As a saffa blows my mind how Nz rugby has just thrown this guy like a piece of meat to the wolves. He should have been in the coaching setup like 5 years ago. Instead he's not " old boys " club enough and doesnt go by the book. He puts up the numbers, his team believes in him, he connects with the fans. Hes everything any union would wish for. It's a disgrace actually. We have had our ups and downs but difference was we didn't have a world class coach on our doorstep to look to. It was by chance that Rassie worked out so well. Nz rugby fans must be losing their minds

And ROG? Time will only tell. But a European cup his first proper year as a head coach isn't a bad start. Maybe too early to tell yet. But I'd be hopeful.

Ronan ogara inherited a team who came 2nd in two major comps, razor i know he won, but a true test would be take a team like georgia or 2nd tier and make them first! ok some restrictions on talent avaialble etc! but would be a true test like what eddie did for japan 2015 equivalent to chile 2022!

All rugby in Australia at present is screened on Stan - including this game (in full if you wanted to watch a replay). There are very few sports on free to air except NRL and AFL

Lovely seeing the coaching sync go and for those who had been on team tours, new clubs etc will know how you instantly get taken into the team, I had flash backs of my rugby days and tournament abroad, thank you for making this!

Back when I was young in the 80’s my dad got me up and said son watch this tape I have! It’s the ab’s v baabaas 1973 I think? I as a kiwi couldn’t wait to watch old school ab’s but what I remember most was the skill of the baabaas! Gr8 to see the tradition alive and well

Thanks for posting this, sooo interesting. WHY "Razor Robertson is NOT ABs Coach going into the 2023 World Cup is stupid and "Brainless" from NZRU. And the ABS XV- simply Brainless as well of any "Rugby Intelligence and Mana". They looked "scared and had NO idea what to do when the Babas had ball in hand. I really enjoyed watching this and "Robertson and O'Gara WHAT a combination. Kia ora.

So, Rog is a brilliant coach; you can see whats hes doing in france and the pundits all agree hes a great coach. What does it mean then when you hear him being corrected by Razor and agreeing razors alteration is far better? (1) Razor is genius!!! (2) Rog as good as he is can still take on board the greatness of others.

ROG however has much to offer, that's why he's there. The occasion you mentioned does not detract from what he brought to their victory. They are after all part of the same end goal.
