    Zach Hyman is the epitome of a genuinely humble hard working guy. He is an example to many young hockey players on and off the ice. He is relentless with the puck, always battles hard, never gives up. A loveable team player. His many contributions to charity, the guy is a living legend. My favorite Oiler. Zach you bring so much joy to Oil country and we can't wait for you to hoist that cup with that affectionate smile. All the best sir

      First, he's not a 50 goal scorer playing on Mathews line. Second-He's no "heart and soul" player. Tf you smoking? Third-Yea he's still worth $5.5 but how many forwards do you want your Leafs to pay??? Your team is already basically nothing but 4 forwards. Im no fan of soy boy Dubas but he couldn't afford to hand out this contract to what was a spare part on the Leafs roster.

    • @christopherrego8706

      @@vmi4172 May not be a 50 goal scorer but certainly at least 30-35. No one goes the corners like Hyman he was perfect on the Matthews line, so yes heart and soul player who plays on both special teams. They could of and should of moved money around to keep him, starting with say trading Kerfoot or not signing Tavares

    • @stardawggunrocks5152
      @stardawggunrocks5152 15 дней назад +1

      @christopherrego8706 nail on the head, the GM doesn't review who needs a contract day of and if there isn't enough cap space, whoopsie! Didn't see that coming in the off season, aw shucks! They decided Hyman wasn't worth keeping and that one decision is all you need to know about what Kyle Dubas doesn't know about hockey. Brutal to watch domi and bertuzzi, who I like just fine but they arent Zack Hyman back then let alone now, getting paid hyman's salary. What is the complete opposite of brutal and warms my blue blood is watching a long as hell Zack Hyman tribute video where this absolute stud and gentleman is getting the recognition he deserves, McDavid is lucky to have him even if Hyman is luckier to have McDavid as a linemate. Good for him, hope he lifts the cup a few times over there and Dubas has to explain his rationale and how he didn't have the cap space to keep him in his next few job interviews.

    Undeniably effective. He does all the little things right, without drawing alot of attention and I think without expending unnecessary energy - playing consistent and gaming a full 60 minutes.
    Very very smart. Elusive. Yes, anyone playing with the best centers like Sid/McJesus are going to benefit, but he was the most effective leaf in the post season in years past as well.
    I don't think any one thing that stands out in terms of his competency, but I'd bet his hockey IQ is right at the top. Mark Stone like player with a history of double digit +- even without being on top lines.
