My Wife Reacts To Kanye West - Yeezus

- for this reaction i got molly to listen to yeezus. she has enjoyed some of his previous work but hasn't heard an entire album from him. i thought i'd get her to listen to this since it is one of his most divisive projects and features production not too dissimilar to some electronic music that molly listens to. enjoy and thanks for watching!

he has some of the funniest lyrics in some of the most emotional songs you’ll ever hear

This is still to date, my all time favorite Kanye album. What's more impressive is that I was hooked off of my first listen to this album. In retrospect, I never noticed just how hilarious some of these bars were. Loved your wife's reaction and her opinions on each track.
Same here, I immediately loved it and considered it my favorite album of his and I was already a big Kanye fan.
Imo, this is his only album that doesn't have a miss
@@biggboi1025Mbdtf???
Lol I hated it on first listen in 2013 but now it's a masterpiece for me lol
i feel like this album is the most kanye of all kanye albums.
Hold my liquor, she nailed it. That song in the car at night puts me in an absolute trance.
this is a very difficult, if not the most difficult, Kanye album to enjoy off the first rip. it took me a podcast breakdown to understand the work and now I think it's one of his best
great channel, dude. I'm looking out for those specific album reviews :D
for sure! just exposing molly to stuff she otherwise wouldn't check out on her own. thank you for watching bro!
What was the podcast that made you like it?
@@AlteredVisionedI bet it was the now defunct Watching The Throne lol
@@AlteredVisioned it would've either been Watching The Throne (now defunct), or Dissect
Took me three years to enjoy 😂
Brooooo when she mentionned Alors on dance's remix by Kanye she unlocked a memory i had with that track and i went back and added it to my spotify songs...
haha amazing!
Just a note on the lyrics, it’s supposed to be very braggadocious and over the top, it's on purpose. Back then, Kanye albums were very thematic with of course the sound but also the lyrics. He’s almost playing a character here who protects himself with overconfidence but deep down is very flawed and insecure. The deepness that you were looking for from a lyrical perspective is there but more thematic. More on exploring arching themes than individual bars. There is a lot here about obviously consumerism but much more. There is a self-awareness of the duality of wanting change and commenting on social issues but also falling victim to it himself.
Also wanted to say cool Video! I forgot to mention that.
hey man! appreciate your insight. i personally didnt think the lyrics had to be deep at all. just felt a disconnect between the humorous lyrics and his profound tone on one or two tracks but overall its a minor gripe. after repeated listens it doesnt really affect the experience as much. thanks for checking us out 🙌🏼
Dope reaction. You guys give off a very relaxing vibe, even for a Yeezus reaction😂
The "Im in it" reaction was hilarious 😂
which song
@@jimmyyoo7076 they literally said the name of the song
best yeezus reaction yet! you too have great chemistry and opinions, you guys make it sound like i'm listening for the first time again, keep it up.
I personally love the contrast from the lyrics and the instrumentals and feel it further feeds into the god complex on yeezus. I see the lyrics as more of a backdrop to the cinematic experience of the album. They’re there to highlight the instrumentals and give just enough light to his enigmatic vision that if you dig a little deeper it grants you a more rewarding listening experience. I also love how visceral the lyrics are as you don’t hear Yeezus you feel it. It’s definitely more of an emotional and spiritual album to me than intellectual but that’s not to say it doesn’t also make smart observations and commentaries as well.
