James Earl Jones was their first choice to play Captain Sisko but due to his excess weight he wasn't selected..just think how great that line would have sounded if he said it with his Epic voice!
14:14 "All hands, this is the Captain. As you all know we can outrun the Klingons. But we must protect the Enterprise C until she enters the temporal rift. And we must succeed! We have to make sure history never forgets, the name Enterprise. Picard out."
lol, yeah there's a lot of Horner crossover between his Aliens and STII and STIII soundtracts, hell sometimes when I listen to Enemy at the Gates I hear Aliens
It's undeniable that Mr. Goldsmith redefined the theme for the Klingons with TMP soundtrack. Mr. Eidelman was brilliant with his additions and Mr. Horner made Kruge unforgettable.
From the start to 1:40, it's something I've long pictured as being the theme music to a Klingon focused show. Fits with the much more sinister theme that would work as a counterpoint to all the bright future of the Federation focused Trek series.
Obviously the last upload on this channel was quiet a long time ago. But I do have to say this. I ADORE THESE. These mega suites are amazing, especially this one. I hear it while playing Stellaris or doing completely other stuff, and always are having the time of my life! I wish there were more.
I was sitting here, nodding off instead off getting ready to go and do some chores, then this came on and I nearly bounced out of my chair.... Great Stuff!!!! The mixes and the choice placements are amazing!!! Bravo!!!!
(16:30) Worf: "What I say now, I say as a member of the House of Martok, not a Starfleet Officer. You have dishonored yourself and the Empire, and you are not worthy to lead the Council."
Interesting. I missed some of these themes because I didn't watch Star Trek as much as I used to in the mid to late 90's. An exemplary presentation of the various themes used with the Klingon's appearances in the various Star Trek franchises. Thanks for the effort you put into this. Live Well.
We need a star trek Klingons series, based on the adventures of the crew of a klingon bird of prey that discovered a new threat to the empire or just a exploratory klingon vessel
Star Trek III still sounds very Klingon, but it's actually quite a departure from the Klingon theme from TMP (which is the one used in most subsequent films and TV shows)
That theme from the first movie, (starts at 43:00) always associate it with the terrifying majesty of V'ger. The magic of that film just sucked me in utterly and still does.
Valkris ? The big boobed gal from "Battle beyond the Stars" ? Yes , that was over 30 years ago ...... they were that impressive . LOL Did they use this name in Star Trek too ?
The best decloaking scene, by my estimates, is in ST IV, as the aptly named HMS Bounty (stolen Bird of Prey) decloaks over the whalers... those bastards were hunting George and Gracie, and got a well deserved "scare of there life"
Great combination! Especially love the earlier movie works, just because of sentiment and how it really stirred me seeing the Klingon ships on the big screen in the "Star Trek: The Motion Picture", but the they've always done well composing music for the Klingon presence. Thanks for this fine work, Tyrannicus!
My favorite Klingon theme is the same - Star Trek: The Motion Picture by Jerry Goldsmith - the theme, in my opinion, captures the proudness and determination of self preservation of the species
On this I agree. If there ever was a Klingon Captain I would be very afraid to fight. General Chang would be top next to Martok of course. His character alone is a bit intimidating. I would keep my eyes on this one. Qapla. Glory to you and your house.
Gowron? The eyes... The eyes! Ok, actually I agree that Chang is a great Klingon. He's smart, cunning, well read. His only competition is Martok. But given that Chang was the main baddie of ST-VI and Martok is a goodie in DS9, let's say that Chang is the best baddie and Martok the best goodie?
The ST V first part is the one that makes the hairs on my neck stand up, maybe a combination of nostalga, the slightly softer tone it has than some of the other versions of that theme, that makes it sound like they know they are a fading people...but at the same time, by god they are not going to go quietly
For starting out as a thinly veiled excuse villain stand-in for the Soviets, the Klingons have evolved into a distinct culture that, while I do not agree completely with, I can understand their reasoning and roll with it. You want something done? Make the other person's honor involved. Show no weakness by asking for help, instead offer a share of the glory in the potential victory.
I love the Klingon Megasuite the best, then the Vulcan one. The Klingon one has alot of high drama and unusual sounds, the Vulcan one sublime and eerie at times. Reminds me of the various sequences of series and movies.
Tell someone you love them today, because life is fleeting. But scream it at them in Klingon because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Ooooh. I've finally found the music to play when playing my Klingon in star trek online. Awesomesauce!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who do that.
You most definitely are not. This is perfect for flying my new Vor'Cha class.
I too, find that this music brings Honor and Glory to the Battles in Star Trek Online !!!! Kai Kassai !!!!!

You've got to admit, that Star Trek II gig was good for James Horner, he got paid for it multiple times... ;)
Excellent on the Klingon Wedding Theme from DS9, 20:20.
shivers down my whole body. you composed this together better than anyone else could.
I would say so also… except for the fact that I’m part (3/4) Klingon!
Excellent mix of STV and TMP:Klingon Battle during the last quarter of this piece. Love the First Contact bit at the end. Finished it nicely.
Thank you!
I’m surprised they didn’t throw in Khan’s chase theme from STII; he was as close to being Klingon as a Human could possibly get!
Another brilliant addition to the Star Trek Mega Suites
It's undeniable that Mr. Goldsmith redefined the theme for the Klingons with TMP soundtrack. Mr. Eidelman was brilliant with his additions and Mr. Horner made Kruge unforgettable.
Look up a movie called "Wolfen." The Klingon battle theme first appeared there.
From the start to 1:40, it's something I've long pictured as being the theme music to a Klingon focused show. Fits with the much more sinister theme that would work as a counterpoint to all the bright future of the Federation focused Trek series.

With steel and the fire of war did the Klingons forge their empire; and with duty, loyalty, and honor have they upheld it.

This is now my go-to background music for D&D battles.

It's hard to beat that Gerry Goldsmith theme with the trumpets. Good stuff, so iconic.

(16:30) Worf: "What I say now, I say as a member of the House of Martok, not a Starfleet Officer. You have dishonored yourself and the Empire, and you are not worthy to lead the Council."
It's fun to think such a culture exists in the stars.
A strongly militarized one, like Japanese empire,is perfectly possible ..the worst thing may happen us is if Aliens were also humans..
lol...what if they are handsome men and beautiful women, and humorous than terrans. That's not the worst thing.
I'm sure most here will agree when I say the best was saved for last!
I can imagine being a Klingon listing to this music on the bridge of my D7 while in battle against Starfleet.
