Born and raised in Germany 🇩🇪 the buttered bread crumbs are indeed a German thing. My family puts it on egg noodles but also cooked cauliflower. So yummy
I was going to suggest Pennsylvania Dutch, which is German. My father's mother was "Pennsylvania Dutch" and my mother learned some recipes from her, including our very favorite way that she made these very fine egg noodles, which was pan fried until they were crisp in most parts, then broken into servings for each of the six of us, then covered with butter and salt. So yummy! She always used an electric skillet to get even frying - the same skillet she used for our favorite dish of hers, which was fried chicken!
A pair of coveralls to slip into really helps. You can wear them a few days and hang them in the garage. Not exactly a fashion statement, but helps keep the laundry down.
This is GREAT ADVICE!! Ruthann Zimmerman has coveralls and muck boots for herself and each of her children for when they go to the barn for chores. COVERALLS AND MUCK BOOTS!!!!DEFINITELY WILL CUT DOWN ON LAUNDRY!

My Grammy was Slovak and was born and raised in Austria. She always made breadcrumb noodles. The only difference with hers was that after the breadcrumbs were browned in butter, and they cooled to room temp, she added some sugar to the breadcrumbs and then mixed them with the noodles. They were absolutely delicious. That little bit of sugar added just the right touch and they were gobbled up rather quickly. There were eight of us living in our house so Grammy always made a lot to feed the masses.
Oh so heartwarming and memories to last a lifetime. Gosh that is like going to calfateria with many things to choose from. The bonus was the snow that got the kids all excited. Unfortunately with age things do change as the gatherings I once attended are a thing of the past. So it's fun to watch this. Hit the jackpot and got to listen to some piano music. This year I did not cook for Thanksgiving, just regular dinner for my family, but I actually went out for Thanksgiving. It was fun to not be in the kitchen overnight and all day Thanksgiving and just sit and be served from someone else's pot. I had a lot of fun and returned home feeling relaxed and not overtired. I absolutely loved watching your video!!! It reminded me when us kids used to all get together at my grandma and grandpas house, we would all run around and just have a glorious time and all the adults would be chatting and there was always the wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen and homemade food filled every square inch of Grandmas small kitchen. It was placed buffet style and we could help ourselves. That was many decades ago now, and now I’m a grandma myself and it’s hard to believe where all the years have gone!!! I miss those times shared with my cousins and all my aunts and uncles(so many of them have passed on now but are never forgotten) such incredibly happy childhood memories at Grandma and Grandpas house. Thank you for sharing your family with me it brought back incredible memories. God sure knew what he was doing when he allowed us to store our most precious moments in our brains. We can experience them whenever we need to and no one else even knows what is putting a smile on our face. Sara one day you will be seeing your sweet and precious Peace caring for her real newborn babe and you will wonder where all the years went! You should use the command strips with the Velcro for hanging prints….super easy and easy to remove without leaving residue or holes!

I absolutely loved watching your video!!! It reminded me when us kids used to all get together at my grandma and grandpas house, we would all run around and just have a glorious time and all the adults would be chatting and there was always the wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen and homemade food filled every square inch of Grandmas small kitchen. It was placed buffet style and we could help ourselves. That was many decades ago now, and now I’m a grandma myself and it’s hard to believe where all the years have gone!!! I miss those times shared with my cousins and all my aunts and uncles(so many of them have passed on now but are never forgotten) such incredibly happy childhood memories at Grandma and Grandpas house. Thank you for sharing your family with me it brought back incredible memories. God sure knew what he was doing when he allowed us to store our most precious moments in our brains. We can experience them whenever we need to and no one else even knows what is putting a smile on our face. Sara one day you will be seeing your sweet and precious Peace caring for her real newborn babe and you will wonder where all the years went! Thanks again for sharing the high decibels of children having fun, to me there is no greater sounds then children’s laughter.