The guitar solo in hold my liquor is just the best.
This was a lit album reaction and breakdown. You guys are a beautiful couple btw! Happy for y’all.🥹😇
I have been loving these videos, can't wait for future uploads!
I love this video! Love your knowledge and enthusiasm on this album, it’s one of my favorites of all time. Also love your wife’s love for Aphex Twin. Keep it up!
im actually so suprised this channel doesnt have more views, this is one of the better reaction channels i have seen
I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS GODDESS...
same
On sight is probably the greatest intro to any album ever
I generally hate reaction videos but I stumbled on your channel and absolutely love that someone appreciates kanye the same way I do and that I can watch someone experience kanye tracks for the first time.
I’d pay a million dollars to see a video of myself listening to this album for the first time.
On Sight has all that industrial sound then a heavenly soulful part towards the end. That's a foreshadowing to the overall album that is, all the 9 songs with industrial sounds followed by a heavenly soulful Bound 2. Details like these blow my mind.
Why?that’s a pretty straight forward layout
Goals for sure. Beautiful video, beautiful chemistry. Bblessings from Venezuela bro love this!!
thank you bro! 🙏🏼
Trying to listen to this from the perspective of someone who’s never heard it before was awesome. The whole album is lyrically hilarious and way over the top sexual.
listening to yeezus for the first time was insane i loved it
The demo for yeezus just leaked, it felt like listening to it for the time and The Weeknd was suppose to be on it
It was an amazing experience for me I was so high it was beautiful
Post more frequently !!!! Love the videos you two are amazing
cool part about this is you just enough to let her know the backstory / give your opinion but not enough to be a kanye expert so you let her reach her own conclusions and enjoy it in a different way. beautiful album and review
Dude I love this it’s is so sick.. almost gives me the feeling of listening to Yeezus for the first time
Fun to watch you two. Haven't heard this album in awhile, but I think it's aging really well imo. I may need to rearrange the order of my favorite Kanye albums.
This has the potential to be my new favorite reaction channel. Just keep the fire videos coming
Omg I never seen a “wife reacts” channel this is fire wtf do more of these consistently y’all will have 50k by the end of the yr fr
This is honestly on my fav Albums ever and your reactions are cool and i learnt stuff about the songs :).
This album is like a cinematic film in a lot of ways. As for the screams in “I am a god,” i always visioned him running through the woods, in an out of mind psychotic break. That to me, makes it very powerful.
loved the vid, would love to see you guys react to more of kanyes albums
here before u blow up, really enjoyed the knowledge and context u gave, i even learned some stuff
dude, keep doing a kanye marathon and then branch out to other album reactions and this channel will blow up lmaoo
I love Ye so much man. Ye is the funniest dude, has funny lines, inspirational lines; and saddest lines ever.
As you may be able to tell this is my favourite album ever.
Bapatron
You might as well do his whole discography. Best in hip hop!
yooo great video, can’t believe you guys have less than 500 subs right now. Maybe the algorithm bless you
Ayy such high quality editing, video etc!
More Yeezy reactions and Frank Ocean would be dope.
yes definitely more kanye later on! shes already a big frank ocean fan but we have something planned about him in due time
@@f11.studioslate registration and graduation would be fire reactions from Ye. Or the life of Pablo if you want his newer sound

