Marc! When you gave Izzy B her shout out she literally fell off the couch! She’s showing her choir director tomorrow - so you made her night!!!
A special thank you for paying such wonderful tribute to Ken & Gavin…
We had the extreme pleasure to meet both of them multiple times and their impact was immeasurable!
Their fame never went to their heads - they kept that wide eyed love of the theater from when they were teens until they left us. They were both as genuine, kind and loving to their audiences as they were talented and that is saying a lot!
Keep up the great work!!!
Bravo!!!
Always a Thursday treat
Have to tell your friends and neighbors!!!!! Co-workers!!!!!
Maybe a play category again!!!!
Argh! Wiped out my entire $10.8K bankroll on Final Jeopardy! Really hard! Great job as always.
One of my favorite Ken Page characters is lesser known, but King Gator in All Dogs Go To Heaven is my earliest memory of him.
Thanks so much for picking my category suggestion this week! That was fun! I can’t believe I missed 2 of those, but I did much better in this game over all. I made $5200! 🥰
Definitely need to see Rocky Horror in real life. I went in college and it was one of my favorite memories!
I've watched several episodes but this is the first time I've kept track of my money. I wagered $0 for Final Jeopardy and came away with $5,600. Looking forward to next week.
THE PRODUCERS CLIP WITH ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER PLAYING HAHAHHAHAHA
these are so entertaining, informative and impactful
Woohoo! In at 38mins! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!
Jesus Christ Superstar- i gotta see that version! Wow! Australia 1992 is my favorite
RIP Ken Page - that question made me choke up a little 😢
So I saw The Rocky Horror Show revival on broadway just 3 weeks before 9/11. At the time, I wasn’t cultured and my friends that took me to see Rocky Horror assumed I was aware of the film. I remember being horrified that people were yelling at the late Dick Cavett. Fortunately, it was explained to me at intermission. A year later, once I left high school, I joined my first Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast. The following year I was also cast as a phantom in the stage version of the musical. I went on to help organize and produce multiple new shadow cast productions, but performing Dr Scott and Trixie (Lips) were always favorites. I’ve also made thousands of prop bags for the shadowcasts and stage shows alike. If you’ve never experienced Rocky Horror with a live cast, there will be many opportunities as Halloween approaches. And Marc, now that I know this about you we gotta go to see it in a movie theatre some day. The LDOD cast in Atlanta is a favorite and I’ve seen them in their home theater and also at DragonCon. Highly recommend if you have the opportunity! 💋
Love playing!! Thanks!
Before the final round, I had $6,600. Great categories as always!
A category I really want, but know it would reveal I watch the show is Hazbin Hotel, or even adult animated musical category would be fun for the adults.
Edmond from Royal Oak MI… I was cruising through the first four categories and then I only got two right in the last category and I blew the final Jeopardy. My final score… A whopping $800 but thanks for a great quiz once again. Theatre nerds of the world unite.
I think the following would be fun categories:
leads that aren't human
Props you can eat
Props that can fly
Unusual or notable modes of transportation
Books important to characters
Musicals that lasted longer than their season's tony for best musical
Wedding belles (shows with a bride or wedding)
Name the character based on the costume
2000. The one time I didn’t guess Porgy and Bess as a Gershwin musical, is when it was Porgy and Bess. And I’m kicking myself calling Mordrid “Morgan” when I knew that wasn’t right. But then I got Catherine of Aragon right.
5000 (lost 800 on final). Went to a RHPS midnight show way back in the early 80's, was quite an eye-opener for small-town Iowa boy.
Thank you for not using the North West Lion King clip lol😂
Final tally: $5,000. My weakest game yet. Got all the $200 questions and almost all the Audra McDonald questions!
5600, after losing 2200 in Final Jeopardy
Ahhh, love your show. But... dear Ken Page did not "originate the Lion" in The Wiz - that was Ted Ross (who won the Tony for it) and also sadly died too young (68). Ken was one of several who played Lion during the run.
content suggestion: Going to the Chapel. Broadway where the story feature a wedding that may or may not take place.
am I supposed to give a list of questions? I ran a Quizzo at a bar in Philly. I feel compelled to do that.
Spoiler space...
You summed up "Scandelous" perfectly. It was BAD. Like, bad...but SOMEHOW, Carolee Carmello was really good in it. That woman went to WORK.
I know 1 king of broadway & 1 queen of broadway . The monarch of Japanese culture musical , the King of Siam & the other one the queen of broadway or should I say the queen of burlesque Gypsy rose Lee .
Naile Audra and Kings and Queens and got Scandalous but missed only 1
Before final jeopardy has 8800. Almost got the final question correct, I said Scandal but I knew it didn't sound right but I couldn't think of Scandolous, so ended up with 600. I think this week was a little harder than usual.
Audra!!!!!!!
Darn. I want to enjoy this game, but this week’s version disheartened me as a musical theatre newbie. Only got three questions right, and one was an educated guess
Please tell us your schedule when you saw 11 shows in 6 days. How was that done? What did you see?
missed 8.....AGAIN !
Did he say "Arendale" instead of "Arendelle"?
Hahaha. He did. He’s an idiot sometimes.
Boo. Hiss> lost all in final
