@COVID-19 PANDEMIC She's excused because she's an introvert who was uncomfortable and stressed in that one interview that made everybody hate her. You can't seriously tell me that you've never said anything wrong under stress? Also, introverts tend to try too hard to get people to like them as well, so when she was trying *not* to sound racist and sexist, but she ended up sounding like it anyway.
The minute she said 'introvert' i kinda understood why she may come off badly to others. Celebs are expected to be talkative and entertaining during press tours and we often forget their main work is acting. Personally, many times I've said things that come off the wrong way because I'm used to carefully crafting my words before saying them, add to that, my sarcastic sense of humor certainly doesn't help. Can't speak for Brie but I think people should give her a break.

When i watched her wired interview i wasnt really fond of her. then after checking her other interviews i understand why she seems unlikable at times. Introverts mainly people with anxiety take everything around them seriously. Most of us arent good at small talks so when an unrevised, sudden situation comes up, we take a fight or flight response. I havent watched any marvel movies so i am not a fan of brie but i feel sorry for this girl. In a world full of extroverts i hope we introverts find peace.
she has made her mark on so many good movies before the role of Captain Marvel. You can check her performance in Short-term 12 or Room. Those two I think are heavy in emotions and fit Brie as an actress really well. Captain Marvel is a role that's beyond her comfort zone and she did a good job. Just hope people ease with the hate they have on her.

Just watched her Wired Interview after this, and I didn’t think it was too bad. It seemed like her jokes and sarcasm just gave the wrong impression. She definitely seems more relaxed here though, but I mean, who wouldn’t be with puppies running around.

Whether you like Brie or not, there is no denying that she received definite hate by a lot of people. But the thing is. Ignore the haters, you get called out for that. And when it all gets too much, and you really just need to get it to people straight that you do not condone all this hate. You also get called out for it.
So like you said, I’m not surprised if she is way too defensive and is portrayed in the way we see her to be. Of course, being introvert/extrovert doesn’t excuse you from acting like a jerk. But I wouldn’t be surprised.

For me, the way she expresses herself wasnt really an issue until someone starts bitching about it. But as shes said she is an introvert. And even if she isnt, surely she knows how to turn the hates around and im sure she never (in her respectable, witted mind) meant to come off as "rude" or "arrogant". I'm an introvert and i sometimes make jokes which i thought were very funny and innocent but realised how bland they were when no one gets them. Also, when you feel like too many people are hating on you, there is no way that you'll find it easy not to take some further comments personally. It is a mental hurdle should i say. But i think we all have done something with the best intention but not everyone *receives* it that kind of way. I guess whats important is she knows herself very well and she doesnt need to prove that to anyone. I actually see her as a lovely, kind-hearted person! She is also very talented and funny.

Honestly the reason I started liking her is because I started picking out similarities in our personalities and how we talked and it’s something stupid to like her for I guess but I just began really enjoying videos with her in them. I might be able to come to a compromise that she's well intentioned if it wasn't for that bit about the Wrinkle in Time movie. If you just flip the names around you can see why that shouldn't really be okay. Imagine if a white guy said "I don't care what a thirty year old mexican woman has to say about the Transformers movie. It wasn't made for her." There is no interpretation of that sentence that doesn't come across as deliberately exclusionary. The fact she claims to support "inclusion" just makes me think that she doesn't even know what she's saying.
She obviously likes dogs...I rarely known someone who likes dogs/animals who is not a good person. She gave them all attention...she noticed any not near to her and she pulled them closer. It was an instinctive act of caring...bad people are mainly bad because they are selfish and self obsessed..they lack any empathy. I saw enough in that short clip to see Brie Larson is kind of heart and a caring empathetic person. Anyone who hates on her is in truth showing more what kind of person they themselves are than saying anything meaningful about a person they know nothing about.
