SHUTTER ISLAND Filming Locations + Ghost Stories & Boston Sightseeing: Cinematic Void Vlog #66

While in the Boston area for January Giallo 2024, Coolidge Corner Theatre Programming Director Mark E. Anastasio (aka Midnite Mark) takes Jim to the grounds of the former Medfield State Hospital.
This location has been used in many film productions, including Martin Scorsese's SHUTTER ISLAND. Mark discusses hosting screenings on the grounds as well as spooky encounters he and his staff dealt with.
And to round out the day, Jim and Mark walk around Boston to do a little bonus sightseeing.

I'll have to ask Mark at the Coolidge if they have any plans. They also do screenings the nearby Rocky Woods as well. They do a lot of outdoor screenings, so I'm sure they'll be back sometime soon.
