяц назад

End the genocide? Which genocide? Money doesn't buy values and work ethic, millions of kids play hockey, some families sacrifice to play, others don't have to, what difference does it make, because Hymans Dad knew how to make money and little Johnny's Dad can't afford hockey was an alcoholic? How is that Hymans fault? The guy writes kids books, donates time and money to a ton of charities and all jealous antisemites do is whine that they're not as good at anything as Hyman is at playing hockey and being a decent human being. Yeah, genocide, that's what the world is seeing, people who believe that are the same types of whiners complaining about "privilege and playing victim cards", no one cares but the ones playing the cards.
