As a 15 year boy i think that Iam quiet mature because iam interested in this type of master peice and loving ❤️ the voice of ustad farid ayaz sahab ❤💓
feel sorry for the current and upcoming generation who don't appreciate for this kind of music. It requires years of dedication to achieve this kind of skills. I doubt anyone will do it.
Bhai don't be sad about it. There has always been a niche audience for traditional qawwali and there always will be. If anything it is growing with the population. Mostly the real followers and viewers are at Dargahs.
"Uspe nazar jab zam jati hai, fir nahi janchta koi nazar me", this is my favorite line in this video. Same is true for Qawwali music. Once you are into this world, very difficult to appreciate other kind of music. Same is true for love (both material and spiritual). Once you connect to the right person/concept, very difficult to be attracted to anyone else.
I swear to God and all His prophets, without Islam and the Muslims, India would literally be nothing. We civilized the Hindus with our poetry and love for Allah and his final Prophet (SAW). It will always love in the shadow of Islam. Alhamdullilah.
I'm a Bengali from Bangladesh 🇧🇩. I don't know why I love Pakistani Qawalli songs so much . I don't understand much but still love to listen them. True music ❤️
I keep returning to this video. It warms my heart to see it crossing seven figures in views. I still remember the day it was released. It was morning here. I was still in my bed, lazing around, having just woken up. I checked my phone and the notification popped up. Throwing away my blanket, I jumped out, washed my face, put on my earphones and listened to it in one go--I was enchanted. Coincidentally, I had been listening to Raziuddin Sahab's version on repeat just a couple of days back (it has been removed from YT for some reason). That version has the two brothers flanking their father, and is charmingly full of "masti", like old women reminiscing in a wedding. This version is more classically inclined. And taken together, they illustrate the wide range Qawwali can convey. That year ( 2017), I had passed 12th grade and failed the engineering entrance exam (JEE), so I had decided to drop a year to re-prepare. As any Indian High Schooler and his entire extended family will tell you, studying for JEE is very taxing, and this Qawwali was my anchor during that time. A friend would often accompany back home from the JEE coaching on my scooter. He would sit puzzled behind me because while I drove I would keep singing parts of this qawwali, repeating the refrain and "Dil Burd Az Man". My choice of music was so foreign to him that he was convinced that the exam had taken a toll on me and a few screws in my head had come loose. He still mentions this on the rare occasions we are in the same city and meet up. Over the years, I have tried to introduce many people to this beguiling art form, but alas, very few have paid attention, and those that have had only developed a fleeting interest. It makes me feel lonely sometimes. But then I come back here and see that there are about a million and more souls keeping me company. This particular Qawwali has comforted me during very stormy times. It holds a special place in my heart that no piece of music will ever take, like the memory of the first person you fall in love with. Perhaps Fareed Sahab put it the best: "My beloved has occupied a chamber of my heart, that is where he dwells, not in front of the world."

Bhai jaan. The sheer walls of Munshi Manzil are entrenched in Raags and Kalams. You will enter in a trance and leave in a trance! Welcome!! May you be blessed always! Ameen!
Such beautiful recitals are rare. Especially because of the combination of verses combined with the knowledge and taleem of foundation of the compositions. Note how effortlessly he moves onto the bandish "Langar turak jeena chhoove re.. morii gagariya bhaari " at 11.39 and then comes back to the original.
Good question. In a small baithak it is often seen that without ending a kalam formally qawwals will move on to the next one that they would like to sing. It is said that this isn't exactly planned but happens as an "amad" or a direction that comes to them. Moving on to a different tune or composition isn't exactly easy but masters can do it with raags that are close in structure. In our particular case as editors we need to therefore end it where the qawwals move on to the next item. This is of course less common in concert type settings where they end and wait for an applause and then move to the next with a gap.

To my misfortune I had never realised that 'jaan-e-jahan' actually meant 'life of the world' as of yet inspite of having heard it throughout my life. What a beautiful praise, my eyes my ears and my heart feel refreshed. To whoever made it happen i thank you❤
This guy needs International exposure. Amazing Artist, atlast I found someone to fill the void created by untimely death of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali khan. Live forever Ustad Farid Ayaz. I played this song 20 times today, just cannot get enough it.

Forget everything and understand the essence of it all. He has been well taught by true masters. Those who truly understand the purpose of all of this. ONE message!

it's a shame you don't know who the poet is referring to when he speaks of his "groom". That's why people like you will never see past the surface. Music from the soul to the soul. They don't need auto-tuning, editing, voice softening. What a enchanting music and the level of dedication, purely out of universe. I left listening any form of music after hearing qawwali.
Loved the explanation /clarification by farid sahib about the lineage of our Master and Prophet(صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم). He is right. From Adam (peace be upon him) till my Master(peace be upon him) none of the forefathers of my Master (peace be upon him) were non believers. اللھم صل علی محمّد ن النبی الامی و علی آلہ و صحبہ و بارک و سلم
There's a magic in his voice, sometimes when i don't even understand a single word but that touches my heart and i just can't stop tears.... What's this man!... I can't even understand what happens with me when i listen his qawalis..... Amazing rendition 😶😶
Nothing.. nothing can be more beautiful than this marvellous piece of art❤️❤️❤️...loads of love to the younger ones also.. they too have such lovely voice❤️
Masha Allah I'm glad to see that he is sticking to the truth that the forefathers of the Prophet Muhammad SAWA is not disbelievers , My Nabi comes from pure linage Alhumdulillah 💚💚💚❤
Around 1:20 when fareed sahab swing his head in masti and sings " ay jan e jahan aarzo e roye to daram " is just superb .. and later around 11:35 when he start the bandish what can be better than this. The only recordings i have seen where qawwal themseleves are enjoying as much as the listeners this is what DREAM JOURNEY brings out and i think only they can do.. thank you Dream journey

No one can beat pakistani sufi music😍

I don't think this way anyone can sing and such type of lyrics can be written. Those days was really amazing when this type of lyrics were written.
