If this album dropped today it would do numbers like crazy, it was way too ahead of it’s time
It still did crazy numbers back then also 💀
@@JePaKy66yea idk what bro is talking about
Travis just tried that
@@Dieorgetbusy 2 completely different albums there's like 2 songs with heavy yeezus influence.
He's just young give him a break. Kanye brings entire generations together like that @@JePaKy66
The 2013 Breakfast Club interview really explained his thought process in making this album. He said if he cared about pleasing the crowd he would have kicked it off with Blood On The Leaves but he wanted you to feel his pain and anger with On Sight. Then he intentionally put Bound 2 at the end to let everyone know it was ‘all good’ (likely meaning he can still make the type of music that sounds like ‘Old Kanye’) Forever the GOAT
The way he still meticulously places incredibly soulful moments throughout the record is honestly masterful.
The “I’ll give you what you need, it may not be what you want” sample in On Sight, Frank Ocean on new slaves, the I am a god outro beat feel so euphoric and harmonious in the first part of the record because they float in a sea of more dissonant and cold, industrial sounds.
@@Nick-ht5yiwell said!
@@Nick-ht5yi amazing analysis
On Sight itself perfectly represented this in my opinion. That whole “give us what we need, it may not be what we want” sample break in the song makes perfect sense now.
It’s impressive how your father picked up on a lot of key aspects on just the first listen
took me like 4listens 💀
His daddy, from what I have gathered from the 5 or 6 reactions I have watched, is a pretty sharp, well traveled man.
@@hlg3501 "daddy" is fucking insane
@@maxgeorge1463 What?
@@hlg3501 I feel like I did not state anything that required resounding intellect to comprehend. Me personally, Im not letting some bitch call my parent "daddy"
This is the best reaction to YEEZUS on RUclips. Your dad perfectly analyses each track. That too when he is blown away. Not many people can describe when they're left speechless. 👍

FACTS
I DIDNT EVEN CATCH THE " AA ADMITTING IS THE FIRST STEP" lol
Not gonna lie after editing the video, I just noticed that too from my dad. Insane
Bro your dad is low-key the goat for catching that 1st listen
Insane catch, ive heard this so many times and never noticed
Yeezus era was SO special. Maybe for me personally but, mannnn… what a time to be alive
If you read these comments, bro.. it’s funny I watched this.. I took my mom to the Yeezus tour after I broke up with my ex…. Parents x Yeezus W
Kanye heals
I remember every second of it
TLOP and Yeezus are always battling for my favorite Kanye album spot. This album is absolutely crazy and I truly think Kanye was at his creative peak with this one!
What puts TLOP so high for you? I like it too just curious
@@Nick-ht5yiFor me personally its his subtle way of showing parts of his mind throughout the album, it’s a very deep album although he is not saying as much as he is saying on mbdtf or tcd. Well that puts it over the edge, there’s of course amazing production, bangers on top of bangers. Also he managed to connect all those songs even tho songs vary a lot from each other, his best conceptual album imo
@@Nick-ht5yi Its a super creative and diverse collection of songs. It really shows who Kanye was at the time of the release. There is a sort of braggadocio on some of the more banger songs (ie. FSMH, Famous, Feedback) but also a lot of introspection on songs like Real Friends, FML, and Saint Pablo. Production throughout is excellent and I feel like almost all of the creative freedoms Kanye takes pay off in a great way. If that Facts Remix wasn't on the album it would be damn near perfect to me haha.
broo for me its TLOP and College Dropout! - I listened to Kanye VERY late and started from Donda and went backwards hahaha
@@mikeysrightleg1880same i listened to donda and went from college dropout to jesus is king in chronological order
This album was like Kanye's Scaring The Hoes. I hadn't heard near as much hip hop when I first heard this album and remember some parts being disorienting and others feeling like you're ascending to somewhere else, has aged well in my opinion
Such a great description. Could not agree more. Jpeg and kanye collab would create world peace
@@putyouonYES! and Peggy has talked a lot about wanting to work with Ye and use some crazy gospel samples along with his production. it would legit be such great musical chemistry between the two and their no-fucks-given attitude
no way bro said scaring the hoes😭😭
@@r3n804It's an albums
Maybe scaring the hoes is peggy’s yeezus?! Lol
*New Slaves still gets me emotional when it transitions into that Omega sample.*
So excited for this reaction. Yeezus is one of my favorite albums of all time.
❤️ u ringer
Probably the best Kanye album. This is musically one of the most brave, innovativ and creative albums I've ever heard.
One of the most aesthetically pleasing rap albums to listen to
Aesthetically? 🤨 doesn’t that mean visual
@@fueg00nyxxxwe know what it means😂
fire gym album
Makes me so happy. My favorite reaction album. I'll never forget my first listen.
