subhanallah , this penetrates into every sinew and cell in the body. I would never have believed music had that ability, but experiencing it myself, it is the closest thing to magic one can get.

Amir Khusrow died in 1325 which means in seven years time this song will be atleast 700 years old! Just think about that, how many kindoms rose and fell, two-countries emerged who lay claim to khusrow himself. So many kings, politicians we don't remember most of them yet we remember the poet and sing his songs. He wrote of god and longing and love. There might be a lesson for all of us hidden there about what lives long and what dies. As to this song modern day hindi/urdu owes a lot to songs like this, Khusrow's lyrics established popular medium for the people with these songs mixing Avadhi and Bhojpuri with persian influences. Chaap Tilak~~ Zindabad in the real sense of the word

@@sahilchawla9339 The devotee or the admirer always loses in any love affair but he/she eventually wins because they've already reached a place where they don't know the difference between winning or losing.. I listen to this 45 min of epicness...while I travel for my an hr long trip to my class... and don't listen to it every day just because I am afraid that my love for this song will be lost... that's why I listen to it once or twice a month... it's over a year now .. and I still get the same feeling for this song as I am listening to it for the first time. ❤️
Edit (17/10/2019) - It's Been 2 years. Now I listen to it every time when I work, and guess what my Love for this is still the same ❣️ I am completely into Qwwalies now. I have a playlist called “Tsawuff” which I play every time when I start my 4-5 hour-long work session at night.
(30/11/2019) - The day I started listening to this it had 80k views and today it's 1million. I listened to this so much that I think I own around 10k views of this, literally saying. Btw my love is still the same ❤️
(6/07/2020) - So today I came to the comments sections and realized my comment on the top of this video. Thanks to all the 275 people who liked my comment so far. The views in this video stand at 1.4Million. Let me share how my life is going around this song. Of course, I still listen to this 😋 even listening to it right now. It's 4 AM right now and I have a deadline for a project to finish and I'm working. I've been following Fared Ayaz sir soulfully now. I check their Facebook for constant updates wishing myself that someday I'm gonna see them live. I really wanna meet them once in my life, I've no idea how I would react after seeing them, probably can't hold my tears. my love is still the same ❤️
(25/8/2020) - An amazing thing happened a couple of days ago now everyone in my family knows what kind of song I listen to. Today my cousin's brother asked me about what kind of song I listen to he was interested to know more about it so I gave him a 2-hour session of all the fared Ayaz songs. first I made him listen to "Piya Ghar Aaya - Coke studio" then quietly made him sit in a room and showed him this song. he listened to it and danced. I was able to see how pure his soul was sunken into this song. while he was listening to it I listened as well (felt like I'm there the first time) and the whole situation made me cry! He loved this song so much that he's been listening to it past 3 days.
(14/09/2021) - Can’t imagine it's been 4 years and I’m still listening to them. I can’t explain my love for them and the whole Tasawuff channel ❤️ Fareed Ayaz and Abu Muhammad Ji are one of the best things that happened to my life.
(29/04/2022) - It's been 7 months since my last update and as some of been asking for it so here we go with another update :) btw thank you all for keeping this alive for years. I love you all ❤️. I don't usually share my life on the internet - kind of an introvert myself, but after seeing all the love this comment is getting and having a small sacred fan base (hoping to keep it that way) I feel very comfortable sharing some of my personal things here.... well I've my life has taken a major turn... It's been very hard for the past few weeks. I've had a breakup around 48 days ago, we were together for 6 years a long time, huh, She was my childhood sweetheart. There was nothing going bad with any of us it's just that my life is filled with so many issues that it started to ruin hers a long time ago. I had no one besides me but her for the past 6 years. I would not go into any more detail about my breakup let's come back to this masterpiece... as I've told you the past few days had been hard and it has affected every aspect of my life and especially one of my sacred spaces which was my work....my work has a few artistic aspects and I miss those days when I was able to go hours without being distracted. I'm losing interest in almost everything... I think I've developed some sort of ADHD so to fix that I've tried almost everything.. meditation... going for walks... reading books... nothing worked... and my last option left was this channel Tsawuff

