safiya is one of the only youtubers who has unique content. she's so honest and truthful, and she doesn't say she loves everything or hates everything, unlike other youtubers who sometimes bend the truth when they review items. she's so professional and articulate and it's very refreshing
ik this comment is gonna be way out of date but can we appreciate saf for genuinely trying out these products, giving them a fair chance, and giving them an honest review bc i feel like some youtubers make a joke out of cheaper makeup when it’s genuinely not feasible for everyone to go out and spend $20 on an eyeliner- love safiya and her channel so much!! :)

Thanks for actually trying to make it work. I feel like when makeup gurus try on dollar store or "affordable" makeup and one thing doesn't work then they give up on the entire look and don't even try. I'm a licensed makeup artist but when I was young I would buy cheap dollar makeup and I had girls at school asking if I was wearing MAC (MAC was the "shit" back in the day). Ladies, not everyone can afford high end makeup, I've been there, but let me tell you that all you really need is a good set of brushes and blend your little heart out. You can make any makeup look bomb.

I felt like she was shiny before putting it on. Sweaty/oily after running around for makeup and food sort of shiny. Which I respect, but also I would have preferred it if she had cleansed her skin prior to putting foundation on.
Dry skin people are just like "GIMME" XD It might be one of those that would also set down after a while, too. Plus the filming lights bounce back more shine than there usually is in real life.
Just realized she was wearing her zodiac outfit when getting the seven eleven makeup! It's actually kind of cool that she films a lot of videos at once, so viewers can have easter eggs like that.
I've never understood why places just kick you out for filming, especially if you aren't being loud or destructive. Why not just give you a polite warning, and give you the opportunity to finish up? That's always bothered me. You would think they wouldn't mind the publicity, and like I said, it's not like you and Tyler were breaking milk jugs on the ground, or filming an obnoxious skit.
i worked retail. it's mostly company policies, but in the case of privately owned stores, it's so you're not filming other people and employees. especially if you're filming and making other customers uncomfortable, it can hurt business and management always strives to make everyone happy. another thing is competition from other stores-copyrighted logos and product displays are different in most companies, and stores try to make it as hard as possible for their competitors to copy image designs and layout. if you ask beforehand, some places might allow you, but everyone should be respectful if there are 'no camera/filming' signs, and if they're asked to leave.

I love how Safiya explains things, her professional-ish mannerisms, and her sense of humor. I act in a rather similar way so it’s nice to see a RUclipsr I can fully relate to (unlike the typical loud and obnoxious ones). I also like how she explains makeup stuff, as I am totally null in understanding that field. Her mannerisms make for engaging, never boring, and well crafted videos!! (Sorry it ended up sounding like a professor evaluation haha)

I'm actually excited for women who might not be able to afford to get expensive makeup. In our city (okc) there are a lot of various different 7-11s in areas near homeless areas and a lot of women don't have access to a Walgreens or Walmart. Which brings me to I'm so blessed to be able to buy from Sephora or have clothes...so ladies if you don't have makeup you use anymore try to donate to women's shelters ❤

Don’t bother reviewing it there are sooo many reviews. I love this video bc people aren’t reviewing it and for the humor. I love how funny she is and how unique her videos are, why are you wanting something everyone is doing?
All stores have their reasons. 1. You could disrupt customers. Say you are doing a the floor is lava prank/challenge. Or if you were to do a shop from other peoples cart challenge. RUclips "pranks" can be very disruptive to others. (It's considered rude to film people without their consent.) 2. You could film sensitive information. Like someones pin number at the register accidentally or get their card number. 3. Robbers plan robberies by taking pictures and getting the layout of the store. Video and pictures helps in this regard. 4. If you are filming in the store, people assume you are allowed to film there. If you then do something outrageous, people assume that it is acceptable behavior to do it as well. This can deter people from going if they don't like it. 5. Mainly, the area is private property. Yes, you can come in and buy stuff, but the store owner/ company owns the space. They can make rules (within reason) that can kick you out if you break them. Just like if you let your friend in your house. You have the right to kick them out if they do things you don't like. The only thing the store can't do is make you erase the film you already have. Edit: It's also illegal in some states to capture a conversation that you are not apart of and you failed to get consent to. You can accidentally capture a conversation if you film in stores. Even if it is accidental, it's still illegal.

I'm actually excited for women who might not be able to afford to get expensive makeup. In our city (okc) there are a lot of various different 7-11s in areas near homeless areas and a lot of women don't have access to a Walgreens or Walmart. Which brings me to I'm so blessed to be able to buy from Sephora or have clothes...so ladies if you don't have makeup you use anymore try to donate to women's shelters ❤

All stores have their reasons.
1. You could disrupt customers. Say you are doing a the floor is lava prank/challenge. Or if you were to do a shop from other peoples cart challenge. RUclips "pranks" can be very disruptive to others. (It's considered rude to film people without their consent.)
2. You could film sensitive information. Like someones pin number at the register accidentally or get their card number.
3. Robbers plan robberies by taking pictures and getting the layout of the store. Video and pictures helps in this regard.
4. If you are filming in the store, people assume you are allowed to film there. If you then do something outrageous, people assume that it is acceptable behavior to do it as well. This can deter people from going if they don't like it.
5. Mainly, the area is private property. Yes, you can come in and buy stuff, but the store owner/ company owns the space. They can make rules (within reason) that can kick you out if you break them. Just like if you let your friend in your house. You have the right to kick them out if they do things you don't like.
The only thing the store can't do is make you erase the film you already have.
Edit: It's also illegal in some states to capture a conversation that you are not apart of and you failed to get consent to. You can accidentally capture a conversation if you film in stores. Even if it is accidental, it's still illegal.
