I thought it would be a good idea giving you 10 pros and 10 cons of working at the Amazon Warehouse. I'll be giving you my honest review since I had experience working at two different Amazon warehouses. I worked at a fulfillment & sort center. I ended up quitting my job to work for Uber Eats and starting my business however, I enjoyed working there!

thank you for sharing your story. I love amazon because they have everything but am usually concerned the price is too good to be true. would you ever want a work from home job? insurance claims adjusters are going that direction, make 60kish and work from home, better quality of life.

I’m a FMLA Claims adjuster working from home and it’s boring … at a computer all day no movement gaining weight only pro I work at home.

I understand the long walks to and fro from the breakdowns and restrooms.... It would be great to have at least multiple break areas including restrooms near work area... however, it could be a way of trying to deter theft, employees hanging out and help with a maintaining cleaner warehouse (help with janitors upkeep).... Ijs.😕

11:45 As of August 1, all employees must wear steel toe shoes. I don't think sneakers, gym shoes, tennis shoes, uggs, etc. are allowed anymore.

My managers know my name 😅😅😅 and today is my first day of the 3rd week. I think working for Amazon is and will always be hard for lazy people.

Just applied for 1.20am-11.50am 4 days a week at $20.30 and the $3000 sign on bonus.

What if u have to go to bathroom aka restroom
Use to work Wal-Mart warehouse inn90s that warehouse was over football fields long about 3 wide. Took me 10 min to reach my area. I watch Amazon videos and wished it was that easy back then. People barely move or lift at Amazon. I worked non bulk and heavy items. We rode eclectic pallet hacks all over loading by hand onto carts furniture, paint buckets, huge bags of pet food etc that can't run on the belts. Had to pull 1200 pieces,in 8 HR shift bust ass work all day...

I agree with all of these but I wanted to add a few things myself... I remember last week I had a lady just walk off of the picktabuff line (and If you worked for amazon you know that word) so I had to pick for 8 shelves which was extremely difficult... Also, because the warehouse I work at is a small one, most of the managers DO know us by name... I have to say I LOVE stowing to both the pods AND to dispatch, only downside to stowing to the pods is those boxes I have to open up and hope I have a pod big enough to fit the items in, so that would be one of my cons... Also, at my location we dont have HR so I have to use the app which is no help when I need it... I JUST learned simple bin count and I want to learn the other 2 but other than that I think I have learned every position at Amazon except maybe the loading docks...
You give some great tips and there hours don't work for people it's not good and I did notice that if a person been there longer are liked by the assistants that person don't make them do much work for example one day I was a puller and I was told to do 9 lanes which was unreal while the person who was on the same side as me did only 4 lanes plus there was some one at the start of the lane it was not organized and it's kind of like working for a temp service job but it's not a bad place to work but I think they should change the hours
They have 4 - 8 - 10 & 12 hour shifts. Did your location give you that option?

I personally never received a sign on bonus
3000 bonus is for delivery drivers

You’ll gain weight at Amazon. Everyone i met got fatter. We all quit though lmao. The make rate was too robotic
it's easy to gain weight I noticed because you stay eating junk food durning your shift. And I agree, they rate is unrealistic.

They have a lot of fans spread out like every other isle. I think the temperature is fine.

I tried to apply they wanted me to do an in person interview
The in person interview is not what you think, they don't ask you questions. The "Interview" is to pick your schedule, take a drug test & agree to run a background check.

Second day at Sort Center coming up. I'm already thinking of quitting because they changed my schedule and didn't tell me UNTIL I SHOWED UP. I'm PT and seasonal. I don't need the income. It was just spending money. Confused about what to do.
Wow. I would ask to speak to HR & tell them unfortunately you’ll have to quit because of that. Say it in a professional way. They desperately need people especially because the Christmas holidays are coming up so they don’t want to lose anyone. Good luck & tell me how it went.
@@withnnicole2149They added an extra hour without telling me. That's kind of dishonest. I'll see how it works out, then if I decide to leave, I will through the A to Z app. I'm in my 50s and don't need the money. Thanks for getting back to me.

Thats a lie you can not just transfer like that dont lie to your viewers. Cause ive work for them last year and they did not transfer me i had to quit because they say i was a good worker so they couldnt move me

People do it all the time.Maybe they didn’t feel like you were worth going through the trouble of extra paperwork…you can call HR & they will tell u it’s possible…I don’t gain anything from lying
