I once respected Chief Justice Roberts but I have lost all respect for him. He's as corrupt and putrid as the rest of them. I resent him to no end. We, the common People, need to put our differences aside and work together on what we all can agree on- the belief that corruption in all forms suck, that true Justice is worth upholding, and rule- breakers deserve to be held accountable and punished. We, the common People, need to have an effective, stronger oversight committee filled with qualified people, who have actual integrity and are also ethical and well versed in Constitutional Law, hold those placed into the Supreme Court accountable for corruption. We also need to expand the Supreme Court judges to 13 to represent the 13 districts. I believe it would be better for the common People to vote for the Justices who we believe are the most qualified and ethical instead of having party lines make the choices. The law is meant to be the law and not some political statement. It's neutral and meant to apply to EVERYONE EQUALLY regardless of party, creed, religion, race, ethnicity, sex, gender, rich, poor, etc.
There should be a caveat that explicitly targets bribery with "do not pass go" consequences of automatic disqualification, disbarment, and ejection from the bench. Until we, the common People, can put aside our infighting and come together to get rid of the corruption ourselves by actually holding our public servants (politicians) accountable with harsher consequences such as holding special elections to recall and fire those who are benefiting from insider trading, who uphold the two-tiered justice system, who fail to close tax loopholes which helps the rich get richer, and make the rest of us poorer, who allow lax regulations on corporations who willingly pollute and exploit us all, who accept bribes in the form of campaign donations- the swamp will never be drained and we will continue to be overtaxed, exploited, unhoused, undereducated, underpaid, and miserable. Until we, the common People, actually start making a stand on these issues and take our power back (while we still can) we'll never have the kind of happiness we want for ourselves as citizens, as a nation, and as a People.

Finally, someone is advocating for what I've been calling for over the past 2 years - a criminal investigation into the activities of Alito and Thomas. Thank you Glenn for finally calling for that.
They should be disqualified for showing that they lied in the hearings for their appointment and not allowed to practice law.
Disqualified by whom? It's led by an impeachment process that needs a majority in the House (won't happen with the present GoP majority) to pass into the Senate, where it needs a 2/3 majority (Dems have about a 6 seat majority) to get a conviction. I agree. But unfortunately there is a segment of the population swayed by every fake TikTok saying Trump is wonderful. Alito and Thomas should be impeached and removed from the court. At a minimum, they should not be allowed to rule on any Trump cases.
In case you missed what Glenn said: Enter "www.uscourts.gov" and search for "misconduct form" on the page displayed. The result was Form AO310, Complaint of Judicial Misconduct or Disability. 28 U.S. Code 455 says: A justice must remove himself from a case if his impartiality might reasonably be questioned. (I don't know what to enter in the blank on the first line: Judicial Council of the________ Circuit.)
I believe they need to be disbarred and pushed out of "practicing" law for the rest of their lives. We all know Alito and Thomas will never recuse themselves until they're forced out- permanently.

The SCOTUS should be accountable to an oversight commission. It should be empowered to determine conflicts of interest, and recuse justices from cases where they have interests.
If someone in the position of justice Alito will say something like it was his wife who changed the flag, then he is a hack and is not SCOTUS material.

Recusal is not enough. The 14th amendment applies to supreme court justices as well. By supporting an insurrection, he is ineligible to serve in any office, federal or state. He must resign immediately!

I wish we could set term limits for Supreme Court justices, but it would take *a Constitutional amendment* to change it. That lifetime appointment is in Article III of the Constitution.

Thank you glen for informing us of something we all can concretely do. Filing a complaint against these corrupt judges. In these situations it is easy to fall into despair and apathy.
Both of those justices need to not only recuse but should also get OFF the court period. They are liars and think they are above ANY law. They are FILTH and clearly UNAMERICAN in both thought and action.

Allowing a single party to bring in a SC justice should be removed. This should be by an independent body with no affiliation.
Judges Alito and Thomas should be removed ASAP from the Supreme Court. They are not fit to stay in their positions.
