It is so refreshing to hear someone talk about the positives of working at Amazon. I really didn't have a bad experience there either. People don't realize how good they have it sometimes. No life experience.

These kinds of videos are very interesting and valuable. I feel that way too often, the news media glorifies Amazon because their salaries for white-collar/software workers are insanely high but they neglect the folks in the warehouse as well as the drivers who break their backs making sure that things run smoothly. The reality is that not everyone is a corporate/tech worker and that blue-collar workers matter too. Thanks for sharing your experience.

    Hello
Great video thanks. I am thinking about working at Amazon. I have a few questions. How do you get a hold of your manager while you are working at your post on the floor? Is it easy to find someone if you have a question? Are you allowed to have water/food on the floor with you? If so, is there a close by spot to refill your water bottle? Are there many bathrooms throughout the warehouse that are close to the post you are at (less than a five minute walk so it won't register as TOT or are the restrooms a long walk to get to )? My final question is if there is a bad snow storm or ice storm coming how is Amazon with you calling out if the roads are bad?
I'm going to watch your other Amazon videos as well.
    Thanks.

I did Ubereats a little and mostly doordash when I was laid off of my day job during the shutdown for a couple of month and did post mates as well and post mates a few years ago. So the only thing is that you absolutely have no job security with those apps they will always just default to penalizing you if there are any complaints and it would be up to you to get things straightened out which is not easy to even get a hold of them sometimes even though I have never had any bad experiences like that I have heard horror stories and would not like to have to worry about my job standing constantly. Second thing is if you have a newer car like I do then the extra miles you put on it will be considerable and that cost you, depending on how much your car is worth , anywhere from $50 to $100 a week or more in depreciation up and beyond what you would normally have not including extra break pads per year , extra oil changes and other things which yes you can write some of that off in taxes but not all. So it's better if your not running a nice car in the ground for that job.

@@Calihustla here the thing even if your car is really new if you plan on keeping it for 10 years or more then it won't be as bad because your eventually going to put a lot of miles on it anyway and the extra miles become less of a factor as the car ages as a matter of fact after ten years the outdated interior becomes as much of a factor as the miles. Ever been in a really old car that has a cassette player ? But if you have a car thats new with only 50k miles or less and you are planning on trading it in or selling it in 2 or 3 years then--- uhhh 10k extra mile in addition to 50 or 60k is a lot compared to in addition to 150k + which an extra 10k miles would mean very little.

I get 88 hours of vacation a year. 80 hours of UPT a year and 48 hours of PTO a year.. Plus LOA leaves if you need one pretty easy to get one. it is work and very repetitive. So it can get pretty boring. But that's like most warehouse jobs in general. Oh by the way Amazon is WAY better then UPS and FedEx if you were wondering I did both at one time. UPS in union BUT you have to work in a hot sweaty FC for 8 months before you get a full time gig and it's back breaking work. It was awful.

I don’t think that’s true at all. There are many educated people such as myself that lost their jobs during this pandemic that decided to do jobs such as Uber to make money. We can’t be so quick to judge & there are many people with degrees that don’t make this much. As far as the lack of benefits, there are many other options to invest into your 401k & medical benefits. With a company’s contribution, it definitely helps but it’s not the only option. In regards to wear & tear on your vehicle, you do have to consider that. Uber has options to rent a car, which does cut into your pay. That’s where the math comes in & you decide if Uber is a better option than a traditional job. With me having an interior design business, I love the option to do Uber when I have the time.

Yeah you're right, scheduling your shifts, picking the right orders and areas to deliver in, setting aside money for taxes, finding your own insurance and funding your Roth IRA. Yeah you're right, that's entry level shit. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

oK, So it sounds like she came in at a low entry level. Thats why she is talking pay cut and no stress.

You no longer care about how much you make but yet you're bragging about how much money you're making from Ubereats. Make up your mind.

Who says I don’t care how much I make? Also, I’m not bragging…the point of the video is to give tips on how others can make money too and not working at a stressful job.

@@withnnicole2149 5:06 mins into the video. You were talking about the huge pay decrease. No matter what you do in life. You can't always take the easy way out. You gotta work hard for whatever it is you want in life. Don't blame the job for the stress. It's all different for each individual on how they take in the situation. Good luck on your endeavor.

Sorry, but you didn't make that amount. You have to pay car expenses, pay federal, state, and local taxes, both your portion and the employer's portion of social security, Medicare tax, etc. You have to take all that into account.
