Thank you for the tip about the rubber o-ring for the shutter button! I got one from Etsy and they include an o-ring but I honestly wasn’t sure what it was for and they didn’t include instructions. 😆 Thank goodness I kept it. I just put it on and it really makes a difference. I feel silly though. 😅
Nice presentation. You can get a replacement hood for your 18-55 lens pretty easily. I got an extra from where else, China. It wasn’t expensive and fits fine. Also an eyecup can be nice and it attaches to the hot shoe.
Hey Bruce, thanks appreciate that. Oh yeah might actually have to look into that haha Have seen the eyecups a few times and wasn't sure it was necessary, would you recommend it?
@@MacnTeensVisuals I use it sometimes to keep the viewfinder window from scratching my eyeglasses. I like the EVF on a bright day more than the screen.
How do you find it using this camera in a light drizzle? I know it's not weather sealed, but is it extremely risky to take it outdoors when it's not dry?
I certainly wouldn't recommend it especially if your lens isn't weather sealed but we have had it out in drizzle a few times for a short period of time and it seems okay.
I love the wrist strap! Thanks for sharing! I can translate some of the items to my Canon. P.S. The links take me to a UK Amazon and I don't know if you guys will get anything from me using them in the US, but I think that if I visit the link, then I get locked in for 24hrs for you to get a % of any purchase that I make. I just don't know if that works when changing countries like that. I guess that we will see...
Hey Jon, glad you like it. We spent a while looking for one we liked that seemed good quality and so far this one is doing the job nicely and looks the part. Oh... cheers for pointing that out, honestly not sure how that works we will take a look and see what we can do. Appreciate the support though either way Jon, have a good weekend 🙂
Cheers, glad to hear it :) That's a good question actually, I have no idea haha. The link to it is in the description (It's an affiliate link just to let you know) 👍
I got this wrist strap but would not use it on my expensive camera. The ring attaching the strap to the camera is held on the strap side by VERY thin cheap leather.
It may not be a high quality leather but so far we have had no issues with it. I have had it swinging around my wrist a lot and the leather and stitching has held just fine. Each to their own though 👍
@@jordanwilliams1546 Hi , i am confused between them as well the xt30ii and xs10. Can u tell u why you chose the xt30ii instead? Better grip, articulated screen and IBIS on XS10. Yet u still chose xt30ii ?
@@MacnTeensVisualsActually just my own experience but I have seen it happening with others where they switch to a soft shutter on these cameras and they do t realise how much it makes them move the body and so you end up with blurry photos. I find it much easier to stay stable without it!
Excellent video, many thanks. Just got the XT30ii and needed this guidance re accessories.
Hey Brian! Thanks very much, hope it was helpful. The grip is definitely a worthwhile one for the XT30 makes quite a difference. Happy new year ✌
I didn’t think the soft shutter button would do anything, but it really made a difference on my XE2. Just made it more comfortable.
It's surprising how much nicer it feels isn't it haha

😂 No problem at all. It literally will fall off at some point without that o-ring so glad you put it on. Happy shooting ✌🏼
Hope this was helpful. I mean customising a camera is always gonna be fun right? 📷

This has the same MP and sensor as the one on the x100v right?
I am not 100% sure but I believe it does yeah.
Yes same MP and Sensor as the x100v and XT4
@@jordanwilliams1546 thanks!
@@RCGJR_ no problem. This is my first “real” camera 📷 and I enjoy using it. I chose the XT30II over the XS10.

Soft shutter ruins so many photo's
Hey Jeffrey, what exactly do you mean?

Why are you holding a dead hamster in front of you?
Strangely enough it works well as a mic 👍
