Seeing Michael spin towards that big yellow recovery vehicle took me straight back to Jules Bianchi's accident.
F1 only do anything after someone dies,
RIGHT?
It was behind the barrier 🤷🏾♂️
No it wasnt... @amonero1
I know. Scary
Out of everything in this video the one real heart stopping moment for me is seeing Michael and that big yellow recovery vehicle. To see him so many times bite it yet make it out ok, then when he is enjoying life skiing with his family to have such bad luck breaks my heart!😢 praying for Michael and his family. ❤
(R.I.P. Jules💙)
Et oui accident de ski a la con...
The podium ceremony where nobody stood on the correct step
Damn Alonso really copped it in that crash! He got hammered!
At least they went racing as oppose to the hydrophobic races we have today
Whilst I firmly believe in safety before entertainment, I do agree that modern race control is full of shit when it comes to weather. Gotta protect the teams' pocket books I guess.
Yes, hydrophobic is the perfect word. Made me laugh 😂
Love you videos man! keep up the good work
Happy that you enjoyed it ❤️, will definitely do 👌🏻
Well shit, ferrari pit crew was making mistakes even back then, they're consistent, give em that
Ferrari strategists have been just as consistent since Schumacher left.
To be fair, it was a curse thag Rubens suffered almost every year at Interlagos. He was good and often led for a while before some aspect of his car gave up. It became almost inevitable
Yet another great video! Keep it up!
Thank a lot mate, really appreciate it ❤️
Will definitely do 👍🏻
That wet tyre rule is the dumbest thing i have ever heard wtf
I can still remember hearing that for the first time. It still sounds like a April foold joke now
Not as dumb as no tyre changes all race in 2005
to true, the teams spend millons on the cars to win while trying to make them as safe as possible then on a whim the fia change the rules .what othere sport where the drivers risk their lives will potentially increase the risk.it is more like farcical 1
@@Joseph2302 That makes a slight amount more sense as the tyres were designed to last the entire race (And could go the entire race with the exception of indianapolis) And correct me if i was wrong but you were still allowed to change tyres , you were just penalised for it.
But the wet tyre rule forced Drivers to use a tyre in conditions it wasnt designed for. It would be like removing inters and wet tyres from the teams without making any changed to the dry tyres.
The no tyre change rule is still stupid tho coz it takes alot of fun out of the races and obviously it caused the whole indianapolis fiasco.
The 1994 rules changes were also stupid. They thought was a good idea to ban all electronic "driver aids", such as: Active suspension, Anti-lock brakes, Traction control and Launch control. Pilots and cars were not prepared for those changes. 2 pilots died and some others got injured that year.
I remember watching this race live as 8-year old, still one of the best races i've ever seen.
Check out the 1998 Belgium grand prix geld at Spa Francorchamps. That was absolute carnage which left 13 severely damaged cars. An hour long delay while the track was cleared allowed teams to setup the 3rd spare cars that teams had back then for drivers, unfortunately 4 drivers still couldnt start as they were in teams that had both cars severely damaged so spare car went to the lead driver. Te whole weekend was during a torrential downpour. The estimated cost of parts wrecked back then was $13 Million which in todays money is $24.8 Million.
And that was just the pile up at the start. Mika Salo had already crashed in practice and then there are all the accidents when the race eventually got going. The only team who suffered no damage from that weekend ironically was Jordan the team that won the race
That was a crazy race. I was so scared for Alonso.
This is the first race I saw ever. I was hooked after this one obviously 😳🙏🏿
You have grown so much I started I started watching you when you're under a thousand subscribers
0:56 Rising talents like Raikkonen and Alonso. Damm I feel old.
Great video, well done mate. Well done Fizzy & all who finished.
Happy you liked it mate ❤️
@@DailyFuelUp 56 Year old, been watching F1 since the Hunt Lauder day's. If not b4. Well done !!
Quality Editing and Narration in this Video - Sounds like this Guy Actually Watches F1.
Almost any interview with Kimi is more awkward than him with Fici at the end of the video.
Miss those times, those races....
Wait I thought it was south africa 1977?
That was such a surprising race. I remember looking for a new favourite driver every five minutes. 🤣 At that time I really didn‘t understand why Kimi was standing on the podium on 1st place. I was so happy for Fisiccella and felt so sad with him when he became second.
I was at that race in Interlagos, my first ever F1 event. I saw car after car crash in turn 3, including the champ Schumacher. I was soaking wet, remember my shoes were basically all water. Barichello running out of fuel, Alonso huge crash, safety after safety car and a Jordan car winning. Truly surreal!
When you have a race track positioned between the lakes (interlagos) you have to expect a wet race with an advisory to wear lifejackets.
