if you look back at the timelines, Joplin's hit music first happened in 1968, the band Fanny hit in 1970, and both Heart and the Runaways became popular in 1976. But good for Lita and Cherie. They look like they're having a blast and if I have the opportunity, I'll certainly go see them.
I love these guys so much! I also love that Cherie is now a professional chainsaw artist (she was on an episode of the Kardashians) and Lita is still performing. 💗🖒
Very cool. Remembering The Runaways was one of the first rock albums I bought as a kid, years later saw GnR perform in LA before they were famous, then a few years later played with my all female metal band at The Whisky.

impossible for people to judge the mix sound of a posted video like this: it was a LIVE performance, and unless you were standing right there listening to it, you don't really know how it sounded, especially in a downloaded you tube video. Leave it to say, that song has a lot of energy, always has, and the musicians are always having fun playing it.

Most women in their mid fifties back in the 1940's, 50's, and even the 1960's looked like Aunt Bee, and Edith Bunker. Damn these girls look better than ever, and sound great too. Actually Joan and Lita had dinner in New York a couple of years back and Joan passed on contact info between Cherie and Lita which is how they reunited. Not as acrimonious as people want to make it out to be. I think there will be a reunion down the road at some point !

I had been given a Creem magazine by my then 'girlfriend' because I was really into funk at the time and there was an article on Bootsy's Rubber Band. I remember a review of whatever Runaways record that had just come out and it started "These bitches suck...." Don't remember the rest of the review said, but that stuck in my mind. I don't think any magazine would print any such thing now. In the same magazine there was a photo of Tom Petty, saying he played punk rock. Wow! Wish I'd saved that magazine.
No idea why they got the name wrong, but tat's Lita Ford playing lead guitar. She still plays that guitar too. She was jamming on the explorer before Hetfield thought about it.
Nice to see Cherie is doing well. I know she struggled with addiction in the past, but she's obviously gotten her life straightened out. I know Lita also had problems with her personal life after getting married then divorced from Jim Gillette. Both seem to be in good form.

Slash has 2 volume controls on his lespaul. Players adjust the sound all the time.
Turning down volume on the guitar itself affects the tone a lot, the amp was too loud. there's a reason Van Halen put a tone knob on his volume pot.
Slash ruined the solo and kept playing wrong chords... something so easy.... what a tool!
