I’ve been watching these and thank you for the effort. My wife and I are going end of August to complete all of the courses (Old Mac, Trails and Dunes). It’ll be our last trip there since we are in our mid-60s and are looking forward to it greatly. Enjoy the game - it’s an endless roller coaster of emotions.
Erik you look like you're living in a painting @ 11:01 . Incredible green, rolling waves and clouds, hawk flying above, the contrasting red flag... that's art my friend.
I'm playing there tomo! At least my 15th round at Bandon Dunes GC. Looking forward to Pacific, Trails, Sheep Ranch & Old Mac too. Thanks for reminding us how fun (and hard) golf is. Bandon is truly the best (public) place to golf in America.
My favorite part was Eric pontificating about how he doesn't play for or worry about score and then negotiating with the audience 1 minute later about his missed tap in for bogey vs double. We've all been there.
Erik, today was my first time to play a PGA course. It was the TPC San Antonio designed by Pete Dye. I shot terrible, 107, but I nailed 3 pars that I will never forget.
Erik, having now watched all of these, two thoughts: 1) Your honest narrative and discussion is awesome!! Thanks! 2) You could use someone to discuss shotmaking on links golf for all the reasons you reviewed on #16, which applied to about 61 other shots during your trip ;-)
When I played Bandon, I hit driver (well), 3wood (well), 4 iron (well) and was still in the bunker short right of the green. I am so jealous watching this you go beautiful weather
love the golf attitude. i play with some uptight guys and win every time, i think because I am not really concerned about score. I love how Erik has a nice swing, golfs a lot, and still struggles to score sometimes. That's flog...golf
I dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Princeton Lucian Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Been there four times this year so far with another trip coming in November. They have five full courses, plus the 13-hole par-3 course, plus Punchbowl (the putting course) and the practice facility that includes a 9-hole par-3 course. The newest course is Sheep Ranch, which EAL has also "vlogged" and is spectacular with 9 greens on the cliffs above the ocean. There isn't a bad hole anywhere on the property!
@@TalkingGolf Oh, that place is indeed awesome. I first visited in 2001 after they opened the second course, Pacific Dunes, and have been back there at least once per year ever since. While the whole COVID pandemic sucks, it's allowed me to visit several more times than usual this year, and finally in the summer instead of winter when I usually go to avoid the summer prices. Our typical trip is 4-5 days long and we book at least a year in advance in order to get early tee times that will allow us to get in 36 before dark (a second round in the winter is just $50). We try to play every course on the property at least once per trip but it doesn't always pan out that way. Since Sheep Ranch just opened in June, it's booked 100% through the end of the year so we won't be able to play it this November. With the resort's COVID-related "Oregonian week" discount in May and the half-price green fees they offered while they hosted the US Amateur a couple weeks ago, it's been fun playing in shorts instead of rain gear.
OSU Beaver 99 I posted this in the main comments, but you look like you would have an opinion having played there so many times. Lucky you! Try again, as I have never gotten an answer: Can somebody do a review of the “riksha ” cart. Are they well balanced? Do the big wheels make it noticeably easier to pull? Does it make it easier to go up hills? Thank you.
@@My-2-Cents Since I'm a "local" being just a 4 hour drive away, I bring my own push cart. Specifically, a Clicgear 3.5 cart. Before I finally bought my own, I did use the riksha carts but it's been a while. For me the biggest draw of using a riksha or any other type of push cart is that you're not carrying your bag in the rain. I've never found a rain jacket that doesn't leak at the shoulders where you carry your bag so I always use a push cart when there is any threat of rain. In good weather I alternate between carrying my bag and using a push cart. I find the rikshas are easier to use if you push it ahead of you instead of pull behind you. Naturally you have to be careful not to let the thing rotate too far forward and knife into the ground, but I think it's easier to push than pull. The big, wide wheels roll through sand and soft surfacing better than small, narrow ones. There are a couple spots at Bandon Dunes that aren't all that riksha -friendly, most notably on Pacific Dunes navigating the transition from the 13th green to the 14th tee, and then on to the 14th green. So, my preference is a three-wheeled push cart like my Clicgear for the stability and accessories, but I'd happily take a riksha if it meant I didn't have to carry my bag. I hope that helps!
WITB Eric? Been trying to calc in all these vlogs... between woods, gapr and driving irons, plus the wedges... you must only have a half set 4i to 9i??
"while 'bogey' would be the term used to describe a score that recreational golfers would be happy with" so all those snowmen are just quadruple happy, right?
Try again, as I have never gotten an answer: Can somebody do a review of the “riksha ” cart. Are they well balanced? Do the big wheels make it noticeably easier to pull? Does it make it easier to go up hills? Thank you.
These course vlogs have literally become my favourite thing on youtube. Theyre just so chill
Facts I can fall asleep to this stuff

Cheers EAL I feel like bandon dunes is now a place a must visit at some point. I now want to play all these courses
The way you describe your swing thoughts is phenomenal
3:58 I'm always learning something new from these course vlogs
So true.. one or two bad shots in a row and you start questioning why you’re even out there. Then one good shot and you don’t wanna leave!
Well said!
Erik, today was my first time to play a PGA course. It was the TPC San Antonio designed by Pete Dye. I shot terrible, 107, but I nailed 3 pars that I will never forget.
Thanks for the awesome golf content!
I love that there is some silence between shots and not music constantly playing in the background. Great editing!
I love how you could walk off the 18th green and head right to a Labor Day BBQ with the outfit you have on. The commentary is gold too!
really fun to watch you Eric, and listen to your honest comments. def the best golf vlog on
That’s great advice! “Just because you can’t make it, doesn’t make it the wrong shot.”