I remember that race Eddie was mad that he did not win till he found out they won
I was at the race in Interlagos and I remember feeling frustrated when Barrichello's car pulled over.
0:09 That line = 😂 "more twists & turns..."
Interlagos corners/sectors as shown at 0:14 are loosely translated as:
1"S" do Senna = (Ayrton) Senna's Esse
2 Curva do Sol = Sun Corner (Turn 3 on vídeo)
3 Reta Oposta = Opposite Straight
4 Descida do Lago = Lake's descent
5 Ferradura = Horseshoe
6 Laranjina = (Little) Orange
7 Esses = Esses
8 Pinheirinho = (Small) Pine Tree
9 Bico do Pato = Duck Bill
10 Mergulho (da junção) = Junction Dive
11 Junção = Junction
12 Subida dos Boxes = Boxes Climb
13 Curva do Café = Coffee Corner
14 Arquibancadas = Grandstands
15 Reta dos Boxes = Boxes Straight
3:10 "First Corner" is the "Senna's Esse"
3:32 "Turn 3" is actually the "Sun Corner"
7:37 "Turn 4" is the "Lake's Descent"
9:53 "Arquibancadas Corner" is actually "Coffee Corner"
Remember this well. Even Kimi felt Fischi had won.
Oh! I remember that race.
It was totally great and surprising.
Almost like the rainy run von by Max.
He hadn’t quite made a pit stop yet - makes it sound like he had tried to but not been successful.
There was a F 1 race where it crashed into the stands and killed numerous people
Well, you obviously didn't watch any F1 in the 70s.
Why is the Top of Webber’s helmet blue in the cover picture of the video?
I was looking for some video before The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2024 and this was better than I expected, too bad I wasn't watching F1 at the time, that must have been crazy!
I think the crash at the start of the 1998 Belgian GP was pretty scary as well. I remember watching that live on TV and was surprised that everyone walked away from it.
@@simonkevnorris- that start was scary, yes. The multi-car pileup at the start of the 1994 German and 1973 British Grand Prix were pretty scary as well
@@nathanwilliams2152 For me the worse thing was some drivers at the back of the grid kept their foot on the throttle and piled into the crashed cars. Mind you I understand that vision may have been impaired but I think some of those drivers were struggling to keep the car going in s a straght line in the dry!
More like scariest in the modern era not counting Japan 2014/2022 R.I.P. Jules Bianchi
You must never have seen spa 1998 then ...
He literally has a video on it, brahhhh. Research about your waffles
Imola 1994 was for me the most tragical race
1969 German GP is far scarier than this
"This is Brazil" - TORETTO, Dom
Great video however the title, "the scariest race in F1 history, may be an over statement. As I am old I remember back back to the 80's and know about the 70's. Not trying to detract from you good presentation but the names Roger Williamson, Gilles Villenueve, Niki Lauda, Tom Pryce spring to mind. Well done this was a great video.
The 1960 Belgian Grand Prix was probably the scariest race in F1 history. Two drivers died in that race, one garrotted by fencing and one after being struck by a bird in a freak accident. Jim Clark finished the race with a blood-spattered car
Stuck with either inters OR full wets for wet weather for an entire weekend.
What was that about? That's a terrible idea!
If Senna was alive, he would of embraced the rain with his racecar and extreme driving skills. Right Aryton ❤
Thank goodness that day there was not a fatal crash....
Today this race would have been stopped from lap 1.
What was the most shocking was kimi smiling
With these comments, you'd think that every time a driver hit a recovery vehicle they were killed instantly. Well - they weren't!! Most hits that I saw were low speed. They were out on the circuit all the time. It just took one freak accident at high speed - well you saw what happened. We didn't bat an eyelid then.
"Scariest"?? Spa 1998!!!
Gosh, silly title. Scariest F1 race ever was Imola 94!
sorry ill take the scarier races back in the 60/70's thanks
Kimi would've been a 2 times champion with 2 different constructors 😭
Lap 53 wasn't in the 75%. So only half points should have been awarded. Who led the charge to change it??? Micheal Schumacher.
Yeah but also the season that got Mark Webber the drive in a Red Bull. That boy put that sluggish POS Jaguar into top ten starting spots it had no goddly right to be in. It showed how fast he could be and the potential if he had a decent car. I remember watching that race and it truly was insane. Four five cars spin out in the rain at the sicane including Webber who did numerous 360s before pulling into line and continued driving when sop many others just hit the wall. Ok so he crashed out eventually as well but it was still spectacular.
A Big mistake in the beginning of the vídeo. Interlagos is not near the Amazon river. About 1000km of distance... Where do you take that "information"?
I watched that one live. I was so perplexed by the craziness that ensued that I quit watching F1 for the rest of that year!
