I had the same lathe in a 54 inch length, and it was worn in ways I didn't like, and a bit long, so I found a 36 inch machine, and took them both apart making one nicer one. Hey, I really like the use of the collet chuck in your videos. Another way that you think a bit differently. Now I'm inspired to do the same. Thanks! Gregg
Hi Gregg. Once you use a collet chuck you will never look back. They are just so good for some hard to hold jobs - particularly smallish items. Collets are overlooked by many lathe owners, probably because they think they are a specialised tool, which they are not. Just another form of chuck. Cheers Rob.
