I was born in Clarksville Arkansas my family moved to northern Indiana at the end of my 2nd grade school year I started 3rd grade here. Every year at vacation time we went to Arkansas to visit grandparents and uncles and aunts and many cousins. Then when I got married we did the same thing. I can't travel anymore I just turned 81.
My husband and our children lived on goat milk and many goat milk products that I learned to make. We still like goat milk milk shakes , ice cream , and cheese. As time passed our farm life changed, but goat milk food products are still enjoyed.
I was thinking, as the girls were petting him, that they probably don't want to touch his face too much.😅 We love our goats and plan to have them around for a long time. Hope you have a great week!
Looks like Johnny is on board to increase the number of animals on the farm and yes he is a good looking Buck. Now we hope the ladies will take to him quickly🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
I love watching your family and the Eddie family. I have 2 questions. Did you finish that building that you were painting the tin roof that was not installed yet? If you did finish it, have you showed finished building? 2nd question. I love animals, but I have really bad allergies. Do you ever deal with the allergy problems. I have to say away animals with hair. 😒 love your Families 👍💙💖💖💖
We got the roof on and a couple of the walls but had to pause on it for a bit due to other priorities. It will be getting finished soon though. And yes, we do have issues with allergies sometimes.
Quarenteen means they can't touch noses with any other animal for 30 days at least. Lol love the girls. And don't feed bucks grain. They can get urinary calculy. Just trying to help.
When we purchase from an auction, we definitely keep them in a 30 day quarantine. These came from clean farms so we aren’t too concerned about them having anything, but are keeping them separate for at least a couple of weeks as a precaution. The only thing they are within range of are the boys going to auction and the goats that have been in quarantine already on the farm. Yes, we have ammonium chloride to help keep his urinary tract in working order. Thanks so much for the tips and suggestions! We appreciate you watching! 😊❤️
When the chickens eat corn, it lowers the protein levels so they don’t lay as well. Plus they don’t lay well in the winter because they’re not getting enough light.
Yes, we already had things lined out to get him. We just had to wait because he was the opposite direction from the girls we got. Thanks so much for watching!
Hi there sounds exciting and rewarding your new adventures with the goats. Going to be lots of fun and makes lots of things you can use on your everyday life in the homestead. Looking forward to following along. Thanks for sharing have a wonderful day take care and God bless 💕🙏
Hey guys go to Blue Cactus Dairy Goats. Check out the A-frames they have in their goat pens. They give shelter and a place for exercise and more. They are portable and hold up well.
Beautiful boy! 🥰 If y’all end up getting a doe in milk, see if they’ll let you test milk her first. There is a lot of diversity when it comes to udder texture, teat size, and teat orifice size in Nigerian Dwarf goats. Some of my girls milk out fast, and others about put a cramp in my hand by the time I’m done. 🤣
That’s some great advice! She’s currently undergoing a milk test right now which she won’t finish until later this month. If we end up with several we will definitely be investing in a milking machine, but for now it will definitely be hand milking so want some easy milkers. 😂
You might consider a solar light for the chickens. You can set a timer on it as well. Brooke might be a good resource for setting up a milk station and give you advice on what & how to do things. Just a thought 😊🐐
Congratulations on the new boy. I’m at work tonight so I can’t have the sound too high. Did you say whether Johnny was “polled “ or dehorned. Polled would be great!
Yay for Johnny---but he may need some tips on romancing the pretty girls. I love Izzy's hat, sure matches her shirt-jack. Great plans to become more self-sufficient. Get more chickens!😃
LJohnny is a handsome buck. Love the way his hair fluffs out down his back. Are y'all going to be milking your goats? I don't think I've ever tasted goats milks. ❤❤ God bless Cookie ate himself to sleep😂
The man in black ,Johnny. His handsome , if you’re going to use the milk please check it out if you need to separate Johnny from the girls?. Ask Jason from Cog Hill about it. Good luck I hope everything goes well for you. Take care and stay safe. God bless
Can’t believe your petting that Billie, since the bucks Urinate all over there faces and bodies to attract the nanas. In theory the milking is a good idea. But the work and what’s needed done is a lot of work. Praying your hopes n dreams turn out.
We just make sure to wash our hands. As for the work, it will definitely all be worth it! We have wanted fresh milk on the farm for years! Thank you so much!
Did you get him from Brandan I’ve seen one looks like him with white spots on someone’s videos recently….im thinking Brandan said he’s has some he’s going to find a new home …….
Oh, I feed the egg shells back to the chickens for the calcium. It will help with the egg shells.
That’s a great idea. We generally have crushed oyster shells out with them to help with this.
You have beautiful animals I love watching the girls they are so sweet and kind with all the animals great video God bless you all
Thank you! You too!
Congratulations on getting the registered goat. He’s very handsome.
Thanks, we are really excited about him!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful memories! We are a little over an hour from Clarksville.
Thanks
Thank you so much for watching!
Talk to Cog Hill about keeping your Billie's far away from your milk goats. I hear it makes the milk taste bad if they are close.
Yes, that’s what Jason has said a couple times.
Oh yes! Even when they stopped milking they mad sure Joe & Moe were far away with the pigs.
Thanks for the info!
Congratulations on purchasing Johnny. Looks like he is getting along with the ladies.
Yes, they are getting along great. Hopefully in another week they will be getting along even better. 😂
Obviously from someone that showed because I noticed no horns 😊
Disbudding is one job I’m not looking forward to, but know that it must be done.
Raised my oldest son. Now 52 on goats milk. Yummy stuff❤❤❤❤❤
My husband and our children lived on goat milk and many goat milk products that I learned to make.
We still like goat milk milk shakes , ice cream , and cheese.
As time passed our farm life changed, but goat milk food products are still enjoyed.
That’s awesome! We are excited to see what all we can make with their milk.

