      James Earl Jones was their first choice to play Captain Sisko but due to his excess weight he wasn't selected..just think how great that line would have sounded if he said it with his Epic voice!

    It's undeniable that Mr. Goldsmith redefined the theme for the Klingons with TMP soundtrack. Mr. Eidelman was brilliant with his additions and Mr. Horner made Kruge unforgettable.

    From the start to 1:40, it's something I've long pictured as being the theme music to a Klingon focused show. Fits with the much more sinister theme that would work as a counterpoint to all the bright future of the Federation focused Trek series.

    Obviously the last upload on this channel was quiet a long time ago. But I do have to say this.
    I ADORE THESE. These mega suites are amazing, especially this one. I hear it while playing Stellaris or doing completely other stuff, and always are having the time of my life!
    I wish there were more.

    Interesting. I missed some of these themes because I didn't watch Star Trek as much as I used to in the mid to late 90's. An exemplary presentation of the various themes used with the Klingon's appearances in the various Star Trek franchises. Thanks for the effort you put into this. Live Well.

    Star Trek III still sounds very Klingon, but it's actually quite a departure from the Klingon theme from TMP (which is the one used in most subsequent films and TV shows)

    That theme from the first movie, (starts at 43:00) always associate it with the terrifying majesty of V'ger. The magic of that film just sucked me in utterly and still does.

    The best decloaking scene, by my estimates, is in ST IV, as the aptly named HMS Bounty (stolen Bird of Prey) decloaks over the whalers... those bastards were hunting George and Gracie, and got a well deserved "scare of there life"

    Great combination! Especially love the earlier movie works, just because of sentiment and how it really stirred me seeing the Klingon ships on the big screen in the "Star Trek: The Motion Picture", but the they've always done well composing music for the Klingon presence.     My favorite Klingon theme is the same - Star Trek: The Motion Picture by Jerry Goldsmith - the theme, in my opinion, captures the proudness and determination of self preservation of the species

      On this I agree. If there ever was a Klingon Captain I would be very afraid to fight. General Chang would be top next to Martok of course. His character alone is a bit intimidating. I would keep my eyes on this one. Qapla. Glory to you and your house.

      Don't be dilly, Mortock was the best Klingon ever. Didn't navigate between Federation and Dominion to be the Supreme ruler. Wasn't Warf his Champion.

      Ok, actually I agree that Chang is a great Klingon. He's smart, cunning, well read. His only competition is Martok. But given that Chang was the main baddie of ST-VI and Martok is a goodie in DS9, let's say that Chang is the best baddie and Martok the best goodie?

    The ST V first part is the one that makes the hairs on my neck stand up, maybe a combination of nostalga, the slightly softer tone it has than some of the other versions of that theme, that makes it sound like they know they are a fading people...but at the same time, by god they are not going to go quietly

    For starting out as a thinly veiled excuse villain stand-in for the Soviets, the Klingons have evolved into a distinct culture that, while I do not agree completely with, I can understand their reasoning and roll with it. You want something done? Make the other person's honor involved. Show no weakness by asking for help, instead offer a share of the glory in the potential victory.

    I love the Klingon Megasuite the best, then the Vulcan one. The Klingon one has alot of high drama and unusual sounds, the Vulcan one sublime and eerie at times. Reminds me of the various sequences of series and movies.
