I would like to order more products since the line has over 100 products. Unfortunately there is no training on products or peels other than a manual and a small catalog. No percentages or ingredients listed, very hard to learn the products. I don’t mind traveling as long as I can get the knowledge needed.

    Hi Nerida Joy! I absolutely adore your videos. I was wondering what your advice is for someone who has a lot of surface dryness, but who also gets congestion and oil underneath. What is the best remedy for the dryness and redness? I use Hado Labo HA right now, which has helped. I also switched to a heavy duty moisturizer that keeps it in. The only treatment I’m using is 0.25% tretinoin 2 nights a week, which has helped the congestion, but I think might be too strong.

      In the morning moisturizer. Farsali unicorn tears. And pretty decent face of makeup. Nothing crazy but I do wear plenty.
      I live in Colorado. Very very dry. High altitude
      Any tips?

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 5 лет назад +4

      I know la roche pose has a few cleansers in their line... you say it is non-foaming, so I will take your word for it, is it possible it gives you that tight squeaky clean feeling after cleansing? You say you have blackheads only on your nose and chin... without being able to see you, I’m going to say you are probably a combination dry skin... however, with your blackheads, I am thinking the ponds cream is too nourishing, and clogging your pores. And then you are using tea tree oil and a vitamin C oil... tea tree is a wonderful antiseptic and can be great for a more oily skin, but I would not use a straight oil like that on the skin... I would rather have a product that has tea tree in it-something that is buffered. I think your two oils are too strong and irritating your skin. What purpose are you using them for?? Regarding Farsali, I know nothing about it.
      My recommendations to you are as follows:
      -make sure your cleanser does not give you that right squeaky clean feeling
      -instead of using a heavier cream in your dry climate, layer a serum under a lighter non-comedogenic moisturizer
      -don’t use strong, irritating oils on the skin-in their pure form, straight
      -make sure to exfoliate your skin with a non-granular exfoliant
      -because you are at a higher altitude, SPF is especially a must
      I recommend trying the Rejuvi Plus Cleansing Emulsion for your cleanser. It is a light milky cleanser with a lot of slip and glide, which I think would be great for your skin type, and your current climate. Because of your sensitivity, use the purifying mask as an exfoliant, work it in to the skin, when it starts to dry, add a little bit of water to your finger tips and keep it wet and continue to work it in. You could use that, 2-3 times per week.
      Layer the healing gel then the flavonoid complex under your moisturizer to really help heal your skin and assist with the sensitivity, and then follow with something like the B Lotion or B Moisturizer for sensitive skin, and SPF.
      You can get them from educateyourskin.com
      I hope this helps, please let us know if you have any more questions!

    Thanks so much for this informative video! Do you think it is beneficial to do shoulder massages during facials? I feel as though massaging the face would be more beneficial in a facial vs focusing on the shoulders

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад +3

      I generally do both, but yes, my focus is the face. Sometimes a client has booked a 90 minute facial, but the facial skin is too sensitive to massage for too long, then, i will spend more time on the shoulders.

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 5 лет назад +2

      Kenya Denise I think it is important to do it all... the shoulders and neck area, are connected to the face, especially if you are doing lymphatic drainage or are trying to tone the skin in the face, connecting the different bodies of skin and muscle are very important. At least to me.

I have oily skin (becomes oily within 1 hour of washing my face) but it does seem surface dry/dehydrated.. my pores seem connected by little lines/looks cracked. My skin looks really dull with a layer of oil over dry/textured skin. I used to use strong acne products but have been trying to use gentle cleansers, cerave lotion, oil free moisturizers or products with hyaluronic acid but I feel like nothing has helped? is it the alcohol kind of witch hazel in the herbal mask? and methylparaben... isn`t it a paraben? what is your opinion? :)
    I know you say "its all about the chemestry" but what do you mean? :) I am very interessted in ingredients, and facts. I know not all natural is good for you. And I guess alot we learn through times, is not correct. You have been working with skin for so many years, so I would love it for some more detailed answer, if you will and can :)
    "Methylparaben doesn’t accumulate in the body. In fact, the body flushes the chemical out pretty quickly. Despite this, many consumers are concerned about the safety of methylparaben. These concerns have increased in light of a claimed link to cancer risk.
    The FDA and other researchers are conducting studies to investigate the safety of methylparaben. So far there hasn’t been any conclusive evidence, though there have been cases of individuals who have had negative reactions. While the FDA is reviewing these studies, they haven’t yet come across anything to show that parabens are unsafe for use in cosmetics, foods, or drugs.
    The Environmental Working Group (EWG) lists methylparaben as being a low to moderate health hazard. However, the hazard is only in regards to allergic reactions or product usage exceeding the recommended level. The EWG lists methylparaben’s risk of causing cancer and reproductive toxicity at 0 percent."
