- This week I cut the memory foam mattress down to size for the Ford Transit campervan conversion bed. 🚐
I also got my friend Matt to check under the bonnet for me, before heading to Lauren’s Nan’s in the stealth camper to borrow her carvery knife!

Highlight for me was seeing Lauren and her smile, lol , best wishes to you both great vlogs and van starting to look great.
Lauren is a very happy young Lady, when someone smiles you cant help but smile back and we all certainly need many smiles at the present time,.

Haha we all have our different skill sets. I've just happened to add cutting a mattress to mine!
So good to see the lovely Lauren back again with her awesome smile. It's always an absolute joy seeing you two together. That mattress certainly passed the Lauren test, I think she could have stayed there. If you weren't travelling I can't help but think that you two would love a little dog of your own. Haha absolutely not, never going hungry when Lauren (and especially her Nan) is around. Yes we always mention about a dog but unfortunately just not the right time in our lives at the minute. Can certainly envision us trooping around in our camper with a little pup in the middle though!
And back by popular demand its Lauren yesssss. Your dad leaving you unsupervised shows how much your DIY skills have come on. If you can give Lauren the option of driving the campervan you should do so, there may be times you don't feel like driving yourself. Hope you don't mind that bit of advice. All the best, Becky xx

You can use the leftover memory foam to make pillows, That is what the manufacturers do.

That's fab! It's exactly how I intend to do our bed (next spring when we start out build), but I will use the extra foam on the seats.
Great tip with the electric knife, I think my mum still has one, so I know where I'll be going to cut the mattress!

It,s a band and singer a band I stumbled on at the beginning of the shut down.Her name is Tatania Eva Marie,she's Swiss but sings mainly in French but a lot in English too her band is the Avalon Jazz Band. The band is loosely based on the style of Django Reinhardt & Stéphane Grappelli from the 1930's. She reminds me alot of Edie Piaf and Mirreile Mathieu. but softer .To me she is totally enchanting and very talented and surrounds herself with some very talented musicians.Here is a couple of Utube urls I'd love to hear your opinion .

If I can make a suggestion, make a lightweight shelf under the bed at the back to store the extra mattress. Keeps it out of the way.

If it is not too late, don't toss the foam scraps. Except the little 7mm slices. It is costly and the scraps are exactly the right size, together, for a young child who might have the lower bench seats with a padded cushion on ply making them their own bed. And when the younger one is not in need of a smaller individual bed? It will make a great back cushion at wall of the bed.
Ummm... The king size bed? Ummm..... It's a Queen now. You took the knife to it, remember?
