Just wanted to say thank you you’ve been the greatest help, I’m 63 and the only one in my family who streams no one to ask for help, so I really rely on your RUclips channel!! I’m wanting to become a Super Fan, my question is once I get the loaded android box will it be completely loaded with TV shows and movies and will it automatically update? Thank you for all of your help over these past few years!!
Great video and information. I didn't know TiviMate can record live shows, do you have a video on it? I also did not know that you can use a keyboard attached to the USB adapter on a Fire TV stick to boot into safe mode.
Very informative as usual, fortunately I have not encountered those issues. I recommend your channel to my friends and colleagues. Keep up the GREAT work!
I have a slightly different issue. I decided last night to do a regular restart. Normally this procedure goes through just fine. Not this time though. I have the stuck Fire TV logo with 3 pulsating dots under the logo. Like it's loading or something. I performed a basic unplug. When I plugged back in, I see a message on start-up that says something like... "Optimizing system storage and applications. Process may take up to 10 Minutes". Ok, so in less than a minute, the Amazon home screen will be displayed for only about 1 minute and then it will switch to the Fire TV logo with the pulsating dots. Trying to avoid the factory reset. Don't know if it's actually Optimizing but it's been like this for hours. I just did another unplug/re-plug and I'm going to leave it alone for the next 6 hours. Don't know if you or anyone has ever seen this before so I wanted to post this strange issue on your channel. Any advice on what this could be would be helpful. Thank you. Thanks everyone. 👍
I've seen this on some customers units when they havent restarted for a while or they always leave the stick on and not in sleep mode when done. Unplug from the power outlet (not tv) for at least 60 seconds. Then plug it back in. 60 second unplug is needed to clear the memory. Then plug it back in and leave it alone. Go have lunch or something. Should be better when you get back.
Thanks for showing the USB hub switch/ charging/power station. I use one also and have been wondering if anyone else did. I also 9have as many things hard wired as possible to prevent any wireless issues. I hope the factory reset helps everyone that needs it.
Do you not use the Mission power cable from another video? This is a plug in the wall which I believe you said you use around the house. You somewhat warned about using the TV USB taking up to much power. I ordered the mission power cable and should receive it in a couple days after watching the video recently.
Mission cable is the alternative to use the USB port. Not many have that as it's just released. If you have it, you are good to go. But make sure you precharge the cord and still turn off automatic updates on your stick as you might turn your tv off not realizing an update was happening
If I had to reset my fire tv cube, I would not be able to get back some of my apps & definitely wouldn't be able to replace the all inclusive kodi app. Or is the boot loop problem only with the firesticks?
can you show us how to bring up the factory reset on a device that is actually boot looping? its all very well you can do it once you get in the menus but when its boot looping it dont go past the 3 dot loading screen
Both of my fire sticks stopped working within a week of each other…bought at same time about 3 years ago. Is this common? Batteries are fine as I can turn on and off the tv…..red light doesn’t come on
No, not common. But also has a lot to do with how you are using it. We have many videos to help you on the channel. Watch a few and you will see what's going on
I have binge watched all your videos and couldnt find how to fix a remote from the firestick 4K max. The power and volumn stopped working. I changed the battery and even tried a different remote from a different firestick 4K max, and I made sure to pair it with the firestick. And still no volumn or power working remote. I hope you might have an option, or will a reinstall help
Is it possible to do a factory reset if the remote un-syncs from the fire stick? I have no way to control the fire stick with either remote or FireTV app.
I'm stuck in the boot loop, had the firestick in a drawer for about 6 months as we weren't using it. Tried to use it again but it just flashes firetv on and off, tried everything in your video but still nothing.
Yeah, that’s common when you are more than 3 updates behind. You’ll have to do the remote code factory reset. You can do it. Just need to time the button hold correctly
I have noticed on my OS6 firestick that if I try to use a 1TB external drive it causes a boot loop. As soon as I unplug it, it work normal. Also, it is powered from a wall plug and not the USB from the tv.
Either you didn't use a compatible drive, or you aren't pre-charging your mission power cable (required for larger drives). We have all the links in our expansion video. Did you see them?
I’m a little disappointed, already had the set with thumb drive but still plugged into wall adapter for power. Worked great, then purchased USB power cable from your previous video and low and behold it developed the boot loop! Removed usb power cable and back to original power supply and no more boot loop! I liked the idea to power from tv usb and rebooting each time tv was turned on. Needless to say might be returning to amazon!! Waste of time and money.
Sorry not necessary, not giving up yet! Going to redo everything next week with 4K max and similar drive. Thank you for the reply and videos!! Enjoy watching and learning, I was just disappointed. Keep up the good work!!
I don't see how the external hard drive is of much use. Fire stick only reads 32 fat and files cannot be larger the 4 mb, so useless for video of any length. Unless I am missing something or miss informed.
Not sure what you mean. Do you use your firestick for live tv? Or do you still pay for cable? You can use a free M3U code through tivimate and pause and record live tv just fine. It's a must.
Mine no matter what I do stays on the loop screen, just keep saying fire tv and nothing else. Used a different power cord nope different tv nope different outlet nope it's all the sudden stuck showing me the fire tv logo with the color still moving around.
Unless your batteries are dead, it will factory reset. You hold down the two buttons at the same time and keep them held through the boot loop until it’s starts resetting. Can take 2-3 min of holding. You can also call Amazon. They will tell you the same thing
@CuriosityCafe The batteries are new I just replaced them if I remember correctly. I'll replace them and do I push the buttons soon as I plug it in or do I wait because all I see in the start up screen and nothing else.
That's too bad for a couple reasons. One... you still use cinema (better apps now) and two you must not have the latest cinema install we have posted. Wish you the best. Just want you to have everything
Mine done it last week. I unplugged it from the TV and the outlet for 5 to 10 minutes. Hooked it back up and been working fine since.
Thanks, unplugging the power for a minute totally worked.

