Roma, a great review, as usually! I own the Pocket 3 and planning to wait for Action 5 since I don't really need action camera right now. The Action can be a good backup camera for the Pocket during bad weather conditions as you said and also it's a good choice for multicam footage
Hi so i was considering this both cameras but i wanted to know if it would be worth buying the osmo pocket 3 since i already have a gimbal that i can use for the osmo action 4 (Crane M2S) would this help the stabilization and quality for cinematic videos? thanks! (I mainly want it for low light videos)
That seems to be the case, but maybe someone will be able to replace it. If you can replace a battery on a modern phone, then I'm sure it's also possible with the Pocket 3.

I need an important advice from you. For architectural (interior and exterior) videography and photography, which is better? Also, will it be possible to image the architectural elements in the houses without distortion? Action 4 price is low but FOV not narrowed than pocket 3. Can we used attached lesses for fix it?
I cant decide between the 2. Wish i could afford both. I was originally leaning more towards the pocket 3 but I think I could achieve the same thing with the action 4 by adding a gimbal to it.
The Action 4 with a gimbal might work, but it will be much bulkier than the Pocket 3. The Pocket 3 also has autofocus, a bigger sensor, and tracking features. Just some food for thought.
What lav mic can you recommend for action 4? For cycling videos on an ebike in the city or nature. Looking for a clear voice and some ambient souonds. Recording with two mics possible?
I use the Rode Lavalier II and it sounds really good, but the build quality is flimsy. Maybe you can take a look at the DJI Lav mic? I'm not sure how to connect two mics to a camera.. Maybe you can do it with a splitter?
I don’t know why nobody says about Action 4 that it has Narrow view at 1080.I film only like that and the picture looks natural.Standart is a bit distorted

Slightly. It's barely visible because the minimum focus distance is far, at 40cm, and the camera has a wide-angle field of view. The pocket 3 is much better for this as shown in the video.
I don't think that this is a good idea because of the added depth of field. It'll make the minimum focus distance even further and I'm not sure if this is something you'd want on an action camera.
Just because it's an extra device doesn't mean it's worse. I actually prefer it this way. Also, the iPhone doesn't have a built-in gimbal, and it's double the price. I still use an old iPhone XR and I am more than satisfied with it. I don't feel like upgrading just because of the camera. If I'm spending $1000 on a phone for its camera features, I'd rather buy an actual camera for this price or even cheaper that will deliver much better results than an iPhone 15... @@jaymills1720
@@jaymills1720using your iPhone as your main recording device also means that you're constantly using its battery for filming, you have a mix of casual pictures/videos with "project" content (which makes organization harder), and you aren't able to use the phone part of your smartphone when filming.

I can't really say for certain. My guess is about 4-5 years.
Have you managed to minimize the problem of ugly baseball bat-shaped flares with Action 4? ND filter, polarizing filter?
I don't know about this issue. My Freewell ND filters work just fine.
So if we have to shoot music videos .. pocket 3 would be a better option or shall we go for cameras like canon or sony 6700 etc ?
For music videos a mirrorless camera would be a much better option.

Yeah, that's understandable. I recommend Freewell ND filters, I've made a video about them on my channel.
