I'm really hoping they make a diorama based on Ben Kenobi and Vader's duel from Episode IV. I'd love to have a diorama for the final duel of each movie of the original trilogy.
It would have been nice to also get hairpieces for Luke and Leia. While not being fully accurate to the scene as they were wearing helmets for most of it, would have been nice for play, and to get an extra copy of Luke’s new hair piece
Even though it is an 18+ diorama set, i do agree with you it would have been nice to have that included, not just for play but also for just making it how you want.

Dang, you got that review out quick! LAN members haven’t even done their review yet… Love your honest reviews! Thanks for being awesome! I don’t think the Leia figure is that bad, however the leg printing on the Luke figure is awful! And thank goodness they used printed pieces for the quote tile…
The set is very disappointing besides the Leia the figs are either inaccurate (Luke) or repetitive like the Scout trooper. The builds are lacking in a lot of departments and the price is just ridiculous. Set is a 7/10 but price makes it a 5/10
For $80 I’d expect at the very least 4 figures. I’m not vibing with this Luke and Leia and felt they need cloth pieces. Where I totally prefer the older Leia figure(you can have cloth or regular plain clothes Leia) I agree $60 is the right price to get this set.
03:05 unfortunately I think they only stuck with printed pieces here because well the “Star Wars TM” tile is an existing piece that’s been in the other Diorama sets. And I’m sure the quote tiles are a lot easier to print than other prints on different pieces. It is just a flat tile after all. And this is waaaay overpriced. This is a $45 set max given the piece count and number of figs.
Wow, I didn't realise that we haven't gotten an Endor Luke since the original LEGO Star Wars release. Those minifigures definitely have room for improvement. Great review!
all of the lego sets post july 2022 are getting discounted far more often, so seeing these high RRP costs isn't much of a turn off for me, just wait a week or two and buy them far cheaper. i bought the Mighty Bowser for £175 2 days after it was released and the price was £225 on lego! madness
Lego pricing has become absurd. This set is priced higher than a brand new AAA video game and even a brand new PS5/Xbox controller. Lego needs new management badly.
Fully agree with you comments on the figs. I’ve been pretty frustrated with the lack of consistency between lego doing dual molded legs and not doing them. Luke in this set particular leaves a lot to be desired
I hate to be a big whiner for Star Wars set but damn the lack of ponchos is a slap in the face with this set. Endor Luke’s first release since the very first wave in 1999 and he has a shockingly inaccurate design. It’s supposed to be his black Jedi outfit with a poncho overtop and helmet, that’s all they had to do. Reuse the ROTJ Luke from the Imperial Shuttle, put the existing Endor helmet on, reuse the poncho piece from Shuttle Tydirium. The prints are okay but it looks incomplete, especially for that price. I suppose it’s easy enough to swap out the arms, legs and keep the waist piece.
I think Lego has seen the sales of there Star Wars sets selling really well over the last few years to the generation x people like my self, we were the first real Star Wars fans, we are not really to worried about how the figures look but just having a set made show casing an iconic scene is awesome, return of the Jedi is my favourite and I think these diorama sets are amazing and really great display pieces. If you are a generation x Star Wars collector and avid original Star Wars fan like my self then the price and how the figures look are no problem, I can see these sets selling well after retirement. That’s my thoughts anyway. You have a great channel.
I really don’t think the minifigures are as bad as you say. You make it seem like they are the worst figures ever, when the are actually not that bad. They represent what they are supposed to and are great figures to add to a collection. I mean these are just as good as most mini figures, and LEGO has never really done extra details for figures in dioramas. I feel like duel molded parts are reserved for only necessary details.
Ah yes, „quick jam their com link, center switch”, such a memorable quote. Really up there with „I am your father” or „do, or do not. There is no try”. Totally worth putting on a display plaque.
To me it would be worth 80$ if it inclouded another speeder bike with scout trooper, pounchou for Luke and Leia, extra hair pieces and dualmolded arms and legs.