Aaye. More Kanye reactoins please. His discography is insane.

16:48 driving at night vibe is what ive always thought too such an amazing song. My favourite from the album!

Came across you guys on the algorithm. Thanks for the vid! Seem like a cool channel and couple! Bro play her graduation tho! Lol
Hope you blow up bro. Loved the vid 🙏
Subscribed and instant fan of you guys, love your output on both Kanye Albums, and Molly she’s a great listener and has a good ear for music. Please react to some Mac Miller & Nas. Big Up yourselves! 🙌🏽
Very dope album, I love this entire era of Kanye and the raw aesthetic.
keep it up! you both are looking so cool!
Now you just pull me into kanye rabbit hole.
I will see your all kanye reaction.
Thanks for spreading Ye album to non fans, lot of people judge him without even knowing his music etc.
All based on media report, without even given him chance.
Ye2024
really nice video, i enjoyed it
I am in it always makes my laugh as well.
Blood on leaves is my personal favourite on here
Yes to blood on the leaves. Also my fav. Then on sight maybe. It gets muddled for me cause I always listen to the whole thing.
Her comment on hold my liquor about "driving at night vibe" I always love when Ye throws in those Miami night drives/synth wave sounds in his music
you should start her from the beginning, with TCD, and have her listen to his whole discography. It's defiantly the way to get into kanye and the beginning of his career really helps understand the later parts of his discography
I love yalls dynamic
nice reaction guys
yall are so cute together!
Great Video! Subscribed.
Keep the kanye reactions coming. TLOP next
good reaction. Got my sub
Nice reaction, greetings from Chile. New sub!
amazing! thank you 🙌🏼
Yeezus was my favorite album the day it came out. Still holds up.
The sample in the first song saying "this is what you need, it might not be what you want" is kanye saying that this album is needed by his fans/ everyone else and its not what they "want" because this is coming right after MBDTF and the themes and overall story of the album is tied into all the songs is very well done
I thought it was "He'll give us what we need/ It may not be what we want"
You two are adorable 👑
I‘m really waiting for ya „Life of Pablo“ & „Late Registration“ listening 🤩
tnght so underrated i feel they pretty much birthed the EDM trap movement and barely get any recognition. their original ep was really ahead of its time
Great reaction! Took the album for what it is and didn’t go for the cheap, easy dismissive type criticism.
More Ye pleeaasseeee 😊
Bro her saying that new slaves have a similar beat to alor on dance is crazy cuz she’s so right and he actually has a remix on that song too
That last bit in new slaves is so beautiful
this is one of my favourite albums OAT. great reaction, you should do Some Rap Songs by Earl
Kanye said "damn your lips very soft" and she licked her lips at 17:49 looool
Even after all these years, this album aged extremely well. I'd say it aged the best out of all his albums. It's definitely my favorite of his. Also one of the most underrated concept albums of all time.
That painting behind y’all fucks with me. I can’t stop focusing on the triangle. Is that the point of that? My perspective shifts so often, just seeing the triangle on its side.
Hope you hit 1k subs soon I see the potential
much appreciated 🙌🏼
Amazing reaction
imo would be a great idea make every ye albums in order, would be an amazing reaction the evolution, not of the singer, of HIM, Kanye. And other rap albums, great video!!
You guys got something good going with these reviews. Keep going.
I think this is peak Kanye. The last album where he was truly innovative.
A1 production. Minimalistic, direct. Chief Keef sounded like a drill god. The end of Guilt Trip is ridiculously beautiful. Still gave us a classic sample with Bound.
PS, Can we get a Griselda review?
KSG and Donda are innovative

“Driving at night vibe” for hold my liquor is so true
YOU HAVE TO take her through the Kanye west journey . MY BEAUTIFUL DARK TWISTED FANTASY then graduation then 808s etc
This was the first album I bought. I liked it from the beginning but definitely enjoyed it more with more listens.
You should react to older albums that paved the way for hip hop, like The low en theory - ATCQ , Illmatic , me against the world, the chronic, etc , would be easier for her to understand the genre.
This yeezus is one of those albums you have to understand
react to more albums with your wife
great reactions
Is it just me, or is the way she stares at him while he's talking the sweetest thing ever? You can definitely see the love in her eyes
This was an enjoyable reaction lmao
You know you need to do the rest of his discography now right? We need it
my favorite ye album but damn yeezus is really a damn insane and weird first album listen to his discography like yeezus really grow on me after multiple listens to be my favorite 😂😂
Hold My Liquor always makes me think of a guy driving across the Las Vegas desert in a black mid-70s convertible at dusk.
I’ve never even been west of the Mississippi but that’s what it makes me think of. 🤷🏼♂️
Actually I went to the Grand Canyon when I was 12 with my family and swam in the Colorado River and almost died. I literally haven’t thought about that in decades.
Maybe I didn’t actually almost die. Maybe I was just a dumb little kid and thought I was in a worse situation than I actually was in. 🤷🏼♂️
I’m old and injest thc daily for the last 30 years. I shrug a lot irl too 🤷🏼♂️
The lamp you are talking about in the beginning is Lecorbusier's "Borne Béton" lamp
Love the channel! I can't recommend "To Pimp A Butterfly" by Kendrick Lamar enough!
808s & Heartbreak next please!
This was an amazing video, very interesting to see the perspective of people listening to this for the first time. Do more Kanye or more popular hip-hop releases in general! Maybe new JPEGMAFIA x Danny Brown album as well
