I started adulating you on hearing your interpretation and expression of Siraj Aurangabdi's, Khabar-e-Tahayyur-e-ishq. I cannot express the joy, and I will not try too also.
"Bhika, baat agham ki,
kahan sunan ki nai,
Jo jaane so kahe nai,
Jo kahe so jaane nai!"
If life gives a chance, meeting you would be a dream come true. I don't intent to speak, discuss or listen you in person - as that I believe is too magnanimous a picture to paint. I wish I can see you in person, and take your blessings. Your soul radiates that energy, love and fire which is equal to none.
Uski kurbat me ajab doori hai,
Aadmi hai hoke, khuda lagta hai.
My sincere respect to your father, Munshi Raziuddin saahab. His essence shines in you and Abu Sir. Listening to, "Bhala hua mori gagri" with all three of you together, is a privilege. May his soul rest in peace.
As you are singing Ghalib in "Taskeen ko hum.." here - I will only capture the emotion by saying that you do justice to Ghalib. When you sing, "Tujhse to kuch kalaam nai.." - the heart pours out. Its truly magical and a personal moment for me and I am sure for many others. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will frame it this way - Knowing you has now added a strange calmness in the mind, such that it craves lesser. You are therapeutic.

Fareed and Abu are as good as nusrat and other well famed artists. Nothing to take away from nusrat and others though. Brilliant execution.
Ek hotaa hai gaana "gaana" aur ek hota hai gaana "Jeena"!! Yeh jeene walon me se hai.
Umesh Bapat true. theirs is a real passion from within and is reflected in their recital. this makes it more powerful, not so much the often loud performances.
Yes and seems they live to the values of fakiri too. No show off nothing fancy about their presentation - right from the heart. They are very learned as well and that's what keep them grounded.
I don’t like vocal pitch of Nusrat sb or Rahat sb. It sounds feminist - nothing against them. Just personal choice.

@@Prism684 I really respect your choice and opinion. I'd just like to say that Fareed Sahab is a maestro in Sufi kalam, the way he recites them is on another level, he gives these Sufism kalams a true touch.
Whereas, Nusrat Sahab is a complete package, he's a master in Sufi, Darbari, Qalandari all types of kalams. You cannot simply compare one legend to another, they both have their own significance. Music has no boundaries, they were never set by anyone but us.
The era in which Fareed Sahab is presenting such masterpieces is quite different from the era of Nusrat Sahab. Back in the day they didn't have such quality equipment, even if you listen to older recordings of Munshi Sahab (Fareed Sahab's father) you can tell how the sound quality isn't as good, doesn't mean he wasn't as good. Waqt waqt ki baat hai, lekin baat wohi hai, samaj jayen. JazakAllah 🙏🏽❤️

The ghazal is a favourite, I was thrilled merely at reading that it is being performed by farid ayaz and then what a rendition!! Had heard it sung once before by Malika pukhraj but this was toatally different.

Also, grammatically, it should be بَلِّغي سلامي but that would make the she'r go out of vazn.

Subhan Allah, for the first time in life I heard Naatia poetry well fitting in ghazal. It seems poet writes down ghazal but in fact they are saying Naat. A new dimension.
The best rendition of this Ghalib ghazal I have ever heard. The nostalgia of the poem is amplified by the selection of the Raag, and beautifully captured by the emotion in the voice of the Ustads!