Yes it's already preloaded and also updates for you. Easiest setup ever
Great video and information. I didn't know TiviMate can record live shows, do you have a video on it? I also did not know that you can use a keyboard attached to the USB adapter on a Fire TV stick to boot into safe mode.
Our tivimate video used to be on the channel but RUclips didn’t like it. So it’s moved to Patreon

@@CuriosityCafe Thank you. I will give that a try.
Another very helpful video. You make me feel like a pro user 😊
Great info bro! Yeah mine hasn't oot loop in couple of years but good old factory reset did the trick, Thanks!
Thanks for showing the USB hub switch/ charging/power station. I use one also and have been wondering if anyone else did. I also 9have as many things hard wired as possible to prevent any wireless issues. I hope the factory reset helps everyone that needs it.
I need to do this power plug etc at some point. Right now I have an otg adapter with a thumb drive. Should be good to go for now.
Didn’t work for me. But hey, the latest model for $25? Why the hell not! All good now!
I factory resetted, removed external USB drive. Seems to be ok for now. Thanks! I was going to throw it in the garbage.

Happens on both devices. Factory reset would lose everything. But honestly way better options than Kodi. Kodi was big maybe 5-7 years ago.
can you show us how to bring up the factory reset on a device that is actually boot looping? its all very well you can do it once you get in the menus but when its boot looping it dont go past the 3 dot loading screen
We have done this video sir
Thanks your videos are so educative just keep it up

We have remote fix videos. That's an easy fix. It just not connected to your tv model.
It worked for almost a year@@CuriosityCafe
Yes, sometimes it just unsyncs for whatever reason. it's in settings under equipment. Just select your tv
I will give that a try, Thank you very much. Your videos are more than helpfull for us@@CuriosityCafe
Is it possible to do a factory reset if the remote un-syncs from the fire stick? I have no way to control the fire stick with either remote or FireTV app.
Why not use the fire tv app?
Hi, is there anything i can do if i lost the remote? Can i do the factory reset in any other way?
Did you use the fire tv app. We have a video on it. It's free and you phone can control your stick
If the stick is dead completely and you don't have a remote, do the trade in for a new one. All they want is the stick
I'm stuck in the boot loop, had the firestick in a drawer for about 6 months as we weren't using it. Tried to use it again but it just flashes firetv on and off, tried everything in your video but still nothing.

@@CuriosityCafe I'll have to look them up. The external drive is a Western Digital 1TB Passport.
Yeah, that wasn't a linked drive. Look at the description section of the expansion video for drives that work

Waste of time and money.
I'm guessing you didn't pre-charge the cable like we mentioned in the video? This would cause this. Also says it right on the cord
It did work for approximately 2 hours then started the boot loop.
Then it's simply just that either your USB port can't sustain the charge or your drive is different from the one we posted. Sorry
Sorry not necessary, not giving up yet! Going to redo everything next week with 4K max and similar drive. Thank you for the reply and videos!! Enjoy watching and learning, I was just disappointed.
Keep up the good work!!
Thank you Sir 😎
So confused you said the MC.power adapter and it turns your fire stick on and off and has its in power supply??
This video im doesn't apply to mission cable owners. This is a boot loop issue. 99% of people don't have a mission cable
@@CuriosityCafe ok cool thanks..I just got confused when you said the MC power adapter was the way to go. Thanks for the clarification
What if the boot looping stick will no longer pair with the remote. Tried everything.
Should still be able to get past the loop. Did you call Amazon fire tv support?
It’s hard to see what you’re doing when you’re wearing a black/dark shirt behind the black fire stick stuff.
I know. Epic failure on my part

Brand new used one day cane home frome work stuck on a boot loop no command and none of these worked to fix my issue 😑
That's a power issue. Make sure you are using the official adapters with no accessories plugged in. If it's brand new, you should be calling Amazon.
Mine no matter what I do stays on the loop screen, just keep saying fire tv and nothing else. Used a different power cord nope different tv nope different outlet nope it's all the sudden stuck showing me the fire tv logo with the color still moving around.
Did you factory reset it with the remote code? I’ve fixed thousands by doing that. Timing is key. People don’t do it at the right time.
@@CuriosityCafe it won't let me do anything at all. It's like the remote is dead but works perfectly with my other fire stick.
Unless your batteries are dead, it will factory reset. You hold down the two buttons at the same time and keep them held through the boot loop until it’s starts resetting. Can take 2-3 min of holding. You can also call Amazon. They will tell you the same thing

As soon as it starts booting hold them down and don't let go even it it reboots 2-3 times. It will prompt when to let go
My fire stick taking so long to come and it keep freezing up
Time to clean it up or factory reset it.
I don’t that two times already
Old stick? New one was on sale for just $24 the other day. Can't keep these forever
What if you have a firetv then what?
If under warranty contact seller, if not, factory reset
Will doing a factory reset wipe out all my apps ??
Yes
Thanks
How can u enable unknown sources on firetv
We have a video on it. click our channel name and look for developer options missing video
Didn’t work when I tried it. Plugged it into a wall outlet and still nothing
And the factory reset?
You're wearing a black shirt and showing her stuff that's black. Needless to say we can't see what you're doing.
I'm sorry, I will do better next time. i wasn't intending on showing anything like that. Just talk about how to fix it. It was my mistake.
I took the hdmi extender and it started working
Mine is new and it does this ugh
Probably a power issue. Use an outlet with their plug, no extra add ons, and it should be fine.
@@CuriosityCafe Thanks it in the wall much better but still a little circle
i don't use my firestick so much anymore since my Cinema app not working well 🖓
