Yea those toilets are powerful haha, I've flushed bed sheets down those things lol. But a lot of jails/pens, at least in Cali , put the toilets on a timer so you only get like 2 flushes every 15 min. So you do really need to plan it out with your celly in those cells
Always whistle whenever you get a chance. It makes the day go by quicker. Try to talk to the correctional officers as much as you can. In the morning, when they open the cells, talk very loud. If you find contraband, make sure you give it to the guard. If you see anyone breaking prison rules, let the guards know. Let the warden know of the happenings of the unit when he comes to do a weekly visit. If you want something from another inmate, just take it. It's all communal property. When you gamble, just wager as much as you can. You won't have to pay if you lose, because you'll be out anyway. Make up funny nicknames for the other inmates and always look at them in the eyes when you call them. It's a good way to break the ice. If you are extra hungry at meal time, just take food from another inmates tray. He will understand. If the inmates are watching the Super Bowl or something, and you want to watch The Simpsons, just change the tv channel. Don't flush when you take a crap. It's noisy and wastes water.

My fav celly was a dominican from the bronx in for manslaughter. He came to PA as a driver and shot a dude in the back after he robbed his limo. Man was one of the most reapectful and easy to live with people i coulda had. I lucked out big time. We would read and write all evening and sleep all day. Never even a slight issue

A very close friend for 30 years was a hardcore Gang Member since the late 70's. I went to the Academy in '79 when he was in his 2nd year of an 8+ year stretch in San Quentin. I've worked Law Enforcement (plus; Probation/Parole) for 36 years and he is "retired" from Gang Life. Now we are a couple of "old guys" who ran parallel lives as far as the Law goes. The reason we can both get along so well together is mutual RESPECT and curiosity as how two men, can live on different sides of the Law and still be close friends. I'm curios to hear his "Prison Stories" and he's curios to hear my "Cop Stories". The main thing is to remember that People ARE People. If you want my Respect, then show me some Respect. There is a general animosity between criminals and law enforcement authorities but in God's Eyes we are all His children...

This has to do with the entire "prison politics" - more prevalent in California. A lot of people believe these rules are in place as a result of racism. They are not. These rules are in place to make prison life more tolerable. You don't want to be in a prison that is beyond filthy if you are going to be there for life. So you make some rules and split wigs when people don't abide.
I was down for just under five years. From county jail dorm living, to Prison Gym living, to catching a SHU Term, and then level III cell living until I paroled. And throughout that entire time, I only had two cellies that I vibed with 100%. The fact of the matter is almost all inmates suffer from some type of personality disorder and most were drug addicts on the streets so you may get along and think everything is fine for the first few months but after the ice gets broken and you see The Real, you'd be surprised at how some men are really bitches and can't help it.

My County has two per cell and here in Ca they're keeping more and more guys in county for 3 years or more sometimes because of prison overcrowding. When I was housed in County, my celly was same age, race and we got along good. If one had to take a shit during look down, it would be like hey man I'm sorry I gotta take a shit, flush then wipe and flush again. We would eat our meals together, I would use the chair and he would sit on the bottom bunk. My celly was cool if they were coming to pick up the trays and I was doing some thing he'd give them mine and rinse off my spoon, we had to keep our spoons. I just respected everyone in there, black, whites, hispanics, everyone was pretty chill. I'd hang with the whites but if I needed to talk to a black guy or Hispanic it was always pleasant, a black guy for example said, hey pimp you dropped your ID, I said thank you I appreciate that, him were good homie. I talked to one Hispanic guy my age often but never discussed charges, clicks, I'm sure he was clicked up on the outside tho. I seen white dudes cutting black guys hair. It wasn't that bad except it was cold as fuck, dirty and the food is horrible.
I think there is a prison talk about the difference between the state and federal prison systems, but I don't think I have done a video about the difference between county and prison yet.

I did about 22 months in a VA penitentiary (after the first 13 in county jail). I am not "swoll" or big by any stretch, but am a bit on the big side (200lb). I gained respect for being smart and intellectual. Guys would come to me with legal problems and relationship problems for advice. I usually gave them good feedback. If I couldn't answer the question, I knew somebody who could. It's always a good idea to be seen working out on the yard, with your shirt off, though, which I did. Making friends with some tough dudes who have a reputation for being "Billy badass" doesn't hurt either. Speaking Spanish almost fluently (I'm white) also helped me immensely, because _a lot_ of MS13 dudes would fuck with me, which looked good to the bad guys.
I'm 6ft 4in but slim. I never had any issues in a level 2 or 3 prison. It's all about how you carry yourself. Confident but not too cocky. Never walk with your head down. When you look at people, look through them just like you would in bootcamp at your drill instructor. Just like herc is saying, you'll likely never know who the shot callers are unless u get involved in a gang and they're not going to mess with you unless you give them a reason to, like owing them money.

You sit on the toilet with your pants on, which isnt dirty or nothing because we keep the toilet super clean in the joint, but you sit there and do your fart and flush at least 2 or 3 times. When the water gets sucked down the airflow takes the smell down with it. So yes u can flush farts and it's something you better learn to do.

In my country there are prison rules that you must know in prison for example when a new guy comes into the cell, there is a white towel dropped in front of the door and if you wipe your feet, come in you will automatically be put into the outcast inmate category, if you take of your shoes and keep coming in you will be a punk, if you put down your shoes, wipe your feet, then you're good or always bring your spoon during lunch time or don't come at all, someone may lend you a spoon but it might belong to some punk or outcast or whatever and because of that everyone can suspect you being one of those and won't have a life in prison. Yes, at some prisons flushing is limited. For example, toilets may only be flushed twice an hour.

I've never been to prison but Ive use to do brick work 220 at 6 1. I got the breaks beat off me by a little bitty dude all body shot , I got one hit thats when I kicked his leg while I was on the floor getting beat all to hell. Size don't mean nothing

very good advice. here's better advice: Do not go to jail or prison. Just do not go there. Then u on't have to learn all about how to act in prison. I have never been to prison and I don't know anyone who have ever been to prison. Be an honest person.
Got a question. In my country there are prison rules that you must know in prison for example when a new guy comes into the cell, there is a white towel dropped in front of the door and if you wipe your feet, come in you will automatically be put into the outcast inmate category, if you take of your shoes and keep coming in you will be a punk, if you put down your shoes, wipe your feet, then you're good or always bring your spoon during lunch time or don't come at all, someone may lend you a spoon but it might belong to some punk or outcast or whatever and because of that everyone can suspect you being one of those and won't have a life in prison. Do you have stuff similar to that?