Rubens. You pronounce the s you know
Indeed
That's two videos I've noticed him do this. Just sad
And pronouncing "Pizz-i-ona"
@@espenbaklid3178 holy shit I missed that. Man this dude needs to learn how to pronounce these names
Yeah, this was annoying me too.
What Giancarlo receives off Kimi at the end of the race is what we call a trophy. The ones we have now - including that ridiculous Monaco 'trophy' - are just rubbish
Oh, I'm mad early for this one
Same. Thanks for not saying first lol
Shame lessons weren't learned then
A *thrilling movie* could have been made of *this race alone!!!* Movie Title: *The 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix!* 😳😯
Saying it’s close to the Amazon River? That’s like saying Madrid is near Moscow… European ignorance sometimes surprises me.
i counted 8 times were the guy made a dramatic "but it was short lived" type comment.
dude took one class about building suspense and thought he had the whole thing nailed. he's a hack and this was an easy downvote/do not recommend.
Damn I wish I was born a few months earlier
You had the right strategy, but you also had Jos Verstappen! . . . . . Can anyone else remember when F1 used to be great?
Also... they got result the race wrong, they thought that Iceman won but Fischella started his 56th lap
He said that
@@dersimonyt9560 I hope the FIA doesn't screw up a race result like that again
why using SCU instead of MSC
Schumacher / SCU.......MSC / Michael Schumacher......RSC / Ralf Schumacher
Alonso accident looked like a fatal indycar crash...
Seriously I forgot this race but men this race was a miracle no one died. It was irresponsible. Just lije Spa 98 or F2 Spa 2019. Or the other Spa fatality of the Dutch driver.
This is not the full story
In fact, Mc Laren did not protest too much. The race stoping at lap 53 mean only half of the points where given while if it stops at lap 54 of 71, that's more than 75% of the race hence full points.
So, Kimi was rewarded 8 point for beeing second instead of only 5 for the win.
I thought it was 10
@@dangerdean9066 the full win was 10 points. But is the race don't reach 75% of target length, it is only half points.
I remember this happened because I am old, but I can't find a reference. Maybe I dreamed this, but 53 lap is intead just under 75%
I believe it got stopped after 54 laps but they take results after lap 53 per the rules, but as stopped after 75% it was full points
@@naffnaff850 That was because Fischiella started his 56th lap and was ahead of Iceman
Fernando Alonso.. beginning to shine? lol
Had the result stood with Kimi winning, he'd have had 4 more points - enough to have won the WDC that year (assuming all other results went the same way).
He would've had 2 more, 2nd was worth 8 points that season.
Not even close to being the scariest in history, of the 21st century perhaps.
I saw a jaguar with the number #14 isn't that for Alonso?
São Paulo closest to Amazon River ? 😂😂😂😂 You miss for 3000 km
Scariest🤣🤣🤣, Belgium 66 was scarier and 1968 Nurburgring
Nice try. Lol ❤️ 😆 🤣 😂 Slainte, Eddie?😅
@@conlethbyrne4809 what?
Nurburgring in the wet was always scary and wet on the original spa circuit
english people thinks that every place look next to amazon river, thiese guys are nuts
It shows you are not an F1 fan andhave never even watched a F1 race. If you are or have you would know how to pronounce the drivers names or have heard the commentators pronounce them.
All these years later and the clown Jos Verstappen is still spinning out of control.
Such a stupid tyre rule
Ferrari always f***ing with the Brazilians
5* Safety cars
I was there and saw Alonso accident
FORMULA ONE.
hell yeah
hi
hi how are you
good
do u like f1?
Wow
F1 is so much better these days. Compliance regulations, quieter engines, more track limits counting, no miniskirts on the starting grid. Way better.
You can’t even pronounce their names correctly🤣
Spa 1998 was worse.
How about Imola 94? How ignorant are you?
Who was third? 😅
Ferrari é equipe de garagem, muito ruimzinha, na verdade Ferrari foi um time glorioso do passado, quando fioi outra coisa diferente do que a partir dos anos 80 pra frente.
It’s just 2003,not 2000 and 3.
Depends where you're from. Like D/M/Y or M/D/Y or Y/M/D.
For example, 2001: A Space Odyssey is officially pronounced "Two Thousand And One" according to Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clark.
Both are fine
👀👀
What is it with English speakers refusing to say anything in any other language correct?
He said Ruben instead of Rubens Barrichello and dont make me even started how messed up Michael Schumacher is said here.
Nah it’s just this guy.
Make your own videos with proper pronounciaten then.
Scariest?
Jeez emotion, moved on
Like this comment if you weren’t born when this race happened
Interlagos is closer to Amazon River hahaha this is nonsense information my god
Man im early
#drama
The commentary is AWFUL.
