David, thank you for the comment and support. It might be surprising how man Karting and big racers actually do RC racing as well. We have several locally for sure.
Awesome RC Dad and thank you for the support. Funny you mention the 1RC cars, the video coming up this week is a review video of all the 1RC cars as well as some racing footage and I'll be covering some 1RC racing in the near future as well.
Thats great you definitely have great coverage of a wide variety of rc racing I race at Cherokee Rc Racing in Gaffney its an indoor carpet oval alot of fun racing.
@@Ithasaname I'm not sure how I missed this comment. I think the RUclips notifications let me down sometimes. But that's awesome. Hope you've been having a blast with the 1RC cars!
I've raced many different classes with various rules over the years. Open gear, set gear, set spur open pinion etc. I have no preference really. If it's a "spec" style class a set spur and open pinion seems to help because no two motors are the same.
There are so many platforms and manufacturers. Latemodel there's GFRP, Custom Works, all kits you have to build or Latemodels run on the buggy platforms as well like the associated B6. Depending on what purpose you want with it will determine which better suits your needs. Your local RC Hobby store can help point you in the direction as well or busy the websites of the manufacturers I mentioned above. Other than the 1RC 1/18 scale cars none really come boxed ready to go as a Latemodel. Also if you wanted to watch my 21.5 Latemodel build video series available on the channel will talk about some of this as well. Thank you for checking out the channel.
Stephen it varies so much bud. Depending on manufacturer and such. You can pick up a used setup artr for good deals I've seen. If you build new of course you're likely aware of cost.
@@stephenaiken16 it really does vary so much to the point it's hard to give a price for a RTR 21.5. Rare to find a rtr combo (radio, car, electronics, batteries, charger, tires etc) you'd be looking at likely a complete sellout at that point which wouldn't be cheap. Common to find an artr setup (car, motor, battery, tires just need to add your remote and receiver) you can run across those for around $300 to $500 depending on various things. Best advice I can give is look local in the classified ads on facebook and our corresponding local race pages and dirt oval classifieds and such.
Td Minecraft I can understand that. We have a few racers that race big cars and RC cars. Time is key I suppose and they race RC when they aren't or can't race their big speedway cars.
Pretty cool seeing those karting guys (Dowell and Miller) running RC

Thank you for the great coverage! This track surface looks like so much fun. I nice amount of slick to stick ratio!

What are your thoughts with open gearing in any class?

I want to do this but I’m worried I’m not gonna have time to do it and race full size cars
