Hi. I love to watch your channel so many creative ideas, your voice is very calming. The bee is beautiful, great job. Also I love the rain it is so calming. I have made close and always all my curtains for the house. Keep moving forward and always enjoy what you are doing. Bless you. 😊❤.
One of the most instructional and enjoyable videos to date. I love stump-work but have never been worthy of even a try until watching you Marion. I have cloth, thread and needle and today is the day that I try my Bee. Thank you for the encouragement! God Bless you. Virginia, USA
That be turned out amazing! If I would’ve just looked at that, I would’ve been completely overwhelmed but seeing you do it a step at a time and talk us through it gives me hope that I could get good results. Always a pleasure to watch you work, I always learn something new!
I just found your channel on my search for embroidered insects. I am not an experienced embroider but seeing you work and hearing how you plan your work is so inspiring. And your slow kind way of taking makes it so encouraging. Thank you ☺️
Thank you Marion.... I am going to start my bee today.... over here in Western Australia we have a blue banded bee so I think that is the bee I will stitch. 🐝🐝🐝
I love hearing the rain. All I can hear today while crocheting with you in Texas is the air conditioner running. We’re still having hot days in the upper 80’s and 90’s Fahrenheit. We haven’t had rain in so long that we are under a burn ban. I love watching your channel!
I love to hear the sound of the rain. I also love to hear the sound of your voice it is so soothing. You are so creative and inspiring. thank you for so for your inspiration.
Fabulous, absolutely not what I usually do but I am inspired to have a go. I am looking forward to seeing you make a top without a pattern and that skirt fabric is glorious ❤
Looking forward to seeing it. I made a bee body, not the kind of stitching I am used to but it came out not too bad. I am making something with the wonky roses I did for my last Wednesday video and a bee seemed the perfect addition. I am hoping it will look better once it has legs, feelers and wings. 😂♥️
The little bee is gorgeous, and the whole piece is marvelous. Thank you for showing us this new stitching tutorial. So many uses to make! The rain sounds so good to us all. The new clothes will look awesome with those pretty fabrics you bought.
Thankyou Marion. Kathryn sent me to your channel and I love your work. Between you and Kathryn I am now looking at art with new eyes and have tons of ideas whirling around in my head. Our winter is rapidly approaching here in Costa Rica so I will soon be indoors most of the time and working on new art projects that are going to be fun to do. Keep going and keep inspiring people to step out of the box.
The sound of rain makes the video even more relaxing Marion! I love the wee bee…. I don’t think I can do one that small. Let’s see when I start stitching 😅 I am a couple weeks behind my work on the stitching journal because work got int he way. I need to get caught up this week and will post some pictures on IG when I get done….
I only did it that small because I was covering up the one underneath... You can do a giant bee if it pleased you 😅 Hope you're all well over there Cris 🤞💐
Oh Marion, your sweet bee! That s lovely… I ve never imagined myself doing stump work but somehow…you get me imagining I could possibly try it. That s one of your skills I think…I can imagine making a little clump of moss with a tiny flower on it as that s what I saw this morning when I went to hang out the washing after watching a bit more ( it s taken me all week to watch in bits, just due to being busy) . Thank goodness our rain has departed for today here in East Yorkshire….oh and re thrifting. Loved what you said about clothing that way. I ve clothed myself for the last 50 years that way since I was 16 and very rare indeed for me to buy anything new. Gives me joy to find clothes that way 🧡
Me too Lesley... There are so many beautiful things second hand ...it's always like treasure to find something that's just perfect! I hope you had a dry day today. It's been sunny here but really, really cold again....
So excited to be here for your very first bee - it turned out great! I love that based it on one of your native bees. The rain makes it sound cozy, but I’m sure one could get really tired of it (speaking from Oregon, one of those very rainy places).
The rain sounds wonderful. It has been raining here also(Texas). A perfect day to sew along with you.❤ Your bee looks like he could take flight🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
Oh Marion It turned out beautiful and your encouragement I think I want to try it. The rain soun ds so peaceful. I love you visiting us as you work ❤❤❤❤
It's a very cute bee Marion. I have to confess that I learned watching your video about the different varieties of bees. Here in Kingston Ontario Canada has been raining a lot too! Perfect weather for stitching and watching your lovely videos. Thanks Marion! ❤
I love hearing the rain while stitching. I grew up in the northeast US where we had lots of rain, but now live in the southwest where we don't get much.