I think Leia would have really benefited from having dual molded legs. With Luke I understand that maybe it's hard for Lego to print a light color over black so I would personally think the best option would to mold the base color of the belt the same as the uppbody and mold the legs in black.
I used to live about an hour away from where they filmed the Endor scenes and I actually have to complement the scenery. They got it down really well, and the trees definitely would be way to tall if they actually represented them fully(and then maybe it would have been worth $80)
I have to agree. The lack of dual molded legs in star wars compared to other themes at this point is ridiculous. It’s not like Lego isn’t making some of these color combos already.

Great review I agree with you on everything there. Did you try the alternative display with Luke cutting the front of the speeder bike off with his green lightsaber?
Not being youtuber, I could not put forward my work but I had preceded you when you resumed the diorama of the pursuit of the star of death by assembling several boxes. I used 10 of them. For this set, we would almost have to take 3 but make trees really bigger because this is ridiculous. It looks like twigs.
Thank you for absolutely obliterating this set. It's unacceptable that they would make a 600 piece set with awful minifigures, and poor build quality with stickers. And yet there will be some moofs that purchase this 80 dollar nightmare.
Both Luke & Leia should at least have cloth ponchos - it’s already been done before for Leia in the Shuttle Tydirium set. They could then have their alternate outfits underneath i.e Luke’s outfit was all black and Leias was her Rebel uniform as seen on Home one. Lego need to realise that the more money they charge, the higher levels of quality their customer base will understandably expect…..but Lego are not delivering….
I'd like to point out that you can get Indian Jones "Escape from the Lost Tomb" and "Fighter Plane Chase" both together for less money than this one set! And Indiana Jones is also a licensed theme owned by Disney.
The argument could be made that the camo poncho's were removed so the figures could sit flush with the bike. I have no problem with the removal of the camo poncho piece, but in doing so your right, they definitely should have made dual molded legs/arms.
100% agree that at this point we really should be getting more on our minifigs, it's harder each day for Lego to justify their laziness. That being said, imo Luke and Leia don't look bad, just mediocre which is sad to see. Definitely will wait for a deal on this but for a fair price it's a must for those of us who like Lego for display.
So overpriced my soul hurts. However I do like the dynamic look of the model. I'm definitely tweaking this model after I buy it massively discounted lol.
Okay - after watching your review and only having the Vader meditation chamber in my collection, I am convinced this is the best 18+ lego star wars playset released as of yet! Looking forward to buying this set eventually! (love the minifigures too!)
Idk if I built it wrong or I'm not connecting the speeder bikes right, but mine lean way more than what the box art shows. Yours looks way more right than mine too. Also, if you build it just like the instructions, theres no way you're able to see leia and Luke withouth turning the whole set a lot. Its not straight ahead on the box but they don't have it turned much and yet somehow you can see them in the back perfectly. For the amount of money they charged, it should have been longer to where the tree isn't directly in front of the back speeder bike. If you display it straight on, the tree covers up a lot of the scene. It should have been 4 studs longer to where the tree only blocks the back part of the speeder. And then the price would be more justified.
I really don’t understand how Lego constantly makes sets the NO one can afford! Not all people buying Legos is a collector. They have to understand what is realistic to charge.
I agree with your main critique. I wouldn't mind paying up on a set if they made the figs stand out. Am I wrong that virtually ALL AFOL's for Lego Star Wars really care about the the minifigs? How much more would it have cost them to properly represent Luke and Leia? Real poncho's and proper legs and this would have been 8.5/10 easy for me...
Agreed. It is sad, we were so close to greatness, would have made the price tag justified for collectors. Lego needs to step it up with their star wars figures, especially in "18+ adult" sets.
I'm impressed, most impressed that you are reviewing a set that LEGO has not officially revealed yet. Furthermore, I am SO HAPPY that we finally get a new Endor Poncho Luke, not seen since 1999! Honestly we need the duel on mustafar and the duel of the fates as dioramas
I wonder if it would work to use the hallway from the Dark Trooper set as the Vader/Obi-Wan Duel?
