The world we live in is called the Three Dimensional World or more commonly known as the 3-D World. What is meant by this is that our world(the world we can see and observe) is made up 3 things: Length, Breadth and Height.
But are length, breadth and height the only possible parameters to construct the universe and the things in it?
Many scientist believe that there are other worlds where there are other constructional parameters than length, breadth and height. These worlds are called as Higher Dimensional Worlds. But to visualize the 4th Dimensional world and other higher dimensional worlds is not that easy. So to imagine how the higher dimensions might look like, we must understand how lower dimensions look like from our world and apply the same logic to understand the construction of the 4th dimension.

These three together are called The space dimensions.
I say we are three dimensional beings because we have control over these three. We can move through them in both ways and even stop moment in a direction.
The forth dimension is Time.
We do not have control over time, it only flows forward and we cannot stop or reverse it.
A simple example goes like this. In olden times, movies were on reels - frame by frame. If those frames are rapidly played one by one, they make a movie. The frames flow through time to make moment. Since, the frames are 2-D , the movie is 2 dimensional moving through the time dimension.
Just like that, we are living in 3-D frames. Every moment of our life are just 3-d frames flowing in time, which is the 4th dimension.

For example : You observe a building.

@@jck1784hink about it. Suppose you are a square living in a 2d world. You will see your square friend as a thin line which is 1d shape. You can see his actual square shape only if you promote to the next higher dimension i.e. 3d. Same way we are in 4d so are able to see 3d shapes.

We actually live in 4D world...in 3D world all objects are in static stage...since in our university motion take place to define the motion we need another dimension which is time...ie if we look from origin of universe it's expanding with time...also like your explanation of you want to see a 2D world then you must look from another dimension..you can only see a flat surface if you are looking from top... similarly if we need to see a 3D space we need to view it with help of time...it's like in a movie if you pause you can only see picture... to make them move you have to add time to that.. without time motion is irrelevant ie in case of movie play button add time... ..so in conclusion 3D world is a theoretical world where everything is blank but can be represented by 3 axis .but there is absolutely no motion in that...you know without motion the space will have absolute zero temperature.(maybe in another universe it exit)..so it's kind of an easy conclusion we live in 4D... where the fourth dimension is motion with respect to time. Only don't imagine every dimension with an axis... Understanding dimension with axis is like finding edge of universe... impossible...but the Real question is are we living in 5D ✌️