Loved the sound of the rain. Living in South Africa 🇿🇦 we celebrate the rain being in such a dry continent. We had good rains this season. Absolutely love your beautiful little 🐝 🐝 ❤
Marion I just wanted to say that I also follow k3n clothtales. On her wonky wednesday she said to try your stumpbee. So I did. I’m not sure if you follow her Facebook group but I have posted a picture of my attempt there. Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial. I never thought I would be able to do something like this. Your encouragement did wonders to keep me plugging along. Our local bee is the Bumblebee. So following your directions I looked up a picture and did my best.
I watch k3n too. I'm a bit behind though. I've never been part of Facebook. I wasn't on any social media at all until I started my channel. 😅 I have got Instagram now so I can post photos etc...
Hi Marion, Your little bee is beautiful! In answer to your question. I rescue old linen and doilies and I like to make them into things like needle books, book covers, Hussif etc. It gives me great joy to see the beautiful embroidery on something and so I recycle in a sense like you. Growing up my Mother always made my clothes so I enjoy handmade things too. Thank You for sharing.
I love bees so to see you embroider one in your style was a treat. I haven’t attempted many of those. It had your lovely natural look. You are so clever when you make your flowers, birds and moths. You use all types of thread and fabric to create beautiful pictures . Your talent is endless with all of the other projects you make. Thanks for being a great teacher and sharing your talents with us. I look forward to your videos 👍🏻
Oh, I love the little bee so much. Thank you for the stumpwork lesson. My granddaughter's mascot in college is a bee so we are all about bees:) I will try to make us all a small brooch to wear. You gave me courage :)
Hi Marion, wonderful video as always 😍 Very realistic bee 🤗🤗 Loved the sound of the rain, it also sounded like a cosy fire crackling 😊We have had crazy rains here on the South Coast of OZ, my daughter lives 2 hours from us & they were deluged !!!!! A granny float 2 streets away wash washed off its foundations with 2 people inside !!! How terrifying, fortunately they were rescued & were okay would you believe !!!!! So now the big clean up for all those unfortunate people ☹☹ take care xxxxx
Yes the rain has not stopped for weeks we come away for a few days in pocklington near York England and most of the rivers have burst there banks. Away I’m laid listen to the rain on Wednesday and watching your video 👍thanks
Oh yes I really love a rainy day there's nothing more relaxing than sitting x listening to the rain coming down x even more relaxing when I'm sitting listening to the rain while I watch your vidio x sew along with you. I'm not always doing the same project that you are doing but I do sometimes x if it's not what you are doing it's usualy something you have done in a previous vidio but it's always relaxing to watch you x it's actualy been raining here this morning here in Victoria in Australia. But I always lov your vidios x never miss any so thanku for being a great teacher...
Hi Marion. Thank you for your tip on satin stitch about quartering the area then filling in. I'd never been happy with my attempts at satin stitch, but now I tried your suggestion and have made a successful attempt at a flower. ❤
Brilliant Frances. I'm happy it worked for you. I always go around thinly and then back around to fill in. You can keep going back as many times as you like, but that first go around will set the angle of the stitches and keep you right for the rest of it...
The bee turned out beautifully, so realistic. The page is looking so pretty. I've been with my daughter and grandchildren today. We had some sunny weather this afternoon. The children were fascinated with ladybirds in the garden. Especially little grandson. The sun wasn't here for long. It's pouring down now. Xx
Lovely sewing project to add to my crazy quilt; I have been looking for ways to enhance blocks that seem to have empty center areas. We are blossoming more and more with your excellent tutorials. What a magical way to change the world of so many thousands of lives by you. Thank You!
Hello Marion. Your little bee is absolutely delightful. I can almost hear it buzzing! Stump work is such a rewarding form of embroidery, and it would be really nice if it was more popular. So, thank you for demonstrating just how easy it can be to do and what fabulous results can be achieved. Have a great week, and I will be looking out for your next video.
It may be raining but your videos fill us all with ☀️ sunshine. Thank you 🙏
Thank you .. such a lovely thing to read 💐
Hi. I love to watch your channel so many creative ideas, your voice is very calming. The bee is beautiful, great job. Also I love the rain it is so calming. I have made close and always all my curtains for the house. Keep moving forward and always enjoy what you are doing. Bless you. 😊❤.
💐
I actually love a rainy day --- nothing to compel me outside and I can sit inside and stitch and be creative.
Absolutely! You don't need to make an excuse 👍
Me too! Rainy days are the best for stitching and curling up with a good book….so calming.
Me too. They’re my favorite days. Especially when it’s thundering. God’s blessing us all with rain. Without rain, no beauty.
Another enchanting video thank you Marion and the pitter patter of rain was delightful xx
What a beautiful little bee ❤
