Listening to this masterpiece as a 17 year adolescent in 2025, i feel how art transcends time, this year would mark 700 years of Amir Khusrou's death but his name and his art still prevails. Feeling blessed how I am born on this soil. Our land went through the history. Kingdoms rose, kingdoms fell. Our motherland got fragmented but the art transcends boundaries. I think we Indians are a bit at the backhand while associating ourselves with Qawwali, but it is our own creation, the language is ours, the creator is ours, the art is our indigenous form.

Irish man. Raised roman Catholic, always felt it was a cold, uncaring, unfulfilling experience going to church. But this. THIS. THIS IS SPIRITUALITY. this is beauty, truth and feeling. I can feel the love. I cant understand, yet, i understand. Love you all.
the reason this song resonates with you is bcoz just like the body satiates it's hunger with food, the soul is starving for tasawwuf (mysticism) to satiate it's hunger. The body gravites towards the earth, the more you feed it, the heavier it gets and gravitates towards the earth, becoming enslaved to base desires, jealousy, materialism, etc. Whereas, the soul gravitates towards the heaven, the more you feed it with spirituality, the lighter it gets and rises towards the heaven, un-burdening man from desire and want. I'm a student of tasawwuf myself and love connecting with such like minded people.

I'm Italian Canadian, and the only word I can pick out and understand is "Haq - truth"...and the truth is you don't need to understand a single word, Qawwali speaks right to the heart! Pure Bliss...this was MINDBLOWING! Blessings to all!
Canadian by birth. Pakistani by heritage. I thank God for my motherland 🇵🇰 and for the humble ones who keep the words of the great saints and poets alive. Hz Amir Khusrau (RA) is alive and well in 2022. May he live on for a thousand years more. God bless those of the Chisti Order. AMEEN 🙏🏽
@@AS-vq3wt I wish that here in the West, we saw more of this side of Pakistani culture. People always focus on the negative, yet there is so much beauty and wonder in this musical tradition.
@@meco4068 to be quite honest, I feel torn with how Qawwali been exposed to the west. This was our beautiful secret. This was what I would hear my father quietly sing to himself as he drove the car. Our what my mother would sing as she made dinner in the kitchen. Our music. Our connection to this is deeper than just music. I became fluent in Urdu in large part due to these kalaams. I even learned some Farsi thru these kalaams. This music is close to the hearts of all Pakistanis. We don't even call this "singing". This is RECITING and even tho it sounds beautiful, the true beauty is in the WORDS. Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti, Hz Nizamuddin Auliya, Data Saab. These men brought Islam to our lands. They were not from Pakistan. They traveled there and spread Islam thru their poetry. They saved us and people like ustad Farid Ayaz Qawwaland his ancestors have kept their memory alive. I could go on and on but it wouldn't be enough. This is our soul.
@@AS-vq3wt So, you're upset that music/poetry that isn't even Pakistani but brought Islam to Pakistan has been imported to the West after having been imported to Pakistan? My ex is Pakistani, and the relationship was mostly beatings, manipulation and extreme control - Qawwali is the only decent thing I was able to take from a life of domestic abuse, which is sadly the experience of many wives, cousins and lovers of Pakistani men. I guess this is the other not-so-secret secret import to the West. The other issue with your being torn is the fact that as an Islamic country, many, many scholars in Pakistan and beyond would say that Qawwali is a sin, and those who listen to it and claim it as a part of Islam should be legally punished according to Sharia law and will later burn in hell for all eternity. As you've started, this beautiful tradition that has, in part, been preserved by Pakistan does not belong to Pakistan and isn't even Pakistani. I suppose many should be grateful that Qawwali creates a positive connection to Pakistan as the overall opinion of most of the world is not a good one. Khuda Hafiz

What a rhythm ! What a classical collaboration ! Wonderful Qawal I have heard hundreds of times this Ameer Khusro's famous celebrated kalam but this Qawal Party is extra exceptional with real spiritual sufi element as if they are singing in the precinct of Hazrat Nizam Ud Din Aulyia Mehboob e Elahi : Subhaan Allah and Masha Allah [ wonderful work ]
I'm in the middle of writing my PhD and this acts more like a mental dose for me. I come here at least once a month to please my ears. Strong respect for this artists and every supportive viewer for your beautiful taste of music
Aadaab Ustaad ji Insha Allah, I never heard your music, I am a music lover and trained singer, not performer of course, being student of classical music, all Gharanas, all artists are my fav, I love quwalis, Gazals, instrumentals, my Guruji, once told me Khalish Urdu bolna sikho Baad main gazal, but your tears rolling for Krishna bridged the invisible gap between two counties. Artists are like children, they do not know religion, politics etc. If I could have opportunity to sit before you and listen and learn from you. Aaap hazaron saal zinda rahe, eise talim dilate rahein. Ramadan ki mahina hai, Iftar ki waqut ho gayee. Allah Hafiz.
Khuda hafiz.

