And then the disappointment the following years. Then this year.. the year of destiny!! I told my wife this could finally be the greatest team we ever put together and we just might win it all. As soon as OT started you knew the bruins were cooked. Barely dealed with adversity all year. Couldn’t handle it when it mattered most. Kept four people back in OT. Only trying to hit home runs. Florida wanted it more. 2-3 players to every puck. It was amazing. Bruins deserved that L.

No one on this Bruins team is going to be remembered like Orr, Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby, etc, etc. A lot of middling talent that had off-the-charts puck luck all year getting literally every good bounce and that wasn't at all sustainable. If ever there was a correction (and the Panthers brought them one), they were going to be hurting.
