Exactly the place where I hold the tension. But it only empowered the tension unfortunately.

Thank you for raising that point. This video is a practice sequence that skims over some of the details that may help you be able to relax our of this tension pattern.
Here are some more detailed videos to help you teach our brain to let those places relax.

      Front diagonals

This movement helps you awaken the long front diagonals of the torso, the diagonals of twist and breathing. ruclips.net/video/pCa2oPXpT1A/видео.html
This method does work. It takes practice to change the deep habits.
As you are lowering down out of the contraction, keep your low back flat on the floor. As the front relaxes open, let the air be drawn higher and higher up into the chest.

@@ericcoopersomatics Very generous response from you. Thank you very much! I will try all of those movements since I would really like this tension (more like a suffocating energy) in upper chest/throat that has been bothering me for almost 20 years to release.

Be gentle as you teach it how to relax open. Can you move in a way that feel so safe that you system begins to accept the lesson you are giving it? Try each of those videos. You can do it. Stress will bring those tensions back. We are so often in stress. Each time you practice, you remind the system that it can let go of those tension. It takes less and less reminder as you develop this skill and awareness. Please let me know if you have questions or aha moments along the way.

Hi Eric, I love the way you teach elbows to the sky. Your cues are awesome. I feel more relaxed after practicing. Sometimes I just stake a few minutes to practice it. It is one of my favorite lessons. I love the way my back feels when it is flat on the floor. Thanks for making this available for all of us.

Thank you, Joyce. It is the movement I practice the most. I saved my life. I am happy that you are enjoying the changes you can make with it. Thank you so much for commenting.

Hi Eric, i felt a little anxious after doing the movement today then went outside and walked around the pool and felt better. Is it possible that a released emotions or something?

Yes. I suggest to you that the muscles have been working hard holding you in this way. When you get them to relax. There is often a time, early in your practice, where you can really feel the sensations of these places. With a gentle personal practice, that will help it settle down.
It is super-important to look at the other side of the tug of war. Get the back to relax. Think of the back as vertical lines ( *Whoa, Nellie* ruclips.net/video/aNtsjZK0kqE/видео.html ) and diagonal lines ( *The Wishbone* ruclips.net/video/D8AJ3J9qWc8/видео.html, *Yawn your Wings* ruclips.net/video/RadxAYe6Nq8/видео.html , *The Scorpion* ruclips.net/video/MSfjLt8-pcI/видео.html )
Also, relaxing the sides, with the Side Bend can also help de-escalate anxiety.

These feelings are interlinked with the tensions of the body. There is not one without the other.
In many ways we are stuck in the tension echoes of our emotions:
*Pandiculate an Emotion | Get yourself unstuck from the echoes of an emotion*
Can you bring yourself, relax yourself, out the subtle tension patterns of your recurring signature emotions?

I suggest to you that Anxiety is when you are running out of room to breathe. Tension is creating that.