First time I am a God was epic
it is easy to forget how incredible this album is, from first second to last
Seeing a past generation sit there in awe at the genius of Kanye is true entertainment.
You’ll have to put him on to Kids See Ghosts and TLOP🔥🔥
In terms of split on his fan base, those that are heavy on the rapping didn’t like this but those that appreciated exploration of sounds and production loved it.
I’m a mix of both but the production is top tier that I love this album
I think it's an experiment gone very wrong. For an example of this going good listen to Death Grips.
I was in the camp that did not enjoy this album as much as previous albums. But then i saw him on tour live and this bumps so hard when seeing it live.
this album has aged soooooooo well. would still be ahead of its time if it came out today.
this made me enjoy more experimental hiphop than the usual rap sound that mainstream is doing. definitely way ahead of its time. probably my fave Kanye record too
Your dad’s reaction to the end of “New Slaves” gained you a new sub! Him and I CATEGORICALLY shared the same experience hearing one of the most UNEXPECTED, EXPLOSIVE transitions of sound since the “Big Bang” 😮💨. I truly feel like he’s going to remember the track specifically for that section of the song. Periodically for the REST of his LIFE he will randomly sing/hum it. Aloud or In his head 🥲🙌🏿
That New Slaves outro gives everyone chills the first time listening 😂
guilt trip is a top 5 kanye song for me, street lights scratches the same itch, its those synths man.
I actually always thought guilt trip would fit nicely on 808s and Heartbreak. Just fits the vibe of that album
for realllll
I hate when people say its the worst off yeezus
It’s the synths and the violins at the end that do it for me man
@@2highagain everyone knows the worst song is im in it
New Slaves is stunning, Kanye is really GOATED man
The best and most influential Kanye album!
I’d say 808s is definitely his most influential, but Yeezus is easily better IMO!
Good to see someone older understand this with no judgment mikes a legend 🐐
Pops really went from being disgusted at Kendrick and Hip Hop in Wesley’s Theory to not even flinching at Kanye’s most lyrically and musically abrasive album, but enjoying tf out of it and I’m all here for that character development lmao 😂
Also Yeezus top 1 Kanye record and if you think otherwise you just wrong.
What if its in second
@@Slantt depends which one you say is 1 🤨
Late Reg better imo and maybe college dropout
@@Supertaldo916 Graduation is the best. MBDTF is 2nd. This could be 3rd.
Can’t wait to hear you making the noise from Blood On The Leaves for the foreseeable future 😂
BREEZE!
@@mightymike9469 I gotchu 😎😂
This was so great. It makes me stoked to see your pop's reaction to The Life ot Pablo. That's my favorite front to back listen of his for sure.
Probably the only Rap album without skips. Every track is a banger. To think i was introduced to rap through this album, it's crazy. I've never found any other Kanye album or 90% of the mainstream rap albums as good as this one. It's up there with TPAB or good kid.
And rodeo
Send It Up fucking sucks but that’s it
@@WILLINGLYWILD maria im drunk, i can tell, flying high, wasted are all skips
Yeezus is my favorite Daft Punk album
Was my favourite album ever for the longest time, isnt now but i still love it heaps, great reaction mikes
Oh my god there’s nothing more exhilarating than listening to the opening of this perfect album with On Sight and you can see it on y’all’s faces 😤
Much love lani 🫡❤️ more weeknd soon promise
Keep the ye train moving ❤❤
Your dad is very very intelligent! Crazy how he picked up on the themes so quickly.
Yeezus is so ahead of its time people still don’t know how to copy it.
You have such an amazing dad 🥲
I hope your grateful, God bless have a good day! One of my favorite channels
Thank you so much!
I just love this album! I also like how your dad seems to really dig this album both soundwise and kanyewise
Such a masterpiece
this is my first video of you guys that i’ve seen but i’m about to binge so many videos, i haven’t checked yet but i can’t wait to see his reaction to tlop
Hell yeah! Hope you enjoy some more vids 🫡
Thank you! ❤ GOOD Friday
love for everyone that was loving yeezus from the release.
YEEZUSSS!!! I love y’all’s reactions and especially when you guys react to Kanye 😁👋
🫡❤️
your dad did justice to the outro on new slaves, i get chills everytime i hear that part!
This channel is awesome! I love this album! I want to start a channel with my dad but don’t know where to start. We both share a passion for music. Keep up the good work guys! Thank you for a great video!
Go for it!!! If it’s what you want to do give it a shot 👍🏼
Man you guys are awesome! All of your Kanye West reactions are the best! Your dad reminds me of my dad haha
Yeezy season approaching 🗣️🔥🔥🔥
fvck what ever yall been hearing 🗣️🗣️💯
The way your dad talked about “I Am A God” was great. Very good detailed explanation of what might go through a mind like Kanye’s.
