Items I would add to this list. Glass LCD protector, fits in there perfectly and makes it easier to clean the "screen." Peak design Cuff for added security, and the Capture Clip for easy on easy off two must have item for vacation and hiking. Also I do recommend one of those gopro hotshoe mount too. Easy to put on a light or a 360 cam on top.

I've been subscribed to your channel for a few months after buying my XT5. Love your explanations and enthusiasm. Apropos of your movie trivia, I would be shocked if someone hadn't already told you that you're the "Rick Moranis" of the RUclips camera channel. You give off a very wholesome vibe that makes it clear you're Canadian (but I think some Americans could pull it off under the right training and circumstances). I might be wrong about that Canadian thing, but just a hunch. Anyway, the "honey I shrunk the camera" atmosphere makes watching your videos fun.

I'm glad I went with the X-H1. The bigger bodies X-H1/X-S10/GFX cameras solve half of the issues that the X-T series suffer from that force users to use 3rd party accessories. Can't wait for the X-H2 (rumored to be release in 2022) 🤤

  • @itacatv2146
    @itacatv2146 2 года назад

Can’t believe you forgot the most important one. Adapters that allow you to attach 3rd party lenses. I’ve got myself one for Nikon G lenses (without autofocus, but with an iris ring) and one for m42 vintage lenses, like the Helios 58mm f2. These allow me to use my 8 Nikon lenses and two m42 vintage lenses. For less than 30 euro each, I’ve got myself a 10 lenses system in addition to the 2 X mount lenses I’ve already got.
Also insted of buying the Fuji wide angle zoom, I can now use my F mount Tokina 11-16 f2.8 and if I need an even wider shot, the Tamron 10-24 lens. Fantastic!
You could also get a third party charger with 2 batteries for less than 50 EUR, not to mention the power bank mini tripod grip.

Absolutely my all time favorite FujiFilm Channel on any platform. Love your work bro! Question: I used to use Shutter Release Button on my X-T2, but the Shutter Release Button stopped working properly as in it didn't give me the second level focus click only final shutter release click. Had to send it to FujiFilm to get it fixed, but they told me not to use Shutter Release Buttons... Now on my X-T3, I'm still using one, as well as on my T-20 and E-1. Do you think it's true that Shutter Release Buttons can damage the release button? Anyone had any issues with this or was it just a faulty T-2 release button?

Great video, as always. I have all those accessories, except the eye cup. I also have lens pouches, a hand strap and a camera pouch, all in neoprene and the latter two from JJC. They all are comfortable, inexpensive, useful and of good quality. Just keep in mind that, if your camera has the L bracket hand grip, the camera pouch should be big enough to accommodate the extra size. I have an X-T30 with a hand grip, so I got a pouch designed for the X-T3 and it fits perfectly.

Great video, I need to check out those extension tubes. FWIW, I tired the larger eyecups a while back and found them to be too soft, the rubber easily pulled off the clip structure and it's very hard to push back in without breaking or tearing it. Went back the eyecup that came with my XT-3 and seems to be fine. For metal L brackets there's a version on Amazon with both the grip and the side portion with arca connection (a true L bracket). Inexpensive, but really strong and makes a huge diff in ergonomics and functionality if you go back and forth between landscape and portrait a lot.

I'm looking for some help with recommendations for a tripod setup that supports a vertical position of the camera. I think an L bracket like you recommend in this video would be good? Do you have one that you'd recommend specifically for this setup and are there any other accessories/tripod you'd recommend to go with an L bracket to complete the setup? I'm mostly in social media field, but wanting to offer high quality content creation as well. Definitely need some expert advice to get the right equipment setup!

When I first got my X-T2 I took the eyecup off because when I tilted the screen out and looked straight down at it, the eyecup covered it a little. I actually wished that the eye cup was as slim as the one that the X-T1 came with. But now I'm switching away from my X-T2, so its no longer an issue =P

I find that shooting closeup with the best sleeper lens Fuji has, the 16-50 3.5, that I still want about a half inch or more depth of field. So, even though that very inexpensive and sharp lens focusses down to about 4 inches from the front of the lens, I back off to around a foot at the 16mm setting to get some depth, shooting a f 5.6 or f8. I use electronic shutter, and the 2 sec timer. If I added a macro extension, my subject better be a penny. All Things Shining.

Love your videos, but I disagree with the soft release button and the thumb grip. I think it looks cool with the button and it indeed improved the user experience a bit, but with the cost of accidentally switched the camera on when put in the bag. If Fuji camera's shutter button and on/off switch aren't incorporated I would keen to use one.
Also for the thumb rest, I have seen many people broke their hot shoe, they are not that strong and designed to be used like that....

Hi Pal2Tech. Thank you for producing this Fuji accessories recommendation video. I'm contemplating on buying the JJC extension tubes to use with my 35/2.0, 50/20 and the 16/1.4. But first, I want to find out if there are any problems mounting these lenses to the tubes? Because I saw online that the MEIKE extension tubes had mounting issues specifically FUJICRON lenses (35/2.0, 50/2.0). Since you have a 35/2.0 and the 16/1.4 does the JJC exhibit these issues like the mounting being too tight on either the JJC or your copy of the Meike ext tubes? Thank you.

That's not an L bracket. An L bracket has the arca swiss functionality on both the long side and the short side so that you can change from landscape orientation to portrait orientation on your tripod without having to move the tripod head. You just take off the camera and rotate it 90 degrees. The part you have doesn't have the short side part of an actual L bracket.

I find the thumb grip to make very hard to adjust exposure compensation which I think it´s the worst con of it.

On X-T20, there is no eyecup. I had to buy one to fit on my camera and I had to make a choice between the thumb grip and the eyecup because, they are all fixed on the hot shoe... bad !

Hi 2 Pal got a question for you not sure if you've answered this before.
I was wondering is there a way to get around the slow shutter speed limit in video mode?
I own a XT-3 and I see that it says the shutter speed cannot go lower than the fps. I want to achieve the slow shutter Wang Ka Wai effect so I was wondering if there's some modes or buttons I need to press to get around it.
Thank you so much your video has been very helpful for me to understand the capabilities of my camera :)

Try in All Intra mode, it should work out, but I myself did not check

Awesome as always! I'm missing tubes (next buy) and better eye cup. Does anybody know where I can find one for x-t30 which has similar form factor to the one in the video?

I thought you might feature accessories made by Peak Design. They rock in my personal opinion
