As per ChrisFEjackson, you absolutely DO NOT need to take off the mirrors for anyone watching this. The tool is for taking off the mirror caps (they are snap on, snap off). Do not risk taking out the mirror glass. I fitted the exact same sweeping indicators in about 2 minutes per side. Still, not a criticism-great content! Also, I think I saw your car on auto trader or was I going mad?
Thanks for the comment and info. I chose to remove the glass, so I could depress the tabs on the mirror covers and reduce the risk of breaking them. It’s a good conversational point, as; have I added risk to the mirror glass instead, and which is more costly to replace? I haven’t got the car up for sale, so perhaps another that looks similar? I know there’s another out there with the bronze on it :) Thanks for dropping a comment!
I did mine a while ago, but I didn't remove the mirror glass, my car is all black and the edging on the new indicators matched them to the car perfectly. The main reason why I changed them is that in the daylight, the originals are hardly noticeable. What were Jag thinking of? These after market indicators are so much better and a no brainer & easy upgrade for sure. I kept the originals safe too just in case the longer term integrity of the after market ones became an issue. I have my MOT end of Feb so we'll see if that springs any surprises, but I doubt it.
To be fair, I didn’t even try it without removing the glass. I was trying to preserve the tabs on the mirror cap. It sounds like I could have saved myself some time and effort! I totally agree with the aftermarket ones being a better suit, and as you have done, I’ve kept the originals just in case. Thanks for another great comment!
Cheers, useful clip! It took me only a few minutes per side. I didnt take out the glass, the cover is a doddle to get off with the trim tool, I popped it by levering at the bottom (above the indicator) then ran the tool along the gap that made at the top and the cover came straight off. The only nuisance in the process is that the allen key is sharp and digs into your hand when you are getting the screws out, but that is like 10 seconds of nuisance. It works well on my car (Italian racing/Firenze red) as the colour blends with the bottom part of the indicator housing. All up a nice, cheap mod that I will never see from the inside of my car.
You don’t need to remove the mirror glass , the cover will come off with the pry tool or even just squeezing it from the back. Check with a code reader once you’ve fitted them to make sure you don’t have an error code for “lost contact with left / right indicator”
Thanks! It’s an Avery vinyl. I love it because it has air release technology. You don’t need to worry about bubbles as you can work them out through the vinyl. The colour code is BJ0860001 (Light Brown, Satin)

Hi Bro I have v6 3.0 RWD 2015 Me to I will change it it looks good. As you said you don't have blind spot too do you know how we can add_? I I learn I will inform you.
Hi mate. I’ll be fitting a set of these indicators shortly also. But I have a question about the vinyl for your mirror caps. Mine have previously been painted Black, so I’m looking to wrap them to cover up the Orange colour underneath that’s now showing from stone chips. Do you know roughly what size of vinyl is needed per mirror cap? I’m currently working away overseas, but would like to order and have something waiting for when I get home. Thought it’d be a good time to wrap them whilst fitting the indicators. Thanks for posting your vids!
Sorry for the slow reply Mac. I can’t accurately recall the exact size needed, and I’d hate to send you off with wrong information. I imagine You’d be fine with 50x30cm for each cap, but please don’t quote me on that!
This is all wrong, do not remove the glass. The colour coded abs backs can be removed with a little effort using a plastic trim tool. My leds lights came with the tool for doing so in the box. Whole job takes lass than 10 minutes.
Thanks for another good comment with feedback and tips. I chose to remove the glass to try and save the plastic tabs on the cap (you can depress them from behind the glass). There’s a good conversation to have about where you’re moving risk and is a new cap cheaper than the glass? Thanks for watching and another good comment 💪🏼

Just done mine, way easier going through the back but, thanks for vid!
Glad you found it easy. Yeah, a lot of people are telling me the same, haha! A really neat upgrade, for not a lot of ££
@MrGB subtle but more importantly easy! ... you off to jag breakfast at Gaydon?
@@7Ps1969 For the 10th anniversary? I certainly am. Come say Hi if you are also 👍🏻👋🏼
@@MrGB_UK yes I'm going , I'll look you up.

Great feedback, thanks for commenting. I agree about not seeing it from the inside, lol! It's good when locking/unlocking though...

Great work. I really like the color of your mirror caps. Do you happen to know the brand/color code you used to wrap them?
Thanks!

Yes sure looks much better, especially since they are much darker. 20,- sure makes it worth a try.
Can you share the links for the F-Pace sequential indicators you mentioned in your video. Would love those on my F-Pace SVR
nice quick up grade

Can you share the exact listing you bought them from, if you don’t mind ofc
Same question as you
No need to re move the mirrors, you doing more work ?
Yeah, that's entirely correct. I've since found this out. Thanks for the feedback 👍🏼
Absolutely no need to remove the mirror
You're absolutely correct. Iw as trying to preserve the mirror cap, but I've now learned it was not required! Thanks for watching and commenting
