- I've always wondered what the products were like from Instagram celebrities' sponsored posts - so I decided to take on the Fit Teas, Sugar Bear Hairs, and Waist Trainers and buy the first 5 things that Instagram celebrities recommended! I browsed the feeds of Kardashians, Jenners, and Bachelorettes, and found 5 sponsored posts to buy products from, and then tried them out for an entire month! What did you guys think of these products?

Seeing her pay more for products like makeup products since I don't like to buy makeup personally is *VERY* satisfying. Will say that the whitening product is tempting since my teeth are horribly stained

right. it's so frustrating to constantly hear people acting like 'flushing out toxins' is actually a thing you can do with some food. if there are any toxins in your body, your liver is handling them, or you need to call the poison control center

These "detox" teas are basically just diuretics and laxatives. Not healthy, better to just drink lots of water, your liver will detox you
Yeah basically shits and pisses with no giggles lol. I will say though, I read somewhere that low level heavy metal detoxification can be aided by some foods like cilantro. Idk how helpful it is though. Also, you can overdose and build too much of fat soluble vitamins which will tax the liver and may even need medical treatment for so be careful with those %10000000000 rda vit c vitamins! Exaggerating but seriously you don't need much over %100 daily value unless you have a certain medical condition that calls for it.

That stuff for the eyelashes is literally pointless as your eyelashes are constantly shedding and fully shed over a 6 week period. So by the time it starts to work you'll have fresh lashes again
Are you sure your entire set of lashes falls out and grows back within 6 weeks? I think that sounds a little quick...
If the natural replacement cycle is 6 weeks, it makes sense that any product applied to the follicles would take 6 weeks to affect the whole length.
I mean you are right that its probably pointless, but not right in your logic.
I believe the idea is that it helps them grow in stronger, so *if* it actually worked by the first month you would see it had grown in better and look nicer. Then you would keep buying their product because it only works if you use it constantly.
But it probably doesn't do anything noticeable so this whole thing is null anyway.
The lash serums that actually work do so by kind of slowing your lash growth cycle. Your lashes "hang on" longer, and don't fall out when they're "supposed to", so because they keep growing but don't fall out you have longer lashes overall. It's a really simple concept.
I used a similar product about 7 years ago, and it worked wonders for me and my mom. My mom's lashes literally grew like 3mm. You have to use it constantly though, cause lashes do shed. I wouldn't recommend those products though, they say they can damage your eyes and affect your vision after prolonged use.

Not to mention how smooth and relaxing her voice is. I love having her videos on in the background while doing something monotonous, because the videos are entertaining and interesting, but since I've seen them before, i don't have to constantly look at the screen. I have anxiety and adhd, and it really helps to occupy the part of my brain that needs constant simulation, so the rest of the brain can focus on getting things done.

Yes! I especially thought this at the teeth whitening scene because teeth aren’t supposed to be white!!! They are yellowish (and to be honest Safs teeth weren’t really yellow in the first place) because they are literal bones that you use to cut foods in your mouth! It’s a protection layer so the bones don’t get hurt but rather the protection aaarrghh. As if the bones inside of your body are white too😭 our body especially mouth has special protections for the teeth too like before you throw up your body produces a special kind of saliva to protect your teeth from getting hurt from your gastric acid. I hate capitalism.

One RUclipsr I watch has revealed that she used to be on a diet which involves the drinking of Laxative teas. After a couple of days, she felt super sick, and even had to go to the hospital because of the pain. Moral of the story: NEVER drink laxative teas. They do WAY more harm than good.

for anyone who may be reading this: try using castor oil instead of those expensive queen pegasus things. just put a drop of castor oil on your fingers and gently massage into your lashes before going to sleep. it does feel a bit weird and everything looks a bit cloudy, but it's not harmful if a little bit gets into your eyes and you won't notice it because you'll be asleep anyway :)

Warning for those who want to use teeth whitening, i’ve never had teeth sensitivity i could eat anything, bite into ice cream and feel no pain, but after trying crest white strips i can no longer eat ice cream without having intense sensitivity and pain. Be careful before using whitening products!

The yellowing of teeth is enamel. The way to whiten your teeth is to essencially thin out the enamel to look whiter

The box actually looked kinda cool. Some subscription boxes are rubbish but this one looked pretty in line with the cost, to my mind anyway. Would have liked further review of stuff in the box (did the pillow scent aid sleep, did the undereye patches work, did grandma like the shawl-blanket etc).

I love this one it's so fun
I have so much admiration for the work that goes into these videos. A lot of youtubers are just lazy people who got lucky, but Safiya really works hard. Just the sheer fact that she keeps to a regular schedule while balancing weird ass experiment lengths and shipping times is incredible!! Like I've been watching youtubers regularly since I was about 10 (I'm 19, so nearly half my life) and this level of work ethic combined with actual creativity and thought is truly rare. Also: I think she's pretty talented with her diction and that's never something I've seen discussed. She's clearly an intelligent young woman and I wish there were more youtubers like her for me to see when I was younger, especially as a brown girl.