Hands down the best golf vlog out there
BANDON!! What a place!!
Love the course Vlogs. Next trip we need super ace came from the Preserve.
It’s interesting to hear you talk about relaxation and lack of care during a round but still have a lot of fear for some shots
A really good honest review on your game 😄 Great content 👍🏾
Awesome video, man! Wow what a course!!
When I played Bandon, I hit driver (well), 3wood (well), 4 iron (well) and was still in the bunker short right of the green. I am so jealous watching this you go beautiful weather
“It’s all part of the sauce.” - EAL. I need a towel or headcover with that on it.
Awesome vid. Can’t wait to see more! Love these course vlogs.
what a beautiful day on a beautiful course 😉⛳
Par putt on 12. Awesome view an cinematography
Great course vlogs, addictive to watch! Thanks Erik Anders Lipoutski... 😉
Best channel on RUclips 👏
i hope you one day come out to montana and play some of our beautiful courses. great videos!

Don’t know why 14:45 made me laugh so much 😂
"Year of the cut," amazing Al Stewart reference
Awwwww yeeeeeee it's gonna be a great friday
12:54 --- does EAL not repair his divots?!
That’s exactly why I came to the comments, I sure hope he does.
Damn, the greens just do it for me.
Quite possibly the most soothing voice in golf
Ever heard of Jim Nantz?
"put yourself on a clothes hanger" best line ever!
Nice, when you going to Vegas courses?
Serious question...is there a filter on these videos? Seems too good to be true.
3 footers are not tap ins. As evidenced by your miss of one on 11 and one on 15 . Concentrate Erik! Great vids, BTW.
Good stuff man .this should have 5k likes 🤟🏻
Beautiful course. Looks like an airbrushed version of the North Wales coast
For some reason I must have woken up and thought I was The Rock because I have an 8 iron in my hand 😂
What do you use for the shot tracer? It looks so cool
Curious to what shoes you had on this one, they look clean!
DMK really outdid himself here. Beautiful property.
Hey cub big fan, didn’t know you watched Erik

@Princeton Lucian it worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you really help me out!
What shoes are you rocking here man. Golf club approved, if so, need.
to trundle (verb): move or cause to move slowly and heavily, typically in a noisy or uneven way.
First, love these vids man heading to Brandon next summer!!!!!
Have a great trip and try to fit in a round at Sheep Ranch!
Where can I get your trolley!?
how does he do the shot tracer?
Are those the same Bandon Dunes Courses or different ones? Either way, they look incredible!! Who else has played there already?

@@osubeaver9976 That sounds awesome - when you go do you usually stay longer and play several courses or one course at a time?

What kind of shot tracer is he using?
do a video comparing your vice ball vs a chrome soft or titleist etc.
what shoes are those?
Why don't you post any videos of the Bandon Dunes courses?
what shirt are you wearing?
They need a sign at the entrance to the resort that says "ABandon all flop wedges, ye who enter here."
Hole 16 is pretty representative of my short game 😂
No lip bogey, that's a keeper.
Bird tracer. Nice.
Wait you have a 58 and a 60 in the bag?
yes top 5
Do you have a 58 or 60?
8:55 looks like a green screen... holy I NEED to travel...
These are great! An interesting idea would be to have a co commentator who’s a golf coach/ pro to help you evaluate your rounds.
I get the sense you listen to a lot of Phish and the Dead, maybe some Widespread Panic too. Is that accurate?
'Let's get the BBQ cooking. 'Cause I'm gonna roast.'
Music playing??
I’m almost positive you filmed this prior to the US Amateur. Regardless, you forgot to do a massive club twirl after your tee shot at 16.
Best dressed golfer on earth and every other planet
At the same moment you said roasting a BBQ I actually just fired one up .... Strange
I wish u would go back to on course commentary.
amazing
Incredible course. Would love to see a Major there.
Your editor is just showing off with the bird tracer
I really feel like Chinese food now, needs to be my swing thought going forward.
Doak didn't design this? He just did Pac Dunes and the newer ones?
WITB Eric? Been trying to calc in all these vlogs... between woods, gapr and driving irons, plus the wedges... you must only have a half set 4i to 9i??
9:10 not a double! Cups are shallow man, they lip out way too easy. It's almost as though they're designed to be deeper than they currently are.
"while 'bogey' would be the term used to describe a score that recreational golfers would be happy with" so all those snowmen are just quadruple happy, right?
at 16 - hit a 5 iron running chip.. forget the 60 lob... or putter

3:46 so beautiful!
I love you!
this loose tap-in strategy is wild to me
Erik there is a lot of clubs other than putter and 60 degree for those tight little shots! A PW will give you a lot more confidence to hit that shot.
Par would be on ten if you had a caddie lol!! 😁
Erik, remember when picking a target...you're firing a shotgun not a sniper rifle.
All in favor of eal as the commentator on 2k22 pga tour
3 putt pars are sadness makers
That eagle starts flying around you after you stuff the eagle put... Mother Nature can be cruel
im giving you that bogey.
Cut/Slice same same
3rd view. Wooooo!
Get a caddy. Maybe you can break 80.
Bro these are not tap ins
