      @rickpapineau5939 Vancouver outplayed Edmonton handily in game 5. The Oilers performance was very weak, even if they had tied it up, the way chances were going they weren't likely to generate another goal to win. The thing that kept the game close was good goaltending.

    10 shots on goal through 50 minutes of gametime is beyond abysmal in a game where you can eliminate the opponent. Canucks are going to regret letting the Oilers off the mat if they don't come out MUCH stronger in game 7

    • @UnusualPudding
      @UnusualPudding 14 дней назад

      Canucks always had mediocre offensive coming into the playoffs even in nashville they always had extremely low shot output and had some puck luck for sure. It's def not sustainable in playoffs if you want to win the cup.

    Congratulations Oilers fans. You guys just won the series. This pathetic performance is why Canucks won't win the cup this year. You can't rely on luck and defense to win you a game when you get severely out shot every game. 27 to 15 were the shots in favor of the Oilers.
    The Canuck players refuse to shoot. When they have a clear path to the net, they choose to drop it back to the blue line, only to shoot and have it blocked. When they have offensive zone time, they choose to cycle and cycle. Except, the Canucks can't cycle. So a two minute shift in the offensive zone is wasted with no shot.
    It's constant mindless plays like this that keep costing the Canucks. Until the Canucks snap out of this, they won't even come close in game 7
    Doesn't matter if Demko starts in net. Goal tending hasn't been a problem for the Canucks. The skaters are the problem.

    Well, Edmonton came to play in this one!
    I can't overstate enough how valuable it is to have a player like BOUCHARD on the blue line. That BLAST is what hockey is all about for me. The CLAP of the stick on ice and the frozen puck CLANGING off the post and in. Wow! It's like one of the most beautiful sounds there is. Lol.
    As a Habs fan, I was a HUGE WEBER fan. Just knowing he was always there with that cannon shot of his made for a lot of openings for his teammates.
    When you see that stick blade way up pointing towards the sky and you know that 100 MPH shot is coming, you have to make a split second decision of "do I get the F out of the way" or "do I risk my G-DAMN life trying to block this F***ing missile"??
    It opens up a lot of lanes and can really break down an opponent's defensive structure.
