Hiking Isle of Skye Scotland in 6 days: The Skye Trail | Scotland Travel

Welcome to my latest adventure! Join me as I take on the breathtaking Skye Trail, a 6-day hike through the stunning landscapes of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. From rugged coastlines and towering mountains to serene lochs and ancient castles, this trail offers a little bit of everything for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.

I have moved over to the iPhone for most of the ground footage - it actually takes amazing videos and my phone is always close by. Soon I will upgrade to iPhone 15 or 16 when it comes out mostly because of the stabilisation features and quality upgrades.

I absolutely love this drone - its small, compact and provides amazing footage.
* GoPro - amzn.to/3W88ok9
I still use the GoPro for the ‘on the go’ shots. It has great stablization, battery life and quality.

🗓️ Day-by-Day Breakdown:
Day 1: Setting off from Rubha Hunish, the northernmost tip of Skye, with panoramic views of the Outer Hebrides.
Day 2: Traversing the Trotternish Ridge, navigating past the iconic Old Man of Storr. Also explore the Quiraing, with its otherworldly rock formations and sweeping vistas.
Day 3: Passing through the charming town of Portree.
Day 4+5: Heading towards Sligachan and Elgol. Getting stuck in a storm.
Day 6: Concluding the journey at Broadford, reflecting on an unforgettable experience.
