hockey in western Canada hits different. I'm a leafs fan from the east coast and seeing the crowds out west gets me fired up
I HATED being a hockey fan out west when I was there. Growing up conditioned to have HNIC start at 8:30 pm then a midnight game to follow was beautiful. Getting to Alberta and then having to watch the first game at 5:30, rushing home from work and kicking off your boots just to make puck drop, “late game” is 8:30 and then come midnight your drunk with no hockey left lol.
We have to make up for not getting the same coverage of the east
When Connor McDavid hits 1000 points early next season, he will be the 3rd fastest player ALL TIME to do so. Behind only Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux. Let that sink in..
And playoffs you say?? Well he's currently 1.61 points per game has him once again, you guessing it, 3rd all time behind Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux.
He's the best player alive and it isn't even close, and when it's all said and done, this is the greatest talent the game has ever seen and should go down as the all time 🐐
And Pat will barely mention it because McDavid doesn't play out east, or on a American team

refs helped a lot, with dumb penalties, that how oilers can only score, the same for 3 yrs in a row

McDavid was out of this world good in game 1. Draisaitl was better than him the rest of the series. It's why it's so good having them on seperate lines at evens, since most teams don't have two shut down lines to counter them. Then you toss them out there together for the powerplays (9 for 20 on the series, with 2 more goals 3 and 4 seconds after the PPs ended) and get your extra boost there.

How do you not mention Draisaitl's beastly-ness? He's been just as good as McDavid.
Plan a night in the Moss Pit for one of the next series games in Edmonton. You will have a new appreciation for hockey in Canada. Best part is its not winter anymore. Shorts and a t-shirt will work

They mentioned how it is hard to find all the regular season games when you aren’t in a certain area. Most regular season games can all be found on Hulu with the local broadcast!
Draisaitl is the man together stopped if you want get a win over the Oilers. He is the key player, not McDavid. If you would get a points for bering on the ice by scoring a goal, draisaitl would already be have a point of on nearly every goal the Oilers score. He wins the face off (80%!) and protects the puck, his lineup guy become strong with him and he is with 10 points second best...
Oilers badly outclassed the Kings. Could've been a sweep.
Watch the net in hockey to follow the action. Imagine the space between the two circles in front of the net as if its the paint under the rim in basketball.

Edmonton is the most northern city in North American with a population over 1M. Currently sitting at a population of about 1.6M for the greater Edmonton area, probably will be over 2M by 2030. We are growing like crazy.
