Thank you very much Mike for the excellent explanation. If I am replacing a central radiator (and during the replacement a little fluid comes out) can I add fluid directly to the filler tank without using a vacuum? Do I need to release the pressure valve when adding any spilled fluid?
If you are opening the system and doing something like a radiator, the best thing for you is to drain the system as much as possible prior to doing so. You will be introducing a large volume of air into the system with the new radiator, and the best and only way to bleed it out on this car would be to have it empty so you can vacuum-fill it!
HI Mike! Great video! I will attempt this coolant flush next. Have you done a video on changing the signal/cruise control/high beam/onboard computer stalk assembly ? I'll need to o this soon. It looks easy enough, but I am sure there will be some tricks to doing this procedure. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. Keep up the great videos!🙂
Hi Antony, thank you so much for watching! That is not a video we have done yet. The most important thing would be disconnecting the battery before attempting to remove the steering wheel. From there, I would imagine the assembly unplugs similar to how they do on the 996 models.
@@fcpeuro@fcpeuro how many liters of coolant should go in?? Book says 32 liters. Somebody says 22-25. Im confused. 4 gallons as you ve mentioned is even less😮
The 987.1 Cayman S owner manual says that the system has 5.8 gallons of coolant. In addition to draining the coolant from the coolant return hose as shown in this video, I even drained the coolant from the thermostat hose, the water pump hose, and the heater core coolant hose. And I was able to drain only about 1.75 gallons from the system. I wish this video talked about the max amount of coolant one can expect to drain from the system; I am assuming not all the coolant can be drained off the system.
I changed water pump in Porsche 911.Then put back coolant with vaccum tool. But problem car overheating still now. I use bleeder valve also. But still same head ache. What will do please any suggestions
‘my good people’ -> you are a true legend buddy
Don’t listen to the haters; “My good people” is authentic to the presenter. Let him be himself!
Welcome officially to the "My good people" club!
You can also use Valvoline ZEREX G-40 Coolant which is the same stuff Porsche uses. BASF came out with GLYSANTIN G-40 which is what Porsche uses.
잘보고갑니다 늘 좋은정보 감사합니다 코로나 조심하고 행복하게 가득가득

How similar is the job on a 957 Cayenne? Is there a video?
Radiators were emptied that easily?

Is there any difference with a 2008 997 Turbo?
Hi Wally, the general idea for the turbo will be similar!

thermostat?
Does your procedure drain the heater core?
Wondering this as well.
Does anyone have Part # for drain plug crush washer?
It was recommended to change each time coolant drained.
