A year later and I'm still upset that Room didn't even receive a nomination for cinematography. It made Room feel so big. Just like Jack saw it as his entire world, so did the viewers.

I’m glad you said this because
      *SPOILERS*
I watched the last scene when they went back to the room, I thought... what... no way? It was THAT small? It seemed bigger in the first scenes and I had to go back to look at those scenes!!

it just dawned on me how unique it is, that they made a movie about the theme of obduction, but didn't focus on the relationship between the obducter and the obducted... the "man" is really the smallest part of this movie. There are so many movies out there that focus on men being the bad guys and women being the victims. But this one actually showed the strength, heroism and bravery of a woman expressed within this small spectrum.

I was raped and got pregnant at such a young age and being someone who barely started living her life, I was stuck in my home. There was so much raw emotion seeing how trapped and lifeless she felt but not because of her baby, but the circumstances that kept her there. I can't even explain how deep this movie hit me.

I came from being sheltered so much. My parents don’t want me and my sister to get hurt my dad was afraid of us getting hurt my mom took her relationship with her mom out on me and my sister. My mom depended on her mom tremendously. So she did the same thing to us. I was severely shy too growing up. In high school I was shyer then hell kept to myself. Scared and my anxiety was bad. I would walk behind my sister in the hallways b4 our next class started. To look back now at my life if u were to look at me now u wouldn’t be able to tell but, I am still quite. This movie also hit close to home for me. In the vulnerable sense. In a big world where ur the fish in a big one ur expected to be a certain way and coming from how I grew up it’s different. Brie deserved the Oscar! After all she has been through, she does not deserve the hate. She may still be going through tough times and people don't seem to take the hint that if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all. I'm also so proud of her for getting the role of Carol (Captain Marvel) in Avengers, she deserves it so much!

Brie Larson really came to Hollywood with practically nothing at a young age, but now, as captain Marvel in her solo movie and endgame, she got money! 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💪💪💪💪.
She really gave it her all in this performance. I totally need to see this movie.

am I the only one who went the entire movie thinking Jack was really as girl. I thought Brie’s character called him a boy so that she wouldn’t be sexually abused as well. But come to find out Jack is really a boy in the movie and in real life. He looks like a little girl the entire movie. And I’m still not sure if Jack is supposed to be a girl or a boy in the movie even though they say he. I’m super confused about this can someone explain it to me.

I’ve read the book and joy got pregnant the first time and had a little girl, but “old Nick” left her alone to give birth and the baby girl died, she then got pregnant again and had a boy, jack
      He is 100% a boy
      Hope this helped 😁

It's so weird because about a year ago my school had a Free Book Day where we could take as many books we wanted home, first come, first serve (obviously from a limited amount) and I picked up about 8 books I liked, one of them being Room. I didn't realise until now that they made a movie out of it, which I now want to watch but that Brie Larson is starring in it and I know her as Captain Marvel. Such a small world, the book was written so well and I can't wait to watch the movie.
