I would have never guessed that cinnamon was in the classic style. Very interesting. Thank you for these recipes.

Hi Tamara! When I was researching the classic bar pickle recipes, there were so many different variations to choose from. I asked my son which spices he thought he might like, and then I made a version of the recipe each with and without the cinnamon. Our family unanimously preferred with the cinnamon. I hope that you will like it too. Let me know your thoughts if you choose to make it. Cheers!

I do love mixed veggies, asparagus & green beans pickled so why not eggs?!?
Thank You for the different brine recipes.
My Mom used to call her pickled green beans dilly beans; I assume the brine was similar to Your garlic dill brine...??
Good stuff! Can't eat too many eggs.
Though peeling them is one of my least favorite kitchen tasks.
Thank You dear Angela. Good to 'see' You ☺️
Hope what You have been working on is nearing completion & You are very satisfied with Your work!
Sending sunny wishes to You & Yours!

Hi Becky! I, too, like pickled veggies as a condiment - thank you for the suggestion. Glad you like the egg peeling suggestion.
We got word that the cookbook proof might not be ready until Christmas, so publishing thereafter. Very sad about that, so my target date of publishing mid-November was too optimistic. I want the cookbook to be right, and a good quality, since I worked on it for two years.
I hope that you're having a wonderful day, Becky!

Hi T V... So glad to hear that you are a breast cancer survivor. Many blessings for a future of good health and staying cancer-free!
I read several articles on using keto as part of an aggressive standard of care for certain types of cancer, and as a post-cancer lifestyle. The data were very impressive and encouraging. I concur with your doctor that staying off all forms of sugar (especially fructose) is an important aspect of preventative care. As I'm sure you know, cancer cells thrive in a carb-rich and sugar environment and some atrophy in a ketone environment. Please feel free to reach out and chat on any topic, including your specific diet requirements - I would love to help if I can.

Interesting the one with the cinnamon. I also use the trick of the spoon to peel the eggs

Hi Esther! I agree. The cinnamon was in interesting ingredient to use in the recipe. I did one with, and one without, of that same recipe, and we all thought that the "with cinnamon" tasted better, so that is the one that I decided would be best to feature.
When my youngest son showed me that trick, I was really pleased, because it was easier, faster, and better results. He saw a roommate from uni do that, and shared it with me.
Have a happy and healthy day, Esther!

Thank you for another delicious recipe, I have never tried pickled eggs but would love to try them one day soon. My husband also taught me to peel the eggs using a spoon, although sadly I am more used to my way of peeling eggs and somehow peel faster without a spoon 😅😂

Hi Tra! Pickled eggs are quite interesting. They are a good snack if you don't like plain hard boiled eggs, and you don't want the extra work to make deviled eggs. The taste is a little bit acidic, but goes well with the milder taste of the yolks.
As for peeling the eggs, it took me a while to become proficient with the spoon method, but now I like it a lot. Suggestion :-) : Have your husband use the spoon method to peel the eggs - that would make it even easier!
