It occurred to me last night that Lorne Michaels, Cinco Paul and the Schmigadoon team should mount a live, Broadway version of Schmigadoon. They already did their market research, and they know the Apple version did better than expected. Many of us wanted it in a “binge” format-so we’d sit still for a stage version. They could develop plot points and characters based on what the Apple Audience wanted to pursue. The choreography would work on stage, so they wouldn’t have to rework much of that. I think they’d freakin’ rake it in. I’d go see it!
My friend and I were talking about the EXACT same thing last night! She said she wished they could make it a live show but keep the same cast. I agree it could be adapted for the stage. All 6 episodes of season 1 would run about the same length as any other musical. Especially if you only include the episode lengths but take out the extra time that would be in the opening/closing credits. If we don’t get a season 2 though, I hope they will consider this. Schmigadoon on Broadway, here we go!!
Yes to all of this!! If they can't do a full blown open-ended run thing, at least a one or two night concert benefiting BC/EFA or something. I hope that happens!!!

Hey. Unfortunately my silly intermet messed up during your stream last night. I was the one who asked about StarKid. I do think you may like it, but beware, it can be addicting. Once I saw one show, I was hooked and continued down that rabbit hole. Yes, I do think they would make for entertaining reaction videos. Just a word of warning, they are not kid friendly due to language and some other more adult things so I wouldn't have the kiddos see them. That's just a friendly suggestion. Otherwise, I think it would be fun.
