Granny always said if your feet are cold, put a hat on your head. She said to put shoes on if you are headed out to the barnyard. If she were still living, she would be 123 years old. I don't remember her ever giving me bad advice.
Yeah...Ì could have "bought" the "Eugene" thing....but when the camera showed those oversized barefeet at the stove....I guess that it was Brett!?!😆😂🙃😂🙃
Meg, I have to thank you for your pork recipe book. I used your bacon recipe a couple weeks ago and it is the only one I will use from now on. It even passed the hubby test! Apple wood for smoking!
No Meg save the tomato water. It’s great for seasoning soups that you don’t wanna turn it red but it has a nice tomato flavor and the juice is great to drink try it’s delicious.
I think she has a storage issue. But we're on city water so I keep ours for soup and also as emergency drinkable 'water' if that supply were disrupted.
Intake my tomato "water" & can for soup starter. When I'm throwing a bunch of leftovers into a soup pot, I'll add a jar of "soup starter" to give it flavor.
We save our tomato water/juice, can it and my husband also drinks it. It's actually great for mens prostate. (That cancer runs in his family) Protects them from prostate cancer and also good for older mens stamina. All of God's creation has a purpose, we just need to find out what it is.
No doubt Meg already has tomatoe juice/water put up up and away. 😄 She doesn’t waste anything ♥️😊. Buggy. You are BEAUTIFUL, and your baby sister too. She reminds me of you at that age 🥰
WONDERFUL!!!!! Seeing the whole family pitching in to help process your food gives me such a great feeling. I'd say that the Hollars have this family thing all figured out! Yay for y'all! ~Dr. Larry S. Anderson • Tupelo, MS (birthplace of Elvis)
When I lived in NJ, I would make iced tea in a pot, and while it was hot, I would set the pot with the boiling tea out the front door on the stoop, in the snow, or on a frozen morning with no snow.
Tomato water is great for cooking rice or adding as extra to soups that get a little too thick and you don’t want to add water. Also if you want to use it to thin out tomato paste.
Awesome family efforts & great to see everyone being helpful & healthy! Thanks for sharing! I was watching your homestead search last night & was thankful you didn’t get the property away up in the hills where it was evident that flooding had happened. That property probably got flooded down the hillside during hurricane Helene! Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦🌻
Meg I did my tomato’s about 3 weeks ago. I wish I had counted how many gallon bags I had and every bag was full. I actually thawed mine over night. I put the bags in kitchen tubs. They weren’t quite thawed so I rinsed them in cool water to remove the skins then put them in my roaster pan and cooked down until thick. Put into pint jars, since it’s just two of us and canned them. I laughed! For the amount of tomatoes I had. I finish with 48 pints. A lot of work for small amount. But I have to remember where they came from and what went into them. I hadn’t canned tomatoes for several years. How the mind forgets hard work. lol. Thanks for sharing your videos. Take care and God Bless. Cheers❤
Tom oar does a lot of tanning hides. He said he bought a 3 dollar book with 16 pages on how to tan. I love watching him on mountain men what an artist. I love watching yall channel. The food that comes out of that kitchen makes me hungry.
I have seen all your boys pitching in with assistance around the home and property .. all done with a sence off pride and now a load of humor 😅 Shout out to the boys .. ❤❤❤❤ job well done Dad and Mom 😊
Your kids are great. I will say I wish they would wear shoes, especially in the winter. It just freezes me to the bone to see them run around barefoot in frosty weather. Love your channel.
My senior year of high school, my friend and I attempted to tan a cow hide for a school project. We had no idea what we were doing and this was before RUclips. Lol It was as stiff as a board and we had to bow it over and tie it in the back of my truck to get to school. So yes! I would love to see a video of how to do it correctly! 😂
BEN.. I LOOOVVVE LOVE LOVE THAT. NIGHT TIME WATER HOLDER! ITS JUST PERFECT. ITS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR! IM HAVING MY SON WATCH THIS VIDEO SO HE WILL HAVE AN IDEA TO WORK FROM! GREAT VIDEO YOU TWO! ❤❤ YOU ALL TAKE CARE.
Good morning Hollers. You have a awesome family. Buggie running around no shoes. Love seeing your boys helping around the farm. Elizabeth is growing up so fast. Been missing you film but Meg steps in and does the job. Watching you from Durant, Mississippi. We love you all.
The cold smoker looks like a still. Or maybe Chitty Chitty Bang BangLOL! It’s not a critic. It’s actually a complement! You’re very ingenious to come up with that. That bacon looks delicious!
love the fact the kids have coats and hats on but still have bare feet grounded for sure hugsssss
I was going to comment abt the bare feet too. Love to see them barefoot. I’m a barefoot girl here.

I absolutely agree! I label it liquid gold when I freeze it and dole it out for my soups.

I love outside freezer season!! It’s the only time of year that I can defrost my one freezer. Next week it should be cold enough to tackle that job.
Enjoyed every second vid! You nailed it!
Ya'lls just awesome!! Lol I can't believe Elizabeth is growing so fast, seems like just yesterday she was born!

Shout out to the boys .. ❤❤❤❤ job well done Dad and Mom 😊
You can can up the tomato water and use it as a broth in cooking rice, adding to soups, all sorts of yummy. Adds a bit of nutrition and flavor.
IDEA 💡....put the little hide remnants on your Christmas tree 🎄 like you would a garland. ❤
Love how you have lived your life. God Bless. Deborah.
