    LOVED this ! This is exactly how I do my extractions . I noticed you use tissue to wrap your fingers . I’m currently using 4x4 soft gauze . Would you recommend I switch to tissues? Is it better for control? Or better for other reasons ?
    Also SOOOO happy you mentioned the mineral makeup ❤️ Jane Iredale is LIFE ! I find so many of my clients issues are stemming from their makeup more than the skin care they use . I try and get ALL my clients using Jane Iredale and MAN .... what a difference ☺️👌🏻
    Last question. Right now I currently do my AHA peel and then do extractions , should I be doing it the other way around ? I noticed you didn’t have to neutralize your AHA 🧐 what is in your normalizing aha ?
    Do you ever come to Canada 🇨🇦???? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
    LOL sorry this was so long 🤗

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад +2

      Hello Diana,
      firstly, 4x4 are great for extraction...soft and don't fall apart as easy as tissues:)) I use them sometimes too, mostly on very thin sensitive skin. I find that the tissue gives me a thinner surface and i can get more out with a tissue. BUT, the 4x4 is more gentle for sure.
      I love Colorscience, La Bella Donna and Jane Iredale.... amazing minerals that change your skin for sure:))
      There is nothing wrong with doing the aha before extractions, but i do it after because I often use steam prior to extractions and the steam would activate an aha which would not be good. Also, using it after closes the pore size. The pores must be cleaned then magic can happen with an aha:)) I always use the healing gel once I remove the aha....neutralizes it then.
      The normalizing aha is a professional rejuvi aha for oily skin. Its designed especially for oily, acetic skin types:))
      As for Canada....maybe:))))))

    Thank you so much for your videos. Ive been struggling with closed comedones on the bottom half of my face starting below my cheekbones and ive tried cutting out dairy, gluten, eggs, sugar, etc with not a lot of improvement in the past but im def going to try this again. I am absolutely surface dry since i use prescription retin-a and i think thats the key to the congestion i have. I was actually not using a moisturizer at all for months and my skin got worse. I recently took a break from retina and am starting it again with a lot of moisturizing. Besides exfoliation, what else can i use to combat surface dryness? What type of hydrating serums etc? i do use foaming cleanser and i cant use the rejuvi k cleanser bc it has propylene glycol which im allergic to :( i used to hse avene milk cleanser but it got discontinued.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare

    Found your videos just recently and love them - you are an amazing educator! And love that you can make difference without any electrical equipment (do you use any?). Can i ask a practical question? How do you schedule time for your clients with potential extractions? I struggle with this - they always take longer than planned! You want to get everything out but if you have your next client in an hour how can you spend 2 hours extracting? Thank you

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  4 года назад +1

      Yes, i understand. Its important to be thorough and if i need to spend two hours with a client i tell them they need to ask for this next treatment. Its not fare to keep your next client waiting, and i have fallen into this struggle before trying to do the best in that one treatment, but fall behind a little for my next. just be straight and tell them you can only do your best in the time you have scheduled them:))

    oh interesting about the mineral makeup... I was actually one of many who was reactive to the bismuth oxychloride in bare minerals and didn't know it for an entire year until i researched how it has jagged particles that are known to stick inside pores and cause cystic acne. I think there are some brands that have stopped using B.O. now though, thankfully.

    Hi Nerida, I love your videos and I think you are doing a great job for all of us trying to educate ourselves. Thank you. Just curious - the classic routine after extraction that most of the schools teach is to use some kind of antibiotic and high frequency device( darsonval) to heal the redness and inflammation. I do not see you doing that - so I am wondering do you have a particular logical theory about that or just your practice lead you to that routine. Thanks in advance and thanks for sharing your great work with all of us.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, after extraction I use a professional aha solution to shrink the pores. It kills bacteria also. You should NOT do both together aha and high frequency. You can get a chemical burn. Both are good, but you have to choose which one is best for your treatment. I will mostly use an aha as it offers more. I follow that with a purifying mask which is soothing and calming also:))

Or is it the foaming agent that makes them bad? I use A salicylic acid foaming cleanser and it doesn’t leave me face feeling tight and doesn’t contain sodium laureth sulfate.

He has received about 4 facials, he uses the product regularly (no foaming cleanser) but it continues to worsen. I am considering taking him to a dermatologist, although I know he will be most likely just given pharmaceuticals. I live in Mountain View and would love to find a new aesthetician who has similar belief as you. Do you happen to know anyone in the Bay Area, CA? Don't like suction devices. on young skins it may be ok. But, on a thinner finer skin....suction stretches the skin and causes capillary damage:)

    • @annadevore707
      @annadevore707 5 лет назад +1

      An authentic rose water,that is derived from the fines roses it’s all natural product.It has soothing and refreshing properties,the best in the world come from Iran,Bulgaria and Maroco.
      The market here in the US is full of so called rose water,which is artificially perfumed with rose extracts and other chemicals.
      Those perfumes are definitely not good for the skin therefore it can trigger acne and all kind of irritations.

    How should you treat those pimples that get dry skin on top? I very occasionally get one of those, and just treating it and not extracting leads to pitting. However they take forever to heal even with extraction and treatment.

      hydrate the pimple...don't dry it out. Your healing time will be better and faster:))

    As a recent Esthiology program graduate, we were taught to always do upward and outward manipulations on the face. The reason was so that we didn't contribute to gravity's downward pull on the skin which would add to an aging effect. I noticed that you massage down and inward. Your thoughts please...
