  • Cam Roigard is one of the most exciting talents in the game right now. In the last couple of years he has made every post a winner, rapidly climbing through the ranks after starring for Counties Manakau, carving up Super Rugby with the Hurricanes before heading of to the RWC with the All Blacks. It was here on the world stage where we all got to see the huge talent that this young man possesses and has got plenty excited about where he can get to.
The beauty of this story is that Cam wasn't the star growing up. He didn't make the rep teams and at just 17 years old he was told that he had peaked. His incredible work ethic combined with his love for the game and competitive nature meant he did everything he could to achieve his dream and did he what!
As you'll hear Cam is a champion lad, someone who just loves the game and wants to push himself as far as he can and it's exciting to think where he could potentially end up. If you enjoy this episode please let me know in the comments and please give it a share so that I can have more awesome guests like Cam come on.

I used to write for Rugby News, and I used to write long boring articles about who would become greats. I picked a fair few to be fair. I think this guy, as long as injury doesn't kill him, could be beyond exceptional..

My amateur eyes have been watching rugby for 35 years now. In my time Michael Jones, Carlos Spencer, Richie McCaw and Dan Carter and on the outside Antione Dupont have stood out as on another dimension in rugby, these guys were made for rugby by God.
Out on a limb here and Cam Roigard is the other. This boy, if injuries don't cull him, will be the greatest 9 we have ever seen and would easily by on the same level as Dupont who already stands as the best 9 to have ever played rugby...which is crazy.
Cam, if you are reading mate, good luck with recovery and you are blowing us all away with your game, I absolutely love watching you play.

Another great pod man!!! If Cam had stayed fit, Canes would have been hot favourites for the Final! Hope he recovers in time for the end of year tour.

As a canes fan it was rough seeing Roigard go down but the boys held strong and didn't get the final we wanted. Oh well, always next year and we'll have Ardie and Roigard back

Great interview with the young AB. Iit must be said, everyone is looking forward to both seeing his return and watching him, no doubt, become a great All Black, (G.A.B!!) --- all the best. On the subject of lies and scandals, probably be a few more in years to come too, people love to make sh*t up about other people no matter who you are. In those situations, those that matter know, and those that don't know, don't matter. (something like that!!?)

My sons favourite player. Every week this season he asked if Roigard was playing. He was guttered. Got a photo with him in Napier visit. All the best for recovery bro. Best rugby pod out.

What a shame would have been the AB starting halfback this year. Best running half in the world
