love my s8plus but its starting to lag and battery life isn't what it used to be, but I will wait for further s20 plus price drop. these phones are way to overpriced and not value for money
I got s9+ and s8+ and honestly so far i can use ANY app on market and it feels still quick so as long they will not come up with evolutionary change's I will stick to these two. I'm perfectly happy with them. I think it's save to say they will last at least 3 more years.
You can't really add Ultra's cameras to the S8 without also adding Ultra's ISP. Yeah, 835 was great, but there are many improvements in newer chipsets besides pure processing power, it's not fair to say that the S8 is the Ultra minus the cameras and 120Hz.
That is one of the things most people miss. It's not all about the raw power but everything it packs. The support for different codecs, how the ISP handles images, etc.

I have the s8+ and no matter how much faster the 20 ultra is it doesn't matter, the s8+ is super snappy, i never wait for anything and it plays every game. The speaker is blah but that's cuz it is waterproof and idk if that's changed in newer phone but whatever, it's a phone, the speaker is good enough. I really don't like the curved screen, i prefer flat screens and i like the more squared corners in newer phones and fully square corners in older phones, the 2017 era phones were too into the curved screens and rounded corners.
Oh yeah, and a headphone jack. Gotta have it. I just bought a tablet a7 for $200 instead of the s7 for like $700 just because of the headphone jack. Modern devices are all so fast now that even mid to low tier stuff is fast for use. Does 0.2 second really make a difference? Is $500 worth high graphics on mobile cod vs normal? Is no headphone jack worth $500, def not!
Eventhough I now have the s20+, my old s8+ was still one of the best phones I ever owned. I only upgraded because the screen burn-in was getting bad, plus it was on it's last major update.
@@andyv6299 screen burn happens because of the type of sceen and the brightness .. it burns at peak brightness when u have it on for a long period of time.

I would like to say the display on the S8+ looks great. I don't think colour science has changed much at all from Samsung in 3 years. Looking back at my Note 3, I don't think they've changed colour science for past 6 or even 7 years. Samsung phones have always had that punch. I've moved over to SONY because I've begun to appreciate more accurate colours and Samsung has never been about that. Also the S8+ has the headphone jack. Barely any UI change but a whole different UX

I bet S8 users can't wait to get rid of their headphone jack, Heart-rate sensor, more accurate fingerprint sensor, Force Touch Home Button, Dual Pixel Auto Focus and Iris Scanning. And yes you can use whatever glass screen protector I want, no holes drilled in, or compromises on the performance of the fingerprint sensor
Had S8+ for 3 years.Never had any problems with it.Battery is the same as the first day i bought it,gets thru full day without need to recharge.It's fast as it was the first day,never slowed down. This is why i stick to Samsung phones..i never had any problems with them,with any model i had.
