Watching this on my Note 9. I came from an S8 Plus. It's as good as the S8+. But bigger battery, 8GB of RAM (Jesus Crist), new snapdragon processor, 512 GB, UHD 60FPS and so much more. Its absolutely crazy how good this Note 9 is. In my opinion, S8 Plus is great too. But if you want a few other features, and if you need them, do it. If not. S10 coming soon for you all.

Frankly, I saw nothing that would convince me or anyone who's reasonable to spend $1,000-$1,250. These opening "tests" don't mean anything, what's important is actual workflow and in gaming FPS and render quality. The biggest bottleneck is 4GB vs 8GB assuming the Note 9 512GB. My wife has the Note 9 512GB from the Note 8 64GB .. for her she's an Instagram feen with videos and the 64GB was too small. However, otherwise she barely notice the difference.
Nice vid! Did you do a factory reset on the s8? I got the s8+ but it's definitely not that fast anymore. Got a lot of lag most of the time. Been thinking about a factory reset to see if that makes a difference. Been considering getting the note 9 next month.
Awesome video... easy decision.. just saved me a grand. The Note 9 is pretty clearly faster slightly.. but for 95 percent of my use they are way too close. The S-pen isn't that important to me either. Also did you factory reset the S8 plus? That made a big difference for me, first time in a year and a half or since new I've done it... it fixed any lag and improved the battery life significantly.
My S8+ still runs great and plays Pubg Mobile great with no lag at all. Just bought a Note 8 yesterday and will be switching it over to my service when I sell my S8+. But I use my phone mainly for watching media as I am averaging 5hrs of youtube a day and I play Pubg Mobile. I love having this amazing Super Amoled QHD+ display. I always wanted a Note 8 and I found a amazing deal on one for $350.

Nick you need to get rid of that film screen protector on the Note , it looks terrible. Get a whitestone dome screen protector on that bad boy. I know you've got a lot of Galaxies but they're the best you can get and you won't need to drop any videos about micro scratches.
They ought to change the name to Zagg orange peel because that's what it looks like with the screen off as seen at 0:59 , too be fair it even shows up when the screen is on as well but only when the light hits it at the right angle 1:02 . I'm pretty sure the S pen would feel better with the whitestone Dome rather than the Zagg as well.
that pink tint on the S8 plus thats something that can happen over time with oled displays according to rtings. my panasonic plasma has a smiliar issues the whites can be pinkish at times

@@Ainawi Samsung won't force you to do anything especially as you can change the battery so you won't need to worry about throttling (APPLE), I still use an S5 when I go mountain biking and it still get the job done. Won't take my S9 plus out tho even if it is insured.

I currently using my S5 on a Lineage OS 15.1 Android 8.1.1 ;) it just breathed some more life into it, plus I am contributing less to environmental pollution😁
Oneplus 6 looks like average phone with basic display. But you'll get premium feeling and best display with s8 plus. The speed isnt different by far. Water resistance ip68 is very import.

If you want a phone that's gives you a smooth android experience and that will get android 9 within the next couple months as opposed to the next year, get the op6. Super computers in hospitals ,tech companies and military installations have software issues on systems that cost millions. Never heard of an I.T support department. There's a reason they exist.