Dr Madhumita Devi The love, and knowledge Indians have of Music and the respect you give to the Musicians when it comes to the real Music, is much more then Pakistanies but you guys always have to look towards Pakistanies to give you the Best.
I extremely rarely comment on RUclips but this pure experience closest to heaven forced my mind, body and soul to come and mention how many times tears just spontaneously rolled over my cheeks listening to this amalgamation of so many languages woven into such soul stirring words and such surrendering music and such hypnotizing singing.. Thank you for the most beautiful 45 min in a long long time..🙏🙏🙏

The best thing about this is the number of amazing artists in there. The young lad at 14:30, Hamza at 19:30, and others at various points, promise that the legacy of Munshi sahab goes beyond these two genius brothers. As music lovers, we should be thanking them (and this channel!) for preserving this magical tradition for all of us.
This is conversion song by Amir Khusro. I snatched तिलक and छाप of Hindus ( i.e. converted them to Islam ) just by staring at them - sufi saint Nizamuddin.

Respect the fact that traditional music still respects the individual in the team. Goes with out saying that this recording is just a glimpse in the galaxy.
This music puts one into an immediate haal of joyous longing for the Beloved. As an Egyptian, I cannot understand the words but their spirits reach me nonetheless and they are beautiful. I was moved to write this poem of praise for this great Qawwal, may Allah ta’ala bless him and his family with what He blesses His awliya. Listen to the lover, the unique, Ayyaz / Of what he attained from the grace of the Beloved and won / The hearts quiver from the beauty of his praising / And spirits are in ecstasy, their drunkenness allowed.

These brothers have done a great service to retaining some old, traditional qawwalis. Their expertise of Hindustani classical music really tells them apart.
I'm 27 years old, typical Bangladeshi Baul music lover. I found these guys from Ajab Shahar:Kabir project. Now I listen to them for hours, they never get tired and all the emotion and devotion slowly runs through my soul. I'm grateful to you people 🌸
The best thing about the duo is the fact that they have excellent command over languages including Urdu, Arabic, Persian and English and references from anecdotes from past like Mansoor and Allama Shibli etc
Tasawwuf I heard another version with Ustaad Munshi Raziudding leading the party and there was a recurrence of Naina re Naina which was beyond any performance :) the family is blessed and chosen

It's 2:28 AM, I am listening to this masterpiece
Listening to this masterpiece as a 17 year adolescent in 2025, i feel how art transcends time, this year would mark 700 years of Amir Khusrou's death but his name and his art still prevails. Feeling blessed how I am born on this soil. Our land went through the history. Kingdoms rose, kingdoms fell. Our motherland got fragmented but the art transcends boundaries. I think we Indians are a bit at the backhand while associating ourselves with Qawwali, but it is our own creation, the language is ours, the creator is ours, the art is our indigenous form.
Aaj pehli baar mujhe pakistan ke bichhadne pe rona aa rha hai. Love for pakistani people who have this type of matchless pride.

This is the beauty of indianic cultures
It convert everything into spirituality
From bhakti to kawali
From mediation to yoga

This music puts one into an immediate haal of joyous longing for the Beloved. As an Egyptian, I cannot understand the words but their spirits reach me nonetheless and they are beautiful. I have watched this video more than a thousand times. And I will keep on watching this. Everytime getting same dopamine rush.
The harmonium skill prowess is presented at its best - you do not feel like missing a single word. Commendable!
exactly right sir
Chap tilak is a beautiful kalam in itself but they present this kalam like a master craftman with no parallel.
glad you enjoyed it. they are truly very good with this
Thank you for posting this amazing piece of soulful music
Must say one of the best version of Chaap Tilak!! Soulful! Love from India
Universal Truth

I'm leaving this comment here so that after a month or a year later when someone likes it, I get reminded of listening to this song again.
Thank you to the one who liked this comment and I get to listen to this masterpiece once again.

salamti h poori team ki
Wow! What poetry, 4 eyes met - 2 won and 2 lost. Sublime ❤️
I'm grateful to you people 🌸
Jadu Tona... pure and simple.. it is hypnotic.. I watched it twice back to back and still not recovered.
27:26 to 27:27 My god what a transition..really amazing , ustad sab literally cut that note like a razor sharp ...
The best thing about the duo is the fact that they have excellent command over languages including Urdu, Arabic, Persian and English and references from anecdotes from past like Mansoor and Allama Shibli etc
Ahmed Mobashshir Yes knowledgable plus are passionate about what they do and obviously quite expressive. All the above makes them stand out.
Tasawwuf I heard another version with Ustaad Munshi Raziudding leading the party and there was a recurrence of Naina re Naina which was beyond any performance :) the family is blessed and chosen
Ahmed Mobashshir :-) did you also listen to the Kabir Center one from 2007. that's the infamous 42 min one with lots of girahs and quite powerful .
Tasawwuf I don't recollect the gathering but it was uploaded on SoundCloud by someone. If you have link, kindly share and would be thankful
It’s 2:00AM , still I listening this masterpiece..continuesly❤❤❤ love from India