Kanye is his own genre
yess
“He’ll give us what you need, it may not be what you want” the slow part of On Sight 🔥
The album is a classic and all kanye first 6 are classics tbf incredible run
TLOP a classic too
Might be an unpopular opinion but every album is great at what they aim to do, Jesus is king is easily my favourite religious/gospel album, I prefer his others but he doesn’t miss
@@WILLINGLYWILD jesus is king is heavily underrated. But imo Donda 2 & vultures were misses.
@@sabus1265 DONDA 2 was never really finished tbf and even then it still had hits, and vultures was a pretty good album imo
Amazing
Praise Yeezus Hallelujah Lord Yeezus 🙌💎
Your dad killed this first listen! Props to him
Great review as always.... but i think you tapped into a new thing to do... at the end you should highlight the samples. Its such a huge part of hip hop it would only invite replay value. Keep up the good work!!!
Noted. I’m a sample geek so i’ll keep that in mind 👍🏼
this album's first listen had me in a chokehold because of how different and bold it is. it's such an experimental album but he still finds a way to make every track feel so polished and finished. i feel like, Yeezus is everything it should be. nothing more, nothing less. Amazing album.
the slow part in On Sight was to let the listener know Kanye knows what we want from him the hiphop soul beats with the samples but this album he was gonna do it
This is my favorite Kanye album
Great video guys.
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
W DOOM pfp
good video mannnnn
Fire
Peggy and Danny shirt ❤🔥
Hot take, Hold My Liquor best Kanye song
Honestly very fair
I'm in it
😂😂😂 yeah right
my favorite song of all time for 5 years now
Fair. Its in my top 10
Decided to put ur vid on, went in the bathroom, stared at Mt shirt and thought about how much I loved it. Then I come back into to my room and realize ur wearing a shirt from the same album. Def finishing this video you better be cool.
I hope I was cool
Your dad had the best reaction to when the album ends. He just goes "the master"
He really is a master of music.
on sight
Very rare for an album to start off with 4 absolute 10/10 masterpiece songs. This album is so misunderstood the music is next level. Once it's re-released in 2033 it'll set the world ablaze. Ye is in the future.
Best Kanye album imo 😮
Ayyy my man rocking that STH shirt knowing peggy biggest inspirations is Ye, CRAZY
😉
BLACK SKINHEAAADDD
MY FAV SONG ON THE ALBUM
goated reaction right here been waitin on this 1
🔥🔥🔥
it is the greatest album ever.
U DA BEST, DAD!
If your father really love Ye, maybe you could show him some of his best unreleased work. Yandhi perhaps ?
Absolutely
Yandhi? Yes siirrr
The dad going Gary Glitter on the intro to black skinhead was crazy, I never noticed the similarity.
My favourite kanye album
Travis Scott reference in the title
One of the most underrated albums of all time, truly ahead of it’s time
I just watched loads of your videos, I love all your reactions especially Billie eillish. I'd love for you to do a harry styles album, his most recent one has won a Grammy but his other two are also incredible ❤
You should listen to from me to you abd only you by Areece
YEEZUS 🔥🔥🔥
DONDA🔥🔥🔥
TLOP 🔥🔥🔥
all 10/10 albums and they're not even his best work imo what a legend!
Since when did this album have a lowkey rollout? The SNL performances were wild. And the showing of music videos on walls around America (or maybe it was just New York, I don't remember) was sick.
Love the reaction! Now TLOP is next 😏
Nothing Was The Same next
The biggest feature on the album is God. He featured God on I am a God
Album will still be fresh in 2090 haha
peeped the peggy x danny brown shirt!!
My guys rocking the Scaring The Hoz t huge w
Aye aye aye aye
Top 5 Ye album of all time idc.
The greatest album of all time...OF ALL TIME.
Is your Dad in the middle of watching Breaking Bad or something, best show of all time btw 😂
He recently watched all of BB and better call saul. The best show’s ever tbh
idk if youre a fan of death grips or injury reserve but id love to see a reaction to the money store or by the time i get to phoenix
Death grips could possibly make him have a heart attack but that reaction would be so good
Rick Rubin wasn't responsible for the sound on the album, he did fine tune and cut things back as a exec producer
it was all Mike Dean
@@sabus1265 no it wasnt just him, there was daft punk who basically started the album with kanye, Arca and Gesaffelstein
I think crediting Rick Rubin, as I used to, is misled. When you hear what it was before he came along, I would say all he did was make it shorter.
You can argue that is better or more concise but idk, I think it was better before.
"no big features" kanye Slapped GOD as a feature on one song
MIKE??? the intro lol
A little late BUT I AM HERE
Mad I didn’t get to watch this on the live but oh well.
You here now!! Much love
@@putyouon this was a great reaction, glad he liked it all so much
It's funny that your dad hears Gary Glitter drums on Black skinhead. I actually think that is the sample on Circus Maximus, not beautiful people.
22:52 “is that Kim?” 😂💀💀