Thank you so much! We appreciate your love and support! God bless you too!
Johnny is a handsome buck. Good luck with milking setup. Maybe your chickens will start back laying. GOD bless y'all.
Thank you! I know they will in the spring; but we may add some light to get them back going sooner. Thanks for watching!
That's a nice buck! And hopefully he'll throw some nice kids for you. 💖💖💖
We are excited to see what kind of colors we get with him!
Johnny has beautiful coloring and so friendly, which is a great thing. Good video
Thank you so much! We fell in love the moment we saw him and his disposition is so great for a mature buck.
He has a coop Mohawk!!
Yes he does!
Our eggs were really high for about a month. They just came down to after Thanksgiving. But still a little high.
I was thinking, as the girls were petting him, that they probably don't want to touch his face too much.😅 We love our goats and plan to have them around for a long time. Hope you have a great week!
We definitely make them go wash up as soon as they love on him! He’s pretty smelly!
Looks like Johnny is on board to increase the number of animals on the farm and yes he is a good looking Buck. Now we hope the ladies will take to him quickly🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
For sure! Hopefully they will soon!
I like the different colors that Johnny has. He's going to make some beautiful babies.
Hugs🤗 Love❤ Prayers🙏 & Peace✌
Yes we hope so!

@@lomagibson664 - thanks so much Loma! Hope you’re doing well and we appreciate your love and support! ❤️❤️

Correct, we may add more light to them and they are still getting laying pellets mixed in with their ration. Thanks so much!
Congratulations on Johnny, he’s beautiful!! I’m glad to hear that he’s a friendly buck. God bless you and love from Canadice NY ❤
Thank you so much! Yes, he’s a sweet boy!
I love hitting up thrift stores. If you have a Salvation Army store they have a higher quality of items.
They’ve been to the Salvation Army before too, but were hung up on checking out this Goodwill store. 😂
I hope they found themselves a little treasure.
Oh i have one so similar to him with blue eyes... Omgoodness he throws some of the best babies
I'm excited for y'all and pray y'all have some beautiful spotted babies
Thank you so much!!

Thank you so much for joining us! Glad you enjoyed!
I guess that answered my question from the last video LOL God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
Yes, we already had things lined out to get him. We just had to wait because he was the opposite direction from the girls we got. Thanks so much for watching!

Can't wait! Thank you!
Welcome Johnny!!! He looks like he has a horse's mane! So funny!!! Good luck with him! Is Cookie the other breeder male?
Cookie will be the other breeder male when he gets older. Izzy fell in love with him at the auction and purchased him while we were there.
Hey guys go to Blue Cactus Dairy Goats. Check out the A-frames they have in their goat pens. They give shelter and a place for exercise and more. They are portable and hold up well.
My kids started out showing Nigerian and Pygmy goats because of size but soon moved to full size dairy.
Yes, the girls definitely are wanting to show the goats so we will see how that goes. 😊
Johnny is a handsome fellow.
I think he'll work out great on the farm. ❤
Yes we think so too!
Welcome Johnny, cant wait yo see what colors he throws❤❤❤❤
Us too!!

Thank you so much for the tips! We appreciate you! 😊
Congratulations on your new addition to the farm, Kevin where did you find the goat 🐐
South Arkansas from a farm there.
My wife wants goats when we finally get our property with acres unfortunately I just had a new house built 2 years ago in so Missouri
Congratulations on the new boy. I’m at work tonight so I can’t have the sound too high. Did you say whether Johnny was “polled “ or dehorned. Polled would be great!
I’m not sure if he was naturally polled or if he was disbudded as a baby.
@ it should be on his paperwork. Polled is great. I have a mini Nubian and mini Lamancha that are both polled. The Nubian is blue eyed
Congratulations 👏 ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Thank you! 🤗
Sounds like you have a good chance for milk goats in the spring.
We sure are hoping so, but only time will tell. Thank you for watching!
Yay I knew it!
Yes, we had to keep the secret!
Congrats on new buck.
Thank you!
Awesome! I hope he works out perfect & I like the name Johnny!
Thanks so much! We're hoping so too!
⚘️💖⚘️💖hi dad 👋🏽
Hey Satin! ❤️
Yay for Johnny---but he may need some tips on romancing the pretty girls. I love Izzy's hat, sure matches her shirt-jack. Great plans to become more self-sufficient. Get more chickens!😃

Yes! We are so excited to start milking our goats. It won’t be until later spring though.
Hey Kevin did you take the girls to tippie the tortoise page and let them see how big he is and what he does
I think autocorrect may have changed it, but do you mean Tiptoe the Tortoise? If so, yes we have seen some of their content. Very interesting! ❤️☺️
The man in black ,Johnny. His handsome , if you’re going to use the milk please check it out if you need to separate Johnny from the girls?. Ask Jason from Cog Hill about it. Good luck I hope everything goes well for you. Take care and stay safe. God bless
Thank you so much! We do plan to use the milk and will make arrangements to have them separate.
I like your Male 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐

Get you a milk machine. I had to get one cause i don't have strength to milk
We may do that at some point.
Did you get him from Brandan I’ve seen one looks like him with white spots on someone’s videos recently….im thinking Brandan said he’s has some he’s going to find a new home …….
No, Brandon's goats aren't registered.
No, we bought this from someone else.
When he goes into rut don’t pet or touch him it won’t go well