Listening to this masterpiece as a 17 year adolescent in 2025, i feel how art transcends time, this year would mark 700 years of Amir Khusrou's death but his name and his art still prevails. Feeling blessed how I am born on this soil. Our land went through the history. Kingdoms rose, kingdoms fell. Our motherland got fragmented but the art transcends boundaries. I think we Indians are a bit at the backhand while associating ourselves with Qawwali, but it is our own creation, the language is ours, the creator is ours, the art is our indigenous form.

the reason this song resonates with you is bcoz just like the body satiates it's hunger with food, the soul is starving for tasawwuf (mysticism) to satiate it's hunger. The body gravites towards the earth, the more you feed it, the heavier it gets and gravitates towards the earth, becoming enslaved to base desires, jealousy, materialism, etc. Whereas, the soul gravitates towards the heaven, the more you feed it with spirituality, the lighter it gets and rises towards the heaven, un-burdening man from desire and want.
I'm a student of tasawwuf myself and love connecting with such like minded people.

@@meco4068 to be quite honest, I feel torn with how Qawwali been exposed to the west. This was our beautiful secret. This was what I would hear my father quietly sing to himself as he drove the car. Our what my mother would sing as she made dinner in the kitchen. Our music. Our connection to this is deeper than just music. I became fluent in Urdu in large part due to these kalaams. I even learned some Farsi thru these kalaams. This music is close to the hearts of all Pakistanis. We don't even call this "singing". This is RECITING and even tho it sounds beautiful, the true beauty is in the WORDS. Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti, Hz Nizamuddin Auliya, Data Saab. These men brought Islam to our lands. They were not from Pakistan. They traveled there and spread Islam thru their poetry. They saved us and people like ustad Farid Ayaz Qawwaland his ancestors have kept their memory alive. I could go on and on but it wouldn't be enough. This is our soul.

    • @meco4068
      @meco4068 2 года назад +2

@@AS-vq3wt So, you're upset that music/poetry that isn't even Pakistani but brought Islam to Pakistan has been imported to the West after having been imported to Pakistan?
My ex is Pakistani, and the relationship was mostly beatings, manipulation and extreme control - Qawwali is the only decent thing I was able to take from a life of domestic abuse, which is sadly the experience of many wives, cousins and lovers of Pakistani men. I guess this is the other not-so-secret secret import to the West.
The other issue with your being torn is the fact that as an Islamic country, many, many scholars in Pakistan and beyond would say that Qawwali is a sin, and those who listen to it and claim it as a part of Islam should be legally punished according to Sharia law and will later burn in hell for all eternity.
As you've started, this beautiful tradition that has, in part, been preserved by Pakistan does not belong to Pakistan and isn't even Pakistani.
I suppose many should be grateful that Qawwali creates a positive connection to Pakistan as the overall opinion of most of the world is not a good one.

I extremely rarely comment on RUclips but this pure experience closest to heaven forced my mind, body and soul to come and mention how many times tears just spontaneously rolled over my cheeks listening to this amalgamation of so many languages woven into such soul stirring words and such surrendering music and such hypnotizing singing.. Thank you for the most beautiful 45 min in a long long time..🙏🙏🙏

The best thing about this is the number of amazing artists in there. The young lad at 14:30, Hamza at 19:30, and others at various points, promise that the legacy of Munshi sahab goes beyond these two genius brothers. As music lovers, we should be thanking them (and this channel!) for preserving this magical tradition for all of us.

This music puts one into an immediate haal of joyous longing for the Beloved. As an Egyptian, I cannot understand the words but their spirits reach me nonetheless and they are beautiful. I was moved to write this poem of praise for this great Qawwal, may Allah ta’ala bless him and his family with what He blesses His awliya.
Listen to the lover, the unique, Ayyaz /
Of what he attained from the grace of the Beloved and won /
The hearts quiver from the beauty of his praising /
And spirits are in ecstasy, their drunkenness allowed.
